Nations may have failed our brothers and sisters in Palestine, but we should not fail them with our Dua. Remember, the real benefactor is Allaah. So, beseech Him for the welfare and safety of our brothers and sisters as much as possible.

On the authority of Abdullaah bin Abbaas رضي الله عنهما who said: One day I was (riding) behind the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم (on the same mount) and he صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “O young man, I shall teach you some words [of advice]: Be mindful of Allaah and Allaah will protect you. Be mindful of Allaah and you will find Him in front of you. If you ask, then ask Allaah [alone]; and if you seek help, then seek help from Allaah [alone]. And know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allaah had already prescribed for you. And if they were to gather together to harm you with anything, they would not harm you except with what Allaah had already prescribed against you. The pens have been lifted and the pages have dried.”
📚[Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2516) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

In another narration, other than that of al-Tirmidhee, reads: “Be mindful of Allaah, and you will find Him in front of you. Recognize and acknowledge Allaah in times of ease and prosperity, and He will remember you in times of adversity. And know that what has passed you by [and you have failed to attain] was not going to befall you, and what has befallen you was not going to pass you by. And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and ease after hardship.”
📚[Mustadrak of al-Haakim (6304)]

4 Narrations on the importance of advising the tyrant rulers in private:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

• Four narrations on the importance of advising the rulers privately even if they are tyrants.

• The scholars’ advice the rulers privately as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم instructed us.

• Only because we do not witness it doesn't mean that the scholars do not do it.

• Shouting from the minbar (pulpit) against the rulers is not from the Sunnah. Rather, it is from the methodology of the Khawaarij

• Your hatred towards the rulers should not make you go against the Sunnah.

• Shouting behind their back is Gheebah (backbiting) and does not achieve the purpose (as the message does not reach them), except that it cause chaos and disruption.

• You don’t want to follow the Prophet’s Sunnah, but at the same time you demand that the rulers should be never make mistakes!

Narrated Abu Waail: Somebody said to Usaamah Will you go to so-and-so (i.e. Uthmaan رضي الله عنه) and talk to him (i.e. advise him regarding ruling the country)? He said: ❝Do you think that I have not spoken to him simply because you did not hear it? Really, I speak to (advise) him privately without opening a gate (of affliction), for neither do I want to be the first to open it (i.e. rebellion).❞

📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (3267, 7098) and Saheeh Muslim (7483)]

Abu Sa
eed al-Khudree رضي الله عنه said that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:

أَفْضَلُ الْجِهَادِ كَلِمَةُ عَدْلٍ عِنْدَ سُلْطَانٍ جَائِرٍ، أَوْ أَمِيرٍ جَائِرٍ

❝The best type of Jihad (striving in the way of Allaah) is speaking a true word in the PRESENCE of a tyrant ruler.❞

📚[Sunan Abu Dawood (4344), Sunan Ibn Maajah (4011), Sunan al-Tirmidhee (2174) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

Saeed Ibn Jumhaan said: I went to Abdullaah Ibn Abee Aufaa رضي الله عنه, and he had become blind and I greeted him with Salaam. He asked me: ❝Who are you?❞ I said: I am Saeed Ibn Jumhaan. He asked: ❝What have they done to your father?❞ I said: He was killed. The Azaariqah have killed him. He said: ❝Allaah’s curse be upon al-Azaariqah, Allaah’s curse be upon al-Azaariqah.❞ The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم informed us:

أَنَّهُمْ كِلَابُ النَّارِ

❝They are the dogs of Hellfire.❞ I said: (Are) al-Azaariqah alone (the dogs of the Hellfire) or the whole of the Khawaarij? He said: ❝The whole of the Khawaarij.❞ I (further) said: The ruler oppresses the people and does such-and-such to them. He said: ❝Give me your hand.❞ Then he grabbed my hand firmly and said: ❝Woe unto you O son of Jumhaan! Upon you is to stick to the Sawaad al-A
dham (the main group). If the ruler listens to you, then approach him in his house (i.e. in seclusion) and inform him (in private) of what you know. So if he listens to you (then it is good) otherwise leave him, for you are not more knowledgeable than him.❞

