I think some IELTS bloggers should take a look at this picture and understand that some teachers are too busy (as the cheetah) to be involved in the pursuit of attention on some online platforms. I'm Sheroz Akhmadov, 29 y.o. I've been teaching English since 2017 and instructing candidates for IELTS since 2019. I've taken the IELTS exam TEN times so far, and scored an overall 8.5 on the ninth! I started preparing students for Multilevel (CEFR) exam in September last year. So, to familiarize myself with the exam, I set the exam four times, and got C1 in all of them, Alhamdulillah!

Nokia 5130 Express Music

I was a 3rd-grade student when I was equipped with a phone. The primary reason my parents handed me a mobile phone was that my school schedule was flexible - pick-up times varied daily. And I was required to give them a call when my classes were over either for them to pick me up or get home within 10-20 minutes after the school.

The phone that no one uses now was a luxury for me less than a decade ago (even though nothing interesting could be done with this phone). It didn't have any video games, internet access, but the classic snake game. Every now and then, I used to play the snakes and listen to the preset list of songs.

Times changed...

When I look at my little brother, this guy got a decent smartphone - full of video games, YouTube, TikTok (sometimes I see him reciting trendy lines of Insta World). Unfortunately, it takes its toll: academic setbacks, sedentary lifestyle (belly like in late 40s).

Good times create... (unfortunately)

In short, I think if there is a real need for your child to have a phone - like to communicate with you, for studies, and etc, give them one that's limited to that particular function. And unlock other features as they grow mature.

Either you lead your child, or there are thousands of people (even more online) to lead them. You decide!

After an overall 8.5!

So, I don't know what to say, yet Alhamdulilllah!

BC put a 6.5 on my fully-finished writing tasks first. However, with enough confidence, I appealed it along with reading and speaking sections! You can see the results on the screenshots above! On a positive note, this is my 7th overall 8.0 and 5th 9.0 on Listening!

I won't take the exam with BC any longer! And, there's still a lot of room for improvement!
