Often, we, as human beings, are able to see other’s faults clearly, but not our own. As if there’s a blindspot when it comes to perceiving our own shortcomings. How do we remedy that? The solution is to earnestly supplicate to Allaah to remedy our obliviousness about our shortcomings.
Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله touched on this topic in his Tafseer of Surah Al-An'am. He commented, saying:
aam (6):26]
❝They do not feel that they are going astray - we ask Allaah to safeguard us from it- and this is the ultimate trial; That a person sees himself to be on the truth even though he is on falsehood, and from the supplications of the Prophet ﷺ is:
“O Allaah, show us the truth as truth and grant us the ability to follow it, and show us the falsehood as falsehood and grant us the ability to avoid it, and do not let it confuse us, lest we go astray.”❞
📚[ Tafseer Surah al-An

📑 NOTE: The above supplication is not from supplications of the Prophet ﷺ. Rather, it is a Duaa said by one of the Salaf (predecessors), as Ibn Shaaheen had mentioned: “From the supplications of those who preceded us is: "O Allaah, show us the truth..."”
aa in his Tafseer, without attributing it to the Prophet ﷺ, and this is from where it got famous.
📚[Sharh Madhaahib Ahl al-Sunnah]
Ibn Katheer also mentioned this Du
We know well the reason for the punishment, we know the reason for these hardships, we know the reason for the sorrow and grief. So, stop blaming others and blame your own sins for your miseries.
We commit sins which create havoc in out lives! Example, there might be in our midst someone who has cut off the ties of kinship with his sister, or brother, or parents, or cousin, or uncle, or aunt, or a woman who breaks the ties between her children and their father (her ex). Even if it is just one tie of kinship which you sever unjustly, Allaah will cut you off from His Mercy.
{And those who break the Covenant of Allaah, after its ratification, and sever that which Allaah has commanded to be joined (i.e., they sever the bond of kinship and are not good to their relatives), and work mischief in the land, on them is the curse (i.e., they will be far away from Allaah's Mercy); And for them is the unhappy (evil) home (i.e., Hell).}
📚 [Surah al-Rad (13): 25]
(5705)]
{Would you then, if you were given the authority, do mischief in the land, and sever your ties of kinship? Such are they whom Allaah has cursed, so that He has made them deaf and blinded their sight.}
📚 [Surah Muhammad (47): 22-23]
Abu Bakrah رضي الله عنه reported the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ as saying: ❝There is no wrong action which Allaah is swifter to punish in this world – in addition to the punishment which He has stored up for the wrongdoer in the Hereafter – than oppression and cutting off ties of kinship. [The swiftest of good deeds in retribution is the (act of) fulfilling the ties of kinship. So much so, that it is possible that a family can be evil, but their wealth and their numbers will increase if they fulfill the ties of kinship.]❞
📚 [Saheeh Ibn Hibbaan (440). Part of the Hadeeth is narrated by Abu Dawood in his Sunan (4902), Ibn Majah (4211), al-Tirmidhee (2511), Adab Al Mufrad of Imaam al-Bukharee, and al-Tabaraanee and authenticated by Shaikh Al-Albaanee in as-Saheehah (918). The second part was also authenticated by Shaikh al-Albaanee in Saheeh al-Jaami
The one who cuts off the ties of kinship is cursed, is removed from the Mercy of Allaah, and part of this punishment is that the tranquility is removed from the heart. The one who is under the curse of Allaah, how can he live a good life? Rather, his will be covered by grief, his sorrow and distress will only multiply, and his heart will only harden, and he will not find any peace or tranquility.
Our sins have put a barrier between us and Allaah, then how do we expect to find solace during hardships and losses?!
Shun the sins, turn to Allaah in obedience and repentance, supplicate to him using the Duaa taught by the Prophet ﷺ to be said during hardship and anxiety, and patiently wait for the relief from Allaah.
The relief and help from Allaah is not far from us, but we have blocked its path with our sins!
⚡️O you who has abandoned the prayers...
⚡️O you who do not pray...
⚡️O you who is negligent when it comes to prayers...
...the thing that has befallen you is worse than what had befallen Iblees.
Iblees refused to prostrate to Aadam, but as for you, you have refused to prostrate to the Lord of Aadam.
{O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous?}
📚[Surah al-Infitaar (82):6]
What is wrong with you that you do not long to meet your Lord?
What is wrong with you that you do not want to face your Lord in al-Salaah?
What is wrong with you that you have been prevented from offering al-Salaah?
And one of the supplication of Ibraaheem عليه السلام was:
رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ
{O my Lord! Make me one who performs al-Salaah, and (also) from my offspring, our Lord! And accept my invocation.}
📚[Surah Ibraaheem (14): 40]
Moosaa al-Hajjaawee said:
❝The parable of Imaan is like that of a city which has five fortresses. The first (and innermost) of them is made of gold, the second of silver, the third of iron, the fourth of baked bricks, and the fifth (and the outermost) of mud (and unbaked bricks).
So as long as the people of the city defend the mud fortress, the enemy would not be able to reach the next fortress. But if they fail to defend it, the enemy will penetrate (and reach) the next, and then the next, until all the fortresses are destroyed.
Similarly, Imaan is like these five fortresses. The first is Yaqeen (certainty), the second is Ikhlaas (sincerity), the third is fulfilling the Faraaidh (obligations), the fourth is the Sunan (recommended acts), and the fifth is Adaab (etiquette).
As long as a person safeguards his etiquette, Shaitaan will not be able to penetrate it. But if he abandons his etiquette, Shaitaan will reach his Sunan, then his obligations, then his Ikhlaas, until he reaches his Yaqeen.❞