📚[Musnad Ahmad (19415) and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in his checking of Kitaab al-Sunnah (2/523) and Shaikh Muqbil also graded it “Hasan” in Saheeh al-Musnad (542)]

Imaam Ahmad reported: Iyaadh Ibn Ghanm was whipping a person of a land which was conquered. So Hishaam Ibn Hakeem spoke harshly with him, until Iyaadh became angry. So he stayed the night (like this) through the night, then he came to Hishaam Ibn Hakeem and sought an excuse from him. Then Hishaam said to Iyaadh: Have you not heard the Prophet

❝Verily the person who shall suffer the severest punishment is the one who is most severe in punishing the people in this world.❞ So
Iyaadh Ibn Ghanm said: O Hishaam Ibn Hakeem! ❝Indeed we have heard what you have heard, but you have not heard the statement of the Messenger of Allaah

Contemplate:

For a Muslim, the purpose of all his actions should be for attaining the Aakhirah (the Hereafter). This should be the purpose – the worship of Allaah, the pleasure of Allaah, the Jannah (Paradise), the protection from the punishment of the grave and the Jahannam (Hellfire).

For how long do we live in this Dunya?! How many years?! 50 years? 60? 70? 100? How long is that as compared to the life of the Barzakh?! And how long is that as compared to the life of the Hereafter?!

Example: Nooh عليه السلام spent 950 years of his life in calling people towards Allaah. Compare that to how many thousands of years he is living in the life of Barzakh?!

Another example: We are in the year 1440H. Uthmaan Ibn Affaan رضي الله عنه was assassinated near the end of the year 35H. How many years have passed since then? For how many years has he been in the grave? More than 1,400 (one thousand four hundred) years!

1,400 YEARS OF LIFE IN THE BARZAKH!

Till when will he be in the grave?! Another 100 years?! Another 1,000 years?! Only Allaah knows when the Hour will be established.

This life - in the Barzakh (in the grave) - of 1,000 years or 2,000 years, or as much as Allaah Wills! Does it not deserve that we work for it so that we are blessed in it?!

This life of 50, 60 or 70 years which we live, deduct from it the many years that go in childhood! Deduct from it the many years that go in sleeping! Deduct from it the years that go in sickness! Deduct from it the many years that go in old age and senility! How much of it is left?!

Then comes the Hereafter! The Eternal life! The life with no end! The life with no death – either in the Jannah or in the Jahannam! May Allaah make us of the people of Paradise and may He protect us from the punishment of the Hellfire!

So we want to abandon the life of the Hereafter for the life of this world?! We want to gain the life of this fleeting world at the price of the Hereafter?! What’s wrong with us?!

💠 How to seek Allaah’s help:

People gather in a stadium to watch a football match, and they raise the Palestinian flag, thinking that this will aid the cause. But it does not! Victory doesn’t come with entertainment and emotions!

Allaah’s help comes to the Believers through Salaah (Prayers) and Sabr (Patience) and not by marching on the streets, or blocking the paths, or filling the stadiums while the Masaajid are empty.

If showing strength in numbers had worked, it would have definitely helped the Believers in the battle of Hunain, but the strength in numbers did not help them, as Allaah تعالى says:

{Truly Allaah has given you victory on many battlefields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back fleeing. Then Allaah did send down His Sakeenah (calmness, tranquility, and reassurance, etc.) on the Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ), and on the believers, and sent down forces (angels) which you saw not, and punished the disbelievers. Such is the recompense of disbelievers.}
📚[Surah al-Tawbah (9):25-26]

Allaah’s help is not associated with your strength or numbers; Allaah’s help is associated with your Imaan:

وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
{and incumbent upon Us was the support of the Believers}
📚[Surah al-Room (30): 47]

And He تعالى also said:

وَلَا تَهِنُوا وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا وَأَنتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
{So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are indeed [true] believers}
📚[Surah aal-`Imraan (3): 139]

🌴🌴🌴

Allaah تعالى promised that He will help those who will His cause:

وَلَيَنصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَن يَنصُرُهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ
{Verily, Allaah will help those who help His (Cause). Truly, Allaah is All-Strong, All-Mighty.}
📚[Surah al-Hajj (22): 40]

But who are these people whom Allaah will help? What are their characteristics? Allaah تعالى describes them, saying:

الَّذِينَ إِن مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ
{[And they are] those who, if We give them authority in the land, establish prayer and give Zakaah and enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong. And to Allaah belongs the outcome of [all] matters.}
📚[Surah al-Hajj (22): 41]

He تعالى also instructs us, saying:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ
{O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allaah is with the patient.}
📚[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 153]

So, do not let Shaitaan deceive us by mixing our emotions with entertainment. Our victory only comes with our obedience to Allaah, offering the Salaah sincerely, and fulfilling the rights of the people.

👉One of them says to you:
⚡I'm afflicted with anxiety
⚡I'm afflicted by sadness
⚡I'm afflicted by boredom
⚡I'm afflicted by confusion
⚡I'm afflicted with doubts
⚡I'm afflicted with calamities
⚡I'm afflicted by evil whispering

1️⃣ Ask him: "Do you regularly recite the Qur'aan?"
🔥He will say: "No"

2️⃣ Ask him: "Do you regularly do the morning and evening Adhkaar and before sleeping?"
🔥He will say: "No"

Then, this is natural that you will be afflicted by all this, rather with even more.

For Allaah تعالى says:
{Verily in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest!}
📚[Surah al-Ra`d (13):28]

⚡ The Kuffaar become desperate, go into depression, and commit suicide because they have no true God to rely on, nor do they have Salaah and Adhkaar with which to calm their hearts. All the materialistic gains only provide them with a temporary relief. It is not even a relief in real sense, rather a distraction from their troubles, it just diverts their mind temporarily. Like how intoxicated people lose their senses temporarily. But when they come back to their sense the reality hits them back again.

Our victory is in the Worship of Allaah about which we are reminded five times a day, everyday.

🎓Shaikh al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:
❝Observe how Allaah تعالى said: {If We Willed, We could crumble it to dry pieces}, and He تعالى did not say: “If We Willed, We would not have let it grow”, because when it grows and the people see it, their hearts become attached towards it (and the hope grows to eat from its fruit). So, if He تعالى makes it to dry pieces after their hearts are attached to it, it would hurt them more. And that is why He تعالى said: {If We Willed, We could crumble it to dry pieces}, and He تعالى did not say: “If We Willed, We would not have let it grow”.❞ [4]

And Allaah تعالى described this more beautifully and eloquently when He تعالى said:

{Would any of you wish to have a garden with date palms and vines, with rivers flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruits for him therein, while he is stricken with old age, and his children are weak (not able to look after themselves), then it (the garden) is struck with a fiery whirlwind containing a fire so that it is burnt? Thus does Allaah make clear His Aayaat (proofs, evidence, verses) to you that you may give thought} [5]

Meaning: "Does anyone of you wish to have a garden with date palms and vines, with rivers of fresh water flowing underneath its trees, and there are all kinds of fruits for him therein, but he has become old and cannot cultivate his farm any longer, and he has small children and no one to look after them. While he is in this weak state, his garden is struck with a fiery whirlwind containing fire and it burns everything therein. This is the description of the condition of those who are not sincere (in their intentions and) in what they spend. They will come on the Day of Judgment (empty-handed), without any good deeds (nor will they be rewarded). And Allaah mentions the likes of these similitudes for our benefit so that we become sincere (in our intentions)." [6]

It is the sudden loss that has the worst psychological effect. Losing the house due to an earthquake or fire, or the car or the child in an accident. Such sudden, unexpected incidents have the most devastating effects. No one is prepared for that. Rather, nothing can prepare someone for that except the remembrance of Allaah!

