Perhaps the most plausible suggestion as to why leaves would go to the trouble of making anthocyanins when they’re busy packing up for the winter is the theory known as the ‘light screen’ hypothesis. It sounds paradoxical, because the idea behind this hypothesis is that the red pigment is made in autumn leaves to protect chlorophyll, the light-absorbing chemical, from too much light.
QUESTION: It is likely that the red pigments help to protect the leaf from freezing temperatures
On a serious note though, we mispronounce a lot of words just because others mispronounce them(mostly our teachers)
Some of the examples include words such as: whole. I have seen many students pronouncing it 'hul'. Well, to be honest, I used to do the same up until recently, because I used to hear people saying it this way and I never actually bothered to check it on the dictionary.
Another commonly mispronounced word would be 'industry'. People say its indastry but in fact it is not(look it up)
Anyway, there are many more examples but the point is it is almost always a bad idea to look up to non-native speakers for improving your pronunciation.

I have had this video for some time now. Every now and then, I watch it and it breaks my heart everytime. It makes me realize no matter what circumstance I'm in, I'll always be more privileged than people like him. And it doesnt feel quite right. It also makes me realize that I dont help others as often as I should. This doesnt feel quite right too.
I see people(mostly disabled) begging for money/food on the street and I just think about how unfair life can be at times...

Can you remember the first english song that you learned to sing? This is mine. I used to sing this song 24/7 despite not understanding a word of it😂. Listening to it now brings back so many memories and it reminds me of how fast time has passed. At the time, i was just learning english words like 'show' 'lonely' etc. Now i'm teaching English:)
And I believe this song is better than 90% of songs produced now. A true masterpiece.

Turns out, this man passed away recently... homeless. And as a man, I understand how hard it is to admit that you need something. And there are thousands of similar stories out there, we just dont know it or we just dont care:(
I was just thinking of collecting donation so that we could somewhat help these people. However, the fact I have quite a small audience got me thinking whether I would work or not. What do you think?
