IDF: Over 50 terror targets struck in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon; IDF troops continue operational activity in the Gaza Strip and in southern Lebanon

IDF troops continue operational activity in the area of Jabaliya, over the past day, the troops eliminated dozens of terrorists. In addition, the troops located and dismantled a weapons storage facility.
In the area of Rafah, the troops continue operational activity, eliminating terrorists, locating weapons, and dismantling terrorist infrastructure.

Over the past day, the IAF struck over 50 terror targets in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, among the targets struck were military structures, weapons storage facilities and launchers.

IDF: Over the past day, the launchers from which projectiles were fired from Lebanon toward Acre and Ahihud earlier today were struck by the IAF.

This evening, the IAF conducted intelligence-based strikes on Hezbollah command centers from which Hezbollah commanders and terrorists were operating, in a civilian area near the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah systematically takes control of civilian areas and infrastructures throughout the country and embeds commanders and operatives in civilian areas in order to plan and carry out terror attacks, putting Lebanese civilians in harms way.

Over the past day, IDF troops eliminated dozens of terrorists in southern Lebanon.
In addition, numerous weapons storage facilities and terrorist infrastructure were struck in southern Lebanon.

These strikes are part of the IDF's continuous efforts to dismantle and degrade Hezbollah's capabilities and restrict the organization's ability to restore them.

IDF: Following the sirens that sounded between 15:30 and 15:50 regarding hostile aircraft infiltrations in the Western and Upper Galilee areas, all of the UAVs that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory were intercepted by the IAF.

Following the sirens that sounded in between 15:54 and 15:55 in the Central and Western Galilee areas, approximately 30 projectiles were identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. Most of the projectiles fell in open areas. A fallen projectile was identified in the area.

Following the sirens that sounded at 15:48 in the Upper Galilee area, it was determined to be a false identification.

Joint IDF and COGAT announcement:

In accordance with directive from the political echelon and as part of the effort to increase the volume and routes of aid to the Gaza Strip, the IDF via COGAT and the Southern Command, is preparing to open the Kissufim crossing.

The introduction of humanitarian aid through the Kissufim crossing was made possible following engineering work carried out in the area over recent weeks by the IDF Gaza Division’s engineering unit, the Southern Command's engineering unit, and the Southern Brigade forces.

As part of the work, the forces built inspection facilities and protective infrastructure, and paved roads both in Israeli territory and within the Gaza Strip to allow the transfer of aid to the southern part of the Strip. This was done while ensuring the safety of the Israeli communities along the border with the Gaza Strip.

IDF: A short while ago, sirens were sounded in the Western Galilee and Upper Galilee areas following the identification of several suspicious aerial targets that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory.
The targets are monitored by the IAF and the incident is still ongoing.
The public is asked to continue to follow the defensive guidelines of the Home Front Command.
