Genuine advice to IELTS candidates.
Some of you follow 10+ IELTS channels and get almost no value.
Almost every channel I know(except the ones run by amateurs) offers something valuable like speaking and writing sample answers. There is Alisher and Dilshodbek, for example, who share essays almost every day. Analyzing those essays, learning ideas and vocabulary probably takes 20-30 minutes. Plus, there is a chance that you will get the same topic that they’ve already written.
For example, today’s topic was very challenging for an average candidate but I shared a sample answer for it several weeks ago. To be honest, I write the essays I post in the channel more for myself than for subscribers but still you can learn a lot from essays.
So the advice is try to get as much value as you can from each essay or speaking sample answer. Dont take it for granted.
Negative developments such as crime, natural disasters, or terrorist attacks often receive a disproportionate amount of media attention compared to positive news. This has created a concern among the public, who express that this has harmful effects on people and society as a whole. While I understand the concern, I believe it might be an overreaction.
One of the proclaimed negative effects of the media coverage of bad news is that it can create an unnecessary fear among the public. As media can have a significant impact on people’s perceptions and emotions, the constant exposure to negative news can distort the reality for many people. The recent COVID-19 pandemic showed us how vulnerable people are to negative news, even it comes from an unreliable source, as it can create panic among the population.
However, in my opinion, these perceived dangers of media focusing more on negative news are an exaggeration. Firstly, this has been going on for so long that people have come to realize focusing too much on bad news is nothing more than a media stunt. As media outlets are well aware of the intrinsic interest of people in negativity, they tend to sensationalize bad news for attention.
In addition, with the widespread adaptation of smartphones and the internet, people now have a greater control over what news they consume. Some mobile apps and websites allow users to subscribe to specific topics of interest and follow more credible sources. This ability of people to filter news goes to show that they are not as adversely affected by the reports of negative news as some people make it out to be.
In conclusion, the concern regarding the effects of bad news on the media mainly stems from the argument that it can lead to reality distortion. However, this seems to me an overstatement as people now possess awareness of tactics used by the mainstream media and they also have more control over their news consumption.

Zebo took part in my Intensive Course earlier in this academic year and scored an overall band score of 7.5, falling only 0.5 short of Band 8.0.
Writing 7.5 was a pleasant surprise for both of us, which is hard-earned!

Anecdotal example are okay as long as they are pertinent/relevant.
Check this example:
Online libraries are sometimes
unreliable. For example, my father lost $200 from his debit card trying to buy his favorite book from a website that claimed to be authentic.
Another example
Studying a various range of subjects may prevent students from mastering their majors. Take my country - Uzbekistan. Most university students are expected to learn as many as 15 subjects during an academic year and this often deters them from delving into their majors, leading to only superficial understanding of their subjects.
These two examples are anecdotal meaning they are based on MY personal accounts rather than facts or research.
However, I personally avoid giving fake data/statistics.

A couple of mistakes do not mean a bad speaker. Making a mistake while using 'present simple' is not the end of the world because probably you use 10+ 'present simple's correctly.
Another day, another 7.5 in writing.
Speaking should have been a little higher but we’ll take that
Congratulations Manuchehr. You rock :)
The tendency for news reports in the media to focus on problems and emergencies rather than on positive developments is harmful to the individual and to society.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement

The pie charts illustrate a survey on customer satisfaction conducted by Parkway hotel among 100 guests in 2005 and 2010. Overall, the majority of participants in the survey found the service provided by the hotel either satisfactory or poor in 2005. However, by 2010, the hotel was able to improve its services as many customers expressed positive sentiments about the hotel.
Focusing on the neutral and negative feedback first, almost half(45%) of the guests participating in the questionnaire said they were generally satisfied with their experience in the hotel in 2005 but the proportion of people with neutral comments reduced considerably to 17% after 5 years. While 21% of customers found the services poor, 15% of them were totally disappointed with their stay. These figures, however, dropped noticeably to 12% and 4%, respectively in 2010.
In contrast, those who generally enjoyed staying in the hotel made up the minority in 2005. People who chose the ‘good’ option constituted 14% in 2005, with this figure further increasing to a staggering 39% in 2010. Lastly, only 5% of the visitors were fully satisfied with the hotel and the percentage of people finding the hotel outstanding rose significantly to 28% in 2010.

I did the same. I had to take exam in a week and didn't have time to look through all speaking questions. I just joined your speaking marathon and used some of your ideas during the exam. I had that question about fixing things in part 1, about new shop in part 2 and some questions related to shopping in part 3. Thank you for your valuable ideas by the way. 🤗