🌴🌴🌴

🌟 The Three Important Adhkaar That Provide Comfort To The Hearts:

We need to remember, this life is not ours; the children, the wealth, the luxuries, nothing is ours. Even our stay on this earth is not permanent. We are like travelers and nomads, passing through this earth, and these luxuries have been provided as a temporary means to assist us in this journey. We know we are going to die and lose everything, yet we are not prepared for that eventuality when it affects us.

So, when things get tough, just try to remember these Aayaat and Adhkaar to help you get through this phase in your life:

#1 The saying of Allaah

{Who, when disaster strikes them, say: “Indeed we belong to Allaah, and indeed to Him we will return”} [7]

#2 The statement of the Prophet ﷺ:

إن لله ما أخذ وله ما أعطى وكل شيء عنده بأجل مسمى فلتصبر ولتحتسب

❝Whatever Allaah takes is for Him and whatever He gives, is for Him, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in this world), so be patient and hope for Allaah’s reward❞ [8]

#3 Another statement of the Prophet ﷺ:

اللَّهُمَّ لاَ مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَلاَ مُعْطِيَ لِمَا مَنَعْتَ، وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ
❝O Allaah! No one can withhold what You give, and none can give what You withhold, and the riches of a fortunate person will be of no avail to him against You, for from You comes all wealth and fortune.❞ [9]

When he prayed for the salvation of the weak and oppressed in Makkah, he said: “O Allaah, O Allaah, save al-Waleed ibn al-Waleed, Salamah ibn Hishaam, Ayyaash ibn Abi Rabeeah and the weak and oppressed believers.” When he prayed against some of the Arab tribes because of the severity of their enmity towards Allaah and His Messenger, he ﷺ said: “O Allaah, punish Mudar severely and send upon them a famine like that of Yoosuf.”

When he ﷺ prayed against some of the Arab tribes who had betrayed 70 of the Sahaabah and killed them, he prayed that they be cursed.

🌴🌴🌴

💠From the statement of the scholars:

🎓Shaikh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyah رحمه الله said:
It is prescribed to say Qunoot at times of calamity, praying for the believers and praying against the disbelievers, in Fajr and other prayers. Thus Umar رضي الله عنه said Qunoot when fighting the Christians, in his Duaa’ in which he said: “O Allaah, curse the disbelievers of the people of the Book…” Similarly, Alee رضي الله عنه once fought a people and said Qunoot and prayed against them. The person who is saying Qunoot should say, at the time of each calamity, a supplication that is appropriate to that calamity. If he names the believers for whom he is praying and the disbelievers against whom he is praying, that is good.
📚[Majmoo
al-Fataawa (22/271)]

🎓It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (22/271):
It is proven that the Prophet ﷺ used to say Qunoot at times of calamity, praying against the aggressors among the disbelievers, and praying for the weak and oppressed Muslims to be saved from the plots and captivity of the Kuffaar.

🎓Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:
He should say Qunoot with a supplication that is appropriate to the calamity that has come. Hence the Messenger ﷺ used to say Qunoot with words that were appropriate to the calamity, and he did not say “Allaahumma ihdini fiman hadayta/O Allaah, guide me among those whom You have guided…” as some of the common folk do. It is not narrated in any hadeeth, Saheeh or Dha`eef, that the Messenger ﷺ ever used to say: “Allaahumma ihdini fiman hadayta/O Allaah, guide me among those whom You have guided…”) in obligatory prayers; rather he would offer a supplication that was appropriate to that calamity. On one occasion, he ﷺ prayed for some of the weak and oppressed people, asking Allaah to save them, until they came (to him in Madeenah).
📚[al-Sharh al-Mumti’ (4/45)]

Based on this, the worshipper should choose a supplication that is appropriate to the calamity, and say that.