👉 Be diligent in your morning and evening Adhkaar (Remembrance of Allaah), no matter how busy you are, for you don't know what good things will come your way and what bad things will be averted from you because of your Adhkaar, by Allaah’s permission.
👉 Be diligent in your morning and evening Adhkaar, for that is the sign that you have entrusted your affairs to Allaah, and this is Tawakkal. Without Dhikr, your reliance upon Allaah will be weak.
👉 Be diligent in your morning and evening Adhkaar, for they calm your heart, reduce the stress, they are a source of (physical, mental, and emotional) strength, they boost your Imaan, reduce your sorrow (for the things that happened in the past), and reduce your anxiety (about your future).
👉 Be diligent in your morning and evening Adhkaar, for it is seeking Allaah’s protection. It is a fortification against Shaitaan and his plots and whispers.
👉 Be diligent in your morning and evening Adhkaar, and the Adhkaar after the obligatory Salaah, for they are the multipliers of your good deeds, heavy on the Scales, removal of sins.
⚡️Part of the evening* Dhikr that the Prophet’s ﷺ taught his Companions was:
رب أسألك خير ما في هذه الليلة، وخير ما بعدها، وأعوذ بك من شر ما في هذه الليلة وشر ما بعدها
❝O my Lord! I ask You for the good that is in this night, and the good of what is after it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night, and the evil of what is after it.❞
📚 [Saheeh Muslim]
*[and if it is day, then the wording is changed to: ❝I ask you for the good that is in this day...❞]
🔥 (In video games, there are cheat codes to overcome a hurdle or to boost the health of the character. If there is such thing in Islaam, then it is the Adhkaar. They are pleasing to al-Rahmaan, easy on the tongue, heavy on the Scales, and an increase to the ranks in Jannah. A person can do it while laying down, sitting, or on his way to work, etc. This is why we see many narrations in which the Companions came to the Prophet ﷺ on different occasions, asking him to teach them words of Dhikr).
💠Narration #16
Imaam al-Bukhaaree رحمه الله said in his Saheeh: “Whoever gives in charity and he himself or his family are in need or in debt, the payment of debts has precedence over giving in charity or setting a slave free, or giving presents to others, for in such case his act of charity will not be accepted, and that person has no right to waste the people’s property. And the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝Allaah will destroy the person who takes other’s wealth with the intention of wasting it.❞ But if one is known for his patience and prefers others to himself while he himself is in need, as Abu Bakr did when he gave all his property in charity, it is permissible. Similarly, the Ansaar gave preference to the emigrants over themselves. And the Prophet had forbidden the wasting of wealth, so, a person has no right to waste other’s wealth by spending it in charity.”
📚[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (2/112), Kitaab al-Zakaah (24), Chapter (18)]
In Surah al-Nisaa’, in just two Ayaat, Allaah تعالى reminds four times that the inheritance is to be distributed only after the debt has been settled:
مِن بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِي بِهَا أَوْ دَيْنٍ
{(The distribution in all cases is) after the payment of legacies he may have bequeathed or (repaying of) debts}

