There is a view that government should shoulder the responsibility of offering care and funds for retirees; however, others say that it is individuals themselves that should prepare for life after retirement. While the government support would be of significant help to retirees, I believe individuals should take charge of their own retirement planning.

The government support can significantly contribute to the well-being of the elderly population. Firstly, governments can establish pension programs and free healthcare provisions. This can address issues of inequality by ensuring that everyone, regardless of their financial capacity, has access to essential services during retirement.

On the other hand, relying on government for retirement support can increase the burden on government resources. The aforementioned pension programs and free healthcare require substantial financial resources. As the aging population grows and life expectancies increase, the financial burden on governments also escalates. This strain may lead to challenges in sustaining quality retirement support services, affecting the overall effectiveness of such programs.

Therefore, I favor the individual responsibility approach to retirement. This approach emphasizes the active role people play in securing their financial well-being during their post-working years. The key step in this is promoting financial literacy and education. This education should take place during people’s careers, and by understanding concepts such as investment and savings, people can make informed decisions about their future. This education can equip people with skills necessary for managing their retirement.

In conclusion, although the governments’ role in taking care of the elderly would be important, I believe it can become a major strain on government resources since launching effective retirement programs requires significant financial backing. So, people should bear the responsibility of preparing for life after retirement. This approach not only allows individuals to take control of their financial future, but it also alleviates the burden on government, fostering a more balanced system.

The bar chart compares how much money was spent on clothes by adults and children in the US from 1985 to 2005. Overall, adults, especially women tended to allocate more money to purchasing clothing items than children. While there was a rise in the clothing expenditures by all age groups and genders, the increase was much more noticeable among adults.

Starting adults, women expended around $500 a year on clothes in 1985, twice more than their male counterparts in the same year. However, this spending gap narrowed after a decade, with women spending little over $500 and men allocating about $450. Despite this, in 2005, the amount of money spent by women rose to a staggering $650, compared to that of men, which saw a negligible fall to $400.

In contrast, children exhibited consistently small figures. In 1985, boy’s annual expenditure on clothes stood at around $90, a figure that rose to $100 in 1995 and remained unchanged in 2005. Girls, meanwhile, spent the same $90 in 1985. This figure then rose to over $100 before further increasing to approximately $140 in the final year.

The process by which ceramic pots are produced can be outlined in a number of consecutive steps. Overall, there are four stages to the process starting with excavating raw materials, followed refining them, making half-ready pots, and finally reprocessed the pots before they are ready for consumption. Moreover, the process is a complex one, which requires much time and equipment to complete.

The first two stages are rather simple: raw material – clay or sand – is dug by excavator, which is then taken to a factory, where the remaining steps of the process take place. Once delivered, the raw material has to be crushed using a grinding machine, in which the large chunks of clay are turned into fine sand.

The next stage begins when the ground sand is mixed with water in a cylinder tank. The resulting mixture is then poured into molds, where it stays from 4 to as much as 6 hours. When complete pots are created, they are placed in an oven at a temperature of 1000 degrees Celsius in order to remove the moisture content from the pots, making them more durable.

The final stage involves making the pots more attractive. First, they are dyed by being dipped in a container filled with color and then they proceed to color firing to ensure the permanence of the color.

Now, the Moon - the only natural satellite of Earth. There are many Moon pictures and videos in the channel. These are just some of my favorite ones.

The Moon plays a subtle yet important role in shaping life on Earth.

One of its effects is that the Moon causes tides, creating a rhythm that has guided humans for thousands of years.

It is mostly because of the Moon that we have 4 seasons because the gravitational interplay between our planet and the Moon stabilizes the Earths tilt on its axis.

It is said that the Moon was created around 4 billion years ago after a huge asteroid - Theia - hit Earth, causing a huge part of Earth to be sent into space. This debris over time collected into single object. This theory is supported by the fact that some of the materials found on Earth are also found on the Moon.

University education has long been considered an important element of a person’s success. This conventional notion, however, is now challenged by people who think that what contributes to the success of a person, such as the necessary qualities, cannot be gained through education at universities or schools. In my opinion, formal education still remains an important determinant of a person’s success as it teaches people a range of skills.

The university education is mostly theoretical. This excessive focus on theoretical concepts without the opportunities for practical application creates a gap between what is learned in the classroom and the skills needed in professional settings. Take my country – Uzbekistan. Most university students have to study around 10 subjects during an academic year, without hands-on and practical experiences. Therefore, most of the students feel they are not ready to start their career after their graduation. This often leads people to question the relevance of university education altogether.

Despite this concern, I tend to think academic education equips students with a number of skills that contribute to their success in the long term. Firstly, when students deal with the load of tasks at university, whether it be completing their assignments or preparing presentations, they learn how to effectively manage their time. Being able to juggle multiple tasks is an important skill, especially in today’s fast-paced job market as it can increase productivity.

Additionally, university education promotes collaboration and teamwork. When students work with each other as part of their studies in universities, they can understand the importance of dividing tasks equitably, taking turns, and making unanimous decisions. Such skills can prove useful
once students enter the workforce since successful career often involves co-operation.