🌺🌺🌺

So, if one cannot pray even during the times of calamities , then indeed their Imaan is weak, and that prayer has become hard for them to perform. And what calamity is worse than this?!

💠 The Issue Of Palestine: Kingdoms Top Priority
🎙️ Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salmaan

Ilm4all

On one Friday, many years ago (in 2009 or 2010), after having attended the Khutbah of my Shaikh Muhammad al-Maalikee حفظه الله in Jeddah, I along with a friend went to Makkah to attend the class of Shaikh Rabee Ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee حفظه الله. Those days Shaikh Rabee was teaching at his home library and explaining the book: “الباعث الحثيث شرح إختصار علوم الحديث” written by al-Haafidh Ibn Katheer رحمه الله.

From there we came to know that the Hanbalee Shaikh, Abdullaah Ibn Abdul-Azeez al-Aqeel رحمه الله – the former Chairman of the Permanent Commission of the Supreme Judicial Council of Saudi Arabia and one of the last students of the Shaikh, the Mufassir, Abdul Rahmaan Ibn Naaser al-Sadee رحمه الله, and a contemporary of Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله - had come from Riyaadh. We attended his brief class between Maghrib and Ishaa in Masjid al-Haraam.

And from there we learned that Shaikh Abdulaah al-Aqeel رحمه الله was invited by a person to come to his place after Ishaa and he invited all the students too. A lot of students attended that gathering. To our surprise the Muhaddtih, Shaikh Wasee-Ullaah Abbaas حفظه الله was also present there. Even though Shaikh Wasee-Ullaah is a mountain of Knowledge in his own rights, yet he showed his humility in the presence of Shaikh al-Aqeel - who was older to him in age - and refused to present a talk in his presence. Then like a student, Shaikh Wasee-Ullaah was reading from a book and Shaikh al-Aqeel was giving an explanation. Hajj was around the corner, so they were reading and explaining Ahaadeeth related to Hajj and its Masaail. The host, may Allaah reward him with abundance, was very generous and had ordered dinner for all those who were present there at his place.

On another occasion, a similar incident took place between Shaikh, the Muhaddith, Muhammad
Alee Aadam al-Ethiopee رحمه الله and the Shaikh, the Muhaddith, Wasee-Ullaah `Abbaas حفظه الله. Shaikh Wasee-Ullaah was reading from a book and Shaikh al-Ethiopee was explaining the Ahaadeeth. The respect these two scholars showed to each other was amazing. They were contemporaries in knowledge and friends in life, having fun, laughing, and smiling at each other.

Those were the days - that apart from seeking knowledge - we also learned good manners from our scholars. They showed us that beneficial knowledge only increases one in humility!

As Allaah تعالى mentioned:

{Only those fear Allaah, from among His servants, who have knowledge}
[Surah Faatir (35): 28]

For some, tragedy doesn't change them, it reveals their true nature:

{And among mankind is he who worships Allaah on an edge (i.e. in doubt); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face (i.e. reverts back to disbelief after embracing Islaam). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.}

Anas Ibn Maalik رضي الله عنه narrated: We went with Allaah's Messenger ﷺ to the blacksmith Aboo Saif, and he was the husband of the wet-nurse of Ibraaheem (the son of the Prophet). Allaah's Messenger ﷺ took Ibraaheem and kissed him and smelled him and later we entered Aboo Saif's house and at that time Ibraaheem was in his last breaths, and the eyes of Allaah's Messenger ﷺ started shedding tears. Abdur Rahmaan Ibn Auf said: “O Allaah's Messenger, even you are weeping?!” He ﷺ said: ❝O Ibn Auf, this is mercy.❞ Then he wept more and said: ❝The eyes are shedding tears and the heart is grieved, and we will not say except what pleases our Lord. O Ibraaheem! Indeed we are grieved by your separation.❞
📚 [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (1303) and Saheeh Muslim]