The Highest Matter Of All Affairs:
It might not make a difference in your life if you know your president or king, but it will definitely make a difference in your life if you are known to the president or the king.
Similarly, our claim to love Allaah will not bring for us any good unless we support it with our actions, as Allaah تعالى said:
﴿قُلْ إِن كُنتُمْ تُحِبُّونَ اللَّهَ فَاتَّبِعُونِي يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ﴾
{Say (O Muhammad ﷺ to mankind): “If you (really) love Allaah, then follow me, Allaah will love you…} [Surah aal-`Imraan (3): 31]
The highest matter is not that you remember Allaah or you love Allaah. Rather, our honor is when Allaah mentions us with goodness and expresses His love for us in the presence of the Angels:
﴿فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُوا لِي وَلَا تَكْفُرُونِ﴾
{Therefore, remember Me, I will remember you. And be grateful to Me, and do not be ungrateful}
[Surah al-Baqarah (2): 152]
The Prophet ﷺ related these words from his Lord: ❝{Whoever mentions Me within himself, I shall mention him within Myself; whoever mentions Me in a gathering, I shall mention him in a better gathering}❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (7405) and Saheeh Muslim (2675)]
The Prophet ﷺ said: ❝When Allaah loves a slave, calls out Jibreel and says: {I love so-and-so; so love him}. Then Jibreel loves him. After that he (Jibreel) announces to the inhabitants of heavens that Allaah loves so- and-so; so love him; and the inhabitants of the heavens (the angels) also love him and then make people on earth love him❞.
[Saheehain]
So, with our actions, we should aim to seek Allaah’s pleasure and His love, for Allaah تعالى said:
﴿يُحْبِبْكُمُ اللَّهُ﴾
{Allaah will love you}
This is what should be the final goal of all our actions.

💠The Very Many Benefits Of Remembrance Of Allaah:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
(From al-Waabil al-Sayyib)
In doing the Adhkaar (remembrance of Allaah), there are more than hundred benefits:
[Continued from previous post]
16. It fills the heart with life. I heard the Shaykh al-Islaam, Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله, say: ❝Remembrance is to the heart what water is to the fish. And what is the state of a fish that leaves the water?❞
17. The remembrance of Allaah nourishes the heart and the soul. If the servant is deprived of it, it is as if his body were deprived of food.
Once when I was with the Shaykh al-Islaam, Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله, he performed the Fajr (pre-dawn) prayer and then sat down to remember Allaah تعالى until sunrise. Then he turned to me and said: ❝This is my morning meal. If I do not take my morning meal, I lose my strength❞, or he said words to that effect.
Another time he said to me: ❝I never forsake Allaah’s remembrance except with the intention of giving myself respite to be ready to resume another (round) of Allaah’s remembrance❞, or he said words to that effect.
18. The remembrance of Allaah polishes away the heart’s tarnish. Everything gets tarnished. As for the heart, the tarnish is heedlessness and (chasing) desires, while its polish is the remembrance of Allaah, turning to Allaah in repentance, and seeking Allaah’s forgiveness.
19. The remembrance of Allaah protects one from committing sins, and it effaces them, and it is one of the greatest forms of good deed, (as Allaah تعالى said):
﴿إِنَّ الْحَسَنَاتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّئَاتِ﴾
{Verily, the good deeds remove the evil deeds} 1
20. It removes estrangement (al-Wahshah) between the servant and his Lord, for between a heedless man and Allaah there is an estrangement which can only be removed through Allaah’s remembrance.
21. As the servant mentions his Lord by extolling His majesty, glorifying and praising Him, so shall the Lord remember him in his times of adversity.
Imaam Ahmad (Ibn Hanbal} related in his Musnad that the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝What you mention of the Majesty of your Lord, (by saying): al-Tahleel (لا إله إلا الله “There is no one worthy of being worshiped except Allaah”), al-Takbeer (الله أكبر “Allaah is the Greatest”), and al-Tahmeed (الحمد لله “Praise be to Allaah”), revolves around the Throne, buzzing like bees, reminding of the one who said it. Wouldn't any one of you like to have, or continue to have, something that reminds of him (in the presence of Allaah)?❞ 2
22. When the servant seeks to know his Lord through remembrance in times of ease, the Lord will know him in times of hardship. 3 There is a narration with the meaning that states that when an obedient servant - who (regularly) remembers his Lord - is afflicted by some adversity or asks Allaah تعالى for something, the Angels exclaim: “O Lord! A familiar voice from a familiar servant!” But if it is a servant who neither heeds nor obeys his Lord, the Angels say: ‘”An unknown voice from an unknown servant.” 4
23. Remembrance of Allaah delivers one from the punishment of Allaah. As Muaadh (Ibn Jabal) رضي الله عنه is reported to have said: ❝The son of Aadam does nothing better to rescue himself from Allaah’s punishment than doing the remembrance of Allaah.❞ 5