In conclusion, academic knowledge gained in universities may not be what it takes to become successful. However, this does not negate the significance of formal education in a person’s success as it plays a pivotal role in helping students acquire essential skills, such as time management and collaboration.

In many countries, due to inadequate road infrastructure, drivers and cyclists have to use the same road. This naturally leads to several challenges and problems, some of which include safety concerns and increased levels of traffic congestions. However, developing dedicated bike lanes can mitigate those problems.

The coexistence of different modes of transportation on the same road increases the risks of accidents and collisions. One primary concern stems from the speed differences between motorized vehicles and cyclists. The former usually operates at a higher speed and this speed discrepancy can create hazardous situations when sharing the road with cyclists. This challenge can be exacerbated by road users failing to adapt to these varying speeds, leading to collisions particularly at intersections and during overtaking maneuvers.

The speed difference may even contribute to traffic congestions. Naturally, when there is a stark difference in speeds, this can hinder the smooth flow of traffic, leading to bottlenecks or slower overall travel. This is especially worse during peak hours, when the volume of traffic is large.

These challenges, however, can be somewhat overcome once dedicated bike lanes are facilitated. The segregation can significantly reduce the chances of accidents and collisions as cyclists can travel without the constant concern of sharing the road with high speed vehicles. The separation of bike lanes from motorized traffic can also improve the predictability for both cyclists and drivers, making it easier to carry out maneuvers. This can lead to a safer environment.

Apart from this, the introduction of bike lanes contributes to a smoother flow of traffic. When there is a designated space for cyclists, the potential conflicts and disruptions caused by the speed difference are minimized. This can help alleviate congestion, particularly during peak hours as each mode of transportation can operate independently.

In conclusion, drivers and cyclists sharing the same road poses a number of challenges, including higher risks of accidents and heightened traffic congestions. The most feasible solution to these problems would be to allocate exclusive cycling lanes.

Some people question the relevance of news to their lives, asserting that spending time reading or watching news is merely a waste. While these claims mainly stem from concerns about reporting bias and widespread misinformation, news continues to play an important role in informing people. Therefore, arguing that news has no impact on people is not entirely valid.

Biased reporting is one flaw of modern news culture. Oftentimes, news outlets have political or ideological leaning that color their reporting. For instance, when examining the reporting of war news, such as the conflict in Israel and Palestine, it becomes evident that both parties involved in the conflict present divergent narratives. Such a lack of objectivity in reporting erodes public trust in news outlets, which leads to doubts over the importance of news in today’s world.

Misinformation is another factor that often leads to mistrust in news. Most news outlets tend to prioritize ratings, views, and money over accuracy. Naturally, when the public discovers inaccuracies, intentional or not, it undermines their confidence in the news source’s credibility. If this happens on a regular basis with a range of other news sources, people are more likely to question the relevance of news altogether.

Despite these concerns, the significance of news in people’s lives is not lost. Firstly, reading or watching the news fosters critical thinking, especially in the digital age where credible sources are far and few between. When people expose themselves to fake news and they are well aware of this, this equips them with skills needed to discern the truth from misinformation by making comparisons.

Moreover, regular news consumption helps people stay prepared for potential crises. Whether it is a natural disaster or a health emergency, being aware of current events allows for a timely responses and better preparation. In contrast, someone who dismisses news as nothing more than a waste of time may find it challenging to adapt to new situations or take required measures.

In conclusion, I acknowledge the mistrust in media and news because of biased reporting and the spread of misinformation. However, this skepticism does not negate the news’ connection to people’s lives because reading or watching news regularly can enhance critical thinking skills and better prepare people for future emergencies.

The bar chart compares the ages when women had their first child in Australia from 1966 to 2006. Overall, there was a growing trend of later parenthood. While there was a sharp drop in the proportion of women who gave birth at the age of 19 and 20-24, an opposite trend was observed among women aged between 30 and over 40s, with the biggest rises seen among women in their 30s. By contrast, after an initial increase in the percentage of women who decided to have a baby in their late 20s, the figure fell in 2006.

In 1966, an overwhelming majority of women leaned towards earlier parenthood with over 60% falling within the 20-24 age bracket. However, this percentage saw a 20-point fall by 1986, further dropping to 30% in 2006. 25-29 was the second most common age for Australian women to give birth in 1966, with little under 40% of them choosing this age to be the most appropriate. After this, despite a considerable rise to over 50% in 1986, the percentage dropped to around 40% in 2006. Similar to women in 20-25 age bracket, those aged under 19 experienced a fall in numbers over the years from an initial 35% to around 21% in 1986 before finishing at a mere 11%.

The remaining age categories, however, experienced consistent rises in their figures. Women in the 30 to 34 and 35 to 39 age groups followed a similar trajectory, with their respective figures standing at 12% and 9% in 1966 and increasing to around 19% and 15% in 1986. After two decades, they maintained their trajectory as the proportion of women giving birth in their early 30s reached a staggering 50% and those from the 35-39 age bracket doubled. Women who gave birth to their firstborns after the age of 40, on the other hand, showed a modest 2% in 1966, a figure, which slowly went up to 4% in 1986, finishing at 5% in 2006.