🌴🌴🌴

Asmaa’ bint Yazeed رضي الله عنها said: When Ibraaheem, the son of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ, died, the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ wept. The one who was consoling him, either Abu Bakr or
Umar, said to him: “You are indeed the best of those who glorify Allaah with what is due to him.” The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ❝The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we do not say anything that angers the Lord. Were it not that death is something that inevitably comes to all, and that the latter (the living) will surely join the former (the dead), then we would have been more sad for you, O Ibraaheem, than we are now, verily we grieve for you.❞

💠Shaikh Muhammad al-Malki حفظه الله said:
❝By Allaah! Losing the whole world cannot be compared (even remotely) to losing a moment with Allaah. Because if a person loses even a moment with Allaah (due to a sin), there is no guarantee that perhaps a swift punishment from Allaah may descend and afflict him.

This is why Allaah تعالى said:
وَيَمُدُّهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
{and gives them increase in their deviation to wander blindly} (2:15)

It could be this instance in time (in which you sinned) because of which Allaah تعالى abandoned you (to wander blindly) and increased you in deviation, and there could be no turning back.❞

💠 Part of perfection in acts of Ibaadah is to remain firm and constant during hardship and ease.

💠 Fewer acts done with consistency are better than doing many acts and then abandoning them for days and weeks.

💠 If a person wants his prayers to be answered during calamities, then he should beseech Allaah much during times of ease.

💠 Being grateful to Allaah for His favors is the essence of
Ibaadah, otherwise, many nations have perished because of their ingratitude towards Allaah.

💠 Being ungrateful for Allaah's favors is the first step towards Kufr.

💠 Sweetness of Ibaadah is felt when a person worships Allaah during the times of ease and is grateful to Allaah for His bounties, else, during a calamity even the Mushriks used to turn to Allaah alone for help - out of desperation.

💠 When Allaah removes a calamity, people become ungrateful, as if no calamity had ever touched them.

💠 If a person finds it difficult to worship Allaah during a calamity, then that is because he did not train himself when he was healthy, wealthy, and wise.

💠 Calamities are like diseases, and
Ibaadah is like a cure. So, anyone who doesn't worship Allaah during a calamity is like a person who refuses to take medicine during his illness.

💠 When a calamity befalls a Believer, it acts as a wake up call and as a reminder to him to turn to Allaah in repentance and obedience. So, calamities are indeed a mercy for the Believers which expiate their sins.

💠 Calamity is not only when Allaah takes away His favors, rather, the worse calamity is when Allaah bestows His favors while the people are still being ungrateful, because that is a sign that their destruction is near.

{And if We give man a taste of mercy from Us and then We withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful.

But if We give him a taste of favor after hardship has touched him, he will surely say: "Bad times have left me." Indeed, he is exultant and boastful -

Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds; those will have forgiveness and great reward.}

The Prophet ﷺ got up, and so did Sad Ibn Ubaadah, Muaadh Ibn Jabal, Ubai Ibn Kab, Zaid Ibn Thaabit, and some other men. The child was brought to Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ while his breath was disturbed in his chest as if it was a leather water-skin. On that, the eyes of the Prophet ﷺ started shedding tears. 💠 Never Take Things For Granted!

🌟 QUOTE:
❝They say: “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone.”
But the truth is: “You knew exactly what you had. You just didn’t think you’d lose it…”❞

🌴🌴🌴

🌟 The Pain Of Moving On After Getting Used To A Comfortable Life/Place/Situation:

The comforts in life come in different shapes and sizes. People love having luxurious homes, comfortable cars, lots of wealth, beautiful wives and children, big farms, etc. As Allaah تعالى mentioned:

{Beautified for men is the love of things they covet; women, children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle, and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life; but Allaah has the excellent return (Paradise with flowing rivers, etc.) with Him.} [1]

But the thing is that not only did our hearts get attached to the comforts of this life, rather, we also got comfortable with sins. And every sin, if not repented, comes with a price, and now we are paying the price... loss of lives, health, jobs, and wealth, the ever-increasing expenses, the insecurity about what the future holds, the uncertainty of the next move, and the indecisiveness about the next step.