• It is a sign of Imaan (Faith) that a person fights against Bidaat and that which corrupts the Deen.
Abdullaah Ibn Mas
• Do not be baffled by the large number of people doing innovations in the Deen.
👉It is narrated on the authority ood that the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم said:
Uthaymeen رحنه الله commented:
۞ 1) ❝There was never a Prophet sent before me by Allaah to his people but he had, among his people, (his) disciples and companions, who followed his ways and obeyed his command.
۞ 2) Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practice, and practiced whatever they were not commanded to do.

Some of the benefits from this Hadeeth are as follows:
۞ 1) Every Prophet which was sent to his people, before the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم, had from his people who were his disciples and companions, who would follow the Sunnah of that Prophet and implement his command.
۞ 2) And every time the era of Prophethood (the Prophet and his disciples) passed away, Bidah (religious innovations) emerged, and sins increased, as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: ❝Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practice, and practiced whatever they were not commanded to do.❞
aat and corruption with his hands or his tongue or his heart.
۞ 3) It is a sign of faith that a person strives against these Bid
۞ 4) And from this Hadeeth we also learn that Imaan increases and decreases, till it reaches the size of a mustard seed. A mustard seed is really small and it is used as an example to describe the smallness of a thing.

⚡ It is astonishing to see that those who recite in their prayers: ❝He (Allaah) begets not, nor is He begotten❞, yet they are seen wishing and celebrating with those who ascribe a son to Allaah!
🚫 Do not listen to those who make excuses and say that wishing is not like celebrating.
🚫 Christmas is not a part of Christianity, there is nothing in their books to support the claim. The Christians are only imitating the pagans in their rituals. As Allaah تعالى said:
{And the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say: Messiah is the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths. They imitate the saying of the disbelievers of old. Allah's Curse be on them, how they are deluded away from the truth!}
📚[Surah al-Tawbah (9): 30]
We should concentrate more on humbling ourselves.
We all have this thought that we will take revenge from so-and-so on the Day of Resurrection for the wrong they have done to us.
But rarely do we bring to mind that there are many others who are waiting to exact revenge from us on that Day.
It could be that the people you have oppressed are more than the people who have oppressed you. Allaah knows and you know not.
That is the Day when even the Prophets and Messengers will be questioned.
That is the Day when even the Truthful will be questioned about their truth (Surah al-Ahzaab), so what will be the state of the liars and the rejectors of truth.
That is the Day when no person will move except that he will be made to stand in the presence of his Rabb and will be questioned.
That is the Day when no wealth will be available. There will be only exchanging of deeds. The oppressors will receive the sins of those whom they oppressed, or their good deeds will be given to the ones they oppressed.
Everyone has high opinion about themselves, and that can lead to disaster.
So, humble yourselves, for that is a Great Day, and no one will feel safe except those whom Allaah has given protection and those who are under the Shade of the Throne.
O you who has been overtaken by grief and sorrow!
Contemplate, how many sins have we committed because of which sorrow and grief have been multiplied in our lives?!
Because of one sin – that he ate from the forbidden tree - Aadam عليه السلام was expelled from the Jannah. And yet see how many sins we commit in our daily lives which keep us out of the Jannah of this world?! There is Jannah in this world!
From the Jannah of this world is:
1) when Allaah is pleased with us,
2) doing deeds to seek nearness to Him,
3) engaging in His remembrance,
4) offering the obligatory Salaah (prayers) are all part of the Jannah of this world.
Whoever refuses to enter the Jannah of this world, is like the one who is refusing to enter the Jannah in the Hereafter.
As Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said: ❝There is no (true) comfort for man, or enjoyment, or pleasure (or satisfaction), or perfection except through knowing Allaah تعالى and loving Him (as such), and when feeling calm and tranquil while making His Dhikr (remembrance), and when finding joy and pleasure in trying to get nearer to Him (through obedience and worship) and yearning to meet Him. This is the Jannah (Paradise) of this worldly life, like how there is no comfort for him in the Hereafter nor success except by being in His (Allaah's) company, in the House of Delight, in the Jannah of the next life. For a man there are two Jannah, he will not be able to enter the second one if he does not enter the first one. I heard Shaikh al-Isaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله saying: ❝There is a Jannah in this world, whoever does not enter it will not be able to enter the Jannah of the Hereafter.❞❞
📚 [Madaarij al-Saalikeen (1/452)]
Do you not see that a person may have lost his whole family in a car accident, yet he is patient and calm, and pleased with the Decree of Allaah, whereas, if just the car of anyone of us were to break down, we would lose our mind; or if any harm were to befall us, we would be on the verge of losing our Deen, and we quickly start thinking bad about Allaah – that Allaah only intends bad for us and not good. As Allaah تعالى mentioned:
{And among mankind is he who worships Allaah as it were, upon the very edge (i.e., in doubt); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face (i.e., reverts back to disbelief after embracing Islaam). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.}
📚 [Surah al-Hajj (22): 11]
Why is it that this person was tried severely and yet is patient and pleased, whereas we might not even face a fraction of what he has suffered, and we are already falling apart? It is because of the sins that the hardships increase, and griefs become more severe.
It was one act of disobedience which got Aadam عليه السلام expelled from the Jannah.
It was one act of disobedience which made Yunus عليه السلام to be thrown in the sea, and to be swallowed by a whale (or a big fish), and to be covered with three layers of darkness - the darkness of the night, the darkness of the sea, and the darkness in the belly of the whale.
It was one act of disobedience on the day of Uhud and the victory was changed into defeat.
It was one act of disobedience and Banee Israaeel were made to wander aimlessly for forty years through the land.
So, do not belittle the sins. Sins are a burden which weigh us down in the battle against hardship and grief. Our shield against all the hardships and sorrows is in the obedience of Allaah and His worship.
So, O you who is overwhelmed by grief and sorrow! Search your book of deeds! Is your book of good deeds heavier than your book of evil deeds? I do not know about your sins, and you do not know about my sins, but each one is aware of his own sins that he has done - secretly and openly.
1️⃣ We are supposed to complain about our problems to Allaah, but instead, a lot of us end up complaining about Allaah.
What this leads one to is lose hope in Allaah’s promise, abandoning Du`aa, weak Imaan, lack of Trust, and in some cases, apostasy.
2️⃣ We are in no position to impose conditions on Allaah. We should not say/think: "O Allaah! If You do such-and-such for me, I will do such-and-such for You." Rather, it is Allaah who imposes conditions on us. If you do good, you will be rewarded with good, and if you do evil, then you will reap evil.
The proper method is to do good and ask Allaah through the Waseelah of our good deeds. Like how the three - who got stuck - in the cave did.
{And among mankind is he who worships Allaah as it were, upon the very edge (i.e. in doubt); if good befalls him, he is content therewith; but if a trial befalls him, he turns back on his face (i.e. reverts back to disbelief after embracing Islaam). He loses both this world and the Hereafter. That is the evident loss.}

