Imagine if, tomorrow, every platform only allowed you to upload images, video, and audio in new container formats that have metadata that cannot be erased by the user and is baked into the file in a read-only manner such that the OS itself interferes with any attempt to erase or obfuscate it. Imagine if it snitches your TPM 2.0 ID on your Windows shitbox.
Now think about the past few years of turnkey totalitarianism and coordinated censorship in the West, and then consider how excited the DHS would be, to be able to look at your silly Pepe meme or whatever, pull the metadata out of it, and trace it directly to your machine.