In this life, the trials are of many types. Sometimes, Allaah تعالى tests someone by giving it to them, at other times He تعالى tests them by withholding it from them, and for some others, He تعالى tests them by taking it away from them.

There is the pain of not having something, and then there is the pain of losing something. One of the hardest tests are those that come after the hearts are attached to someone or something. There are some situations mentioned in the Qur’aan that one cannot truly understand or feel the full effect until they are put into a similar situation.

The story of Ibraaheem عليه السلام having the Imaan to sacrifice Ismaa`eel عليه السلام will have more of an effect on a person after he has a child than before he had a child.

Similarly, the anxiety of the mother of Moosaa عليه السلام for the safety of her son can be felt more after having our own child facing some imminent danger.

A lot of people realize the sacrifices that their parents made for them only after reaching the age of forty (40) years and after having children of their own. As Allaah تعالى said:

{And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother carries him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty months, till when he attains full strength and reaches (the age of) forty years, he says: “My Lord! Grant me the power and ability that I may be grateful for Your Favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and that I may do righteous good deeds, such as please You, and make my off-spring righteous and good. Truly, I have turned to You in repentance, and truly, I am one of the Muslims (submitting to Your Will).”} [2]

🌟 The More The Love, The Greater The Test:

Concerning the saying of Allaah

{Then tell Me about the seed that you sow in the ground. Is it you that makes it grow, or are We the Grower? If We Willed, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment)} [3]

🤲 What to do when a calamity befalls a Muslim?

💠 From the Qur’aan:

1️⃣

{And seek (Allaah’s) help through patience and al-Salaah (the prayer) and truly it is extremely heavy and hard except for al-Khaashioon [i.e. the true believers in Allaah - those who obey Allaah with full submission, fear much from His Punishment, and believe in His Promise (Paradise, etc.) and in His Warnings (Hell, etc.)]. (They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return.}
📚[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 45-46]

2️⃣

{O you who Believe! Seek help in patience and al-Salaah (the prayer). Truly! Allaah is with al-Saabireen (the patient ones, etc.)}
📚[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 153]

3️⃣

{You shall certainly be tried and tested in your wealth and properties and in your personal selves, and you shall certainly hear much that will grieve you from those who received the Scripture before you (Jews and Christians) and from those Mushrikeen (who ascribe partners to Allaah), but if you persevere patiently, and become al-Muttaqoon (the pious) then verily, that will be a determining factor in all affairs, and that is from the great matters, [which you must hold on with all your efforts].}
📚[Surah aal-
Imraan (3): 186]

🌴🌴🌴

💠Hadeeth:

1️⃣
Whenever Allaah's Messenger ﷺ intended to invoke evil upon somebody or invoke good upon somebody, he used to invoke (Allaah) after rising up from bowing (in the prayer); i.e. after saying: “Sami Allaahu liman hamidah, Rabbanaa lakal-hamd (Allaah hears him who sends his praises to Him, all praise is for You, O our Lord!” He ﷺ would say: “O Allaah! Save al-Waleed bin al-Waleed and Salamah bin Hishaam, and Ayyaash bin Abu Rabeeah. O Allah! Send Your punishment on Mudar (tribe) and strike them with years of (drought) like the years (of drought) of (Prophet) Yusuf.” The Prophet ﷺ used to say in a loud voice, and he also used to say in some of his Fajr prayers: “O Allaah! Curse so-and-so and so-and-so.” naming some of the Arab tribes.
📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