{Allaah being Well-Pleased with them, and they with Him}
📚[Surah al-Bayyinah (98): 8]
So, I learned that the first one who is pleased is Allaah (and then He makes you pleased with Him).

💠Importance Of Repaying Debts (A Compilation Of 20 Narrations)
⚡️Summary:
1️⃣ Books of Hadeeth like Sunan Abu Dawood, Sunan al-Nasaa’ee, Sunan Ibn Maajah, and Sunan al-Daarimee dedicated a special chapter heading: “Stern Warning Concerning Debt”
2️⃣ Anyone who died while he had a debt to repay, will be detained from entering Paradise.
3️⃣ The Prophet ﷺ refused to offer funeral prayer for the one who died without repaying debt or not leaving behind anything with which to repay the debt. The only other time the Prophet ﷺ and his Ummah have been prohibited to pray is for the Kuffaar. This is another clear indication of the importance of Huqooq al-`Ibaad (rights of the creation), and the severity of not repaying debts.
4️⃣ On the Day of Judgment, there will be no Deenar or Dirham to repay debt with. The matter will be decided through the exchanging of good deeds and bad deeds.
5️⃣ The Person, who is in debt, should pay off his debts before he can give money in charity.
6️⃣ The inheritance is not to be distributed to the heirs till the debt is paid off first. Just in two Ayaat, Allaah تعالى reminded four times about this in His Book.

💠 Where Should The Worshiper Look At When Praying:
🎓Shaikh Ibn al-Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:
). And when doing the Sujood (prostration), it is known that his eyes should stare at the ground. And when reciting the Tashahhud and the sitting between the two Sujood, he should look at his pointing (index) finger, i.e., at his (index) finger when he is pointing with it.”
“Most of the scholars are of the opinion that the worshiper should look at the place of his Sujood (prostration) when standing (Qiyaam) and bowing (Rukoo
📚[Fatawa Noorun alaa al-Darb (8/2)]
, the worshiper should also look at the place of his Sujood. When he is reciting the Tashahhud, he should look at the finger with which he is pointing. When he is doing Sujood, he should look at the place where the eyes meet the ground.”