2️⃣
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه said: For one month, the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ recited Qunoot in prayer, after (rising from) Rukoo and after saying: “Allaah listened to him who praised Him,” and he ﷺ said in Qunoot: “O Allaah! Rescue al-Waleed Ibn al-Waleed; O Allaah! rescue Salamah Ibn Hishaam; O Allaah! Rescue Ayyaash Ibn Abu Rabeeah; O Allaah! rescue the helpless amongst the Muslims; O Allaah! trample Mudar severely; O Allaah! cause them a famine like that (which was caused at the time) of (Prophet) Yusuf.”
📚[Saheeh Muslim]

3️⃣
Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ said al-Qunoot for one month after the posture of Bowing, invoking evil upon some
Arab tribes.
📚[Saheehain]

4️⃣
The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ recited the supplication (Qunoot) daily for a month in Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha and Fajr prayers. When he ﷺ said: “Allaah listens to him who praises Him” in the last Rakah, invoking a curse on some clans of Banoo Sulaym, Ri`l, Dhakwaan and Usayyah; and those who were standing behind him said: Aameen.
📚[Sunan Abu Dawood (1443), and graded as “Hasan” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

💠Conclusion:
The Prophet ﷺ offered supplication at times of calamity on a number of occasions, and his supplication was appropriate to the calamity for which he was praying Qunoot.

🔥How our false desires keep us away from enjoying the true pleasures:

🎓Ibn al-Qayyim {rahimahullaah} said:

When a person says (in the Salaah):
{الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ}
He should pause for a moment and wait for the response from his Lord to him, when He تعالى says:
❝My servant has praised Me.❞*

🌴🌴🌴

And when he says:
{الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ}
He should wait for His response, when He تعالى says:
❝My servant has lauded Me.❞*

🌴🌴🌴

And when he says:
{مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ}
Then he should wait for the response:
❝My servant has Glorified Me.❞*

🌴🌴🌴

What a source of delight for the heart, comfort for the eyes and joy for the soul because of the saying of his Lord to him: ❝My servant❞ three times.

By Allaah! Had it not been that the hearts were covered by the smoke of lusts and the fog of desires, the hearts would have been overjoyed and well pleased because of the saying of their Lord and Originator to them:
❝My servant has praised Me; My servant has lauded Me; My servant has Glorified Me.❞

💢💢💢

[The Salaah and the rulings pertaining to those who abandon it (1/142)]

* This is in reference to the Hadeeth of Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه as reported in Saheeh Muslim (775) and the 4 books of Sunan.

Between Hot and Cold:

🌟USING COLD WATER FOR DRINKING AND AS CURE🌟

As a cure to Ayyoob’s عليه السلام sickness, Allaah تعالى said to him:

❝{“Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink.”}❞
📚 [Surah al-Saad (38): 41]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
❝Fever is from the (intense) heat of the Hell-Fire, so cool it with water.❞

💥 [As Ibn al-Qayyim said, this is particularly for the fever which is caused due to sunstroke]

🌴🌴🌴

🌟PREFERABLE NOT TO EAT WHILE THE FOOD IS INTENSELY HOT🌟

It has been authentically reported from Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that he said: ❝One should not eat the food until its steam goes away.❞
📚 [Sunan al-Baihaqee and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (1/748)]

💢💢💢

Whenever Asmaa’ bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنها prepared food, she used to cover it with something till its boil went away (and it had cooled down a bit), and she used to say: I heard the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم saying: ❝It is for greater blessing.❞
📚 [Saheeh Ibn Hibaan and Mustadrak of al-Haakim and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee in al-Saheehah (392, 659)]

💥[One can eat hot food after the steam has stopped coming out]

🌴🌴🌴

🌟PREFERABLE TO DELAY THE DHUHR SALAAH WHEN IT IS INTENSELY HOT🌟

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
❝Refrain from praying (Dhuhr - the noon prayer) till the extreme heat passes away, for the Intensity of heat is from the exhalation of Hell.❞