[5] The complete narration is as follows: Abu al-Darda رضي الله عنه narrated that the Prophet ﷺ said: ❝Should I not inform you of the best of your deed, and the purest of them with your Master (In another narration it is: ❝the most pleasing to your Master (Allaah)❞) and the highest of them in your ranks, and what is better for you than spending gold and silver, and better for you than meeting your enemy and striking their necks, and they strike your necks?❞ They said: “Of course.” He ﷺ said: ❝The remembrance of Allaah تعالى.❞ [Then] Mu`aadh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه said: ❝There is nothing that brings one more salvation from the punishment of Allaah than the remembrance of Allaah.❞ [Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3377) and Sunan Ibn Maajah (3790) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

💠The Very Many Benefits Of Remembrance Of Allaah:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
(From al-Waabil al-Sayyib)
In doing the Adhkaar (remembrance of Allaah), there are more than hundred benefits:
1. Remembrance drives away, suppresses, and breaks the Devil.
2. It pleases (Allaah) the Most Merciful, the Almighty, the Sublime.
3. It removes the worries and sadness from the heart.
4. It brings happiness, joy and relief to the heart.
5. It strengthens both heart and body.
6. It illuminates the face and the heart.
7. It brings provision (al-Rizq).
8. It adorns the one who practices it with dignity, sweetness, and radiance.
9. It endows him with love (al-Mahabbah) (of Allaah) which is the very spirit of Islaam, the pivotal point of religion, and the axis of (eternal) happiness and deliverance. For Allaah has opened a way of access to everything, and the way to access the love (of Allaah) is through constancy in Dhikr (remembrance of Allaah). So let anyone who wishes to find the love of Allaah, the Almighty, be fervent in His remembrance. As studies and revision is the gate towards (seeking) Knowledge, similarly, the Remembrance of Allaah is the gateway, its widest route, and the straightest path to love (of Allaah).
10. It endows one with vigilance (al-muraaqabah), which opens the door to self-reform. Entering (therein), the servant worships Allaah as if he were seeing Him. There is no way for the one who is heedless of the remembrance of Allaah to reach the station of excellence (Ihsaan) any more than for a seated man to reach his home.
11. It inclines (the servant) to turn back to Allaah, i.e., turning back to Allaah, Almighty, in all his affairs. When someone turns to Allaah frequently in remembrance, it predisposes his heart to turn back to Him in every state - so that in the face of trials and tribulations, Allaah remains his sanctuary and his shelter, his protection and refuge, the Qiblah and prayer niche of his heart.
12. It endows him with closeness (al-qurb) to Allaah. His closeness to Allaah is in proportion to his remembrance of Allaah, and his distance is in proportion to his heedlessness.
13. It opens for him the greatest door to al-Ma`rifah (deep awareness and knowledge of Allaah), and as his remembrance increases, so does his awareness of Allaah.
14. It endows him with a sense of reverence and awe (al-Hayba) before the Lord, because of the high place that (remembrance) holds in his heart, and the intensity of his presence with Allaah the Most High (through remembrance) - unlike the heedless man, whose heart is veiled from the awe of Allaah.
15. It endows him with Allaah’s own remembrance of him, as Allaah تعالى said:
﴿فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ﴾
{So, remember Me, I will remember you}
Indeed, if there was no other virtue mentioned about Remembrance except this (Aayah), it alone would be sufficient as a merit and honor. And the Prophet ﷺ related these words from his Lord: ❝Whoever mentions Me within himself, I shall mention him within Myself; whoever mentions Me in a gathering, I shall mention him in a better gathering.❞

💠 Meaning of the word: “al-Nazgh”:
Allaah تعالى said in the Glorious Qur’aan:
وَإِمَّا يَنْزَغَنَّكَ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ نَزْغٌ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ (200)
{And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitaan then seek refuge with Allaah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.}
📚[Surah al-Araaf (7): 200, and Surah al-Fussilat (41): 36]
al-Bayaan) (7):200]
🌴🌴🌴
⚡️At any time, and in any situation, {if a prompting from Shaitaan stirs you up} that is, you feel angry or you feel Shaitaan’s whispering and discouragement from doing good, or encouragement and prompting to do evil, then seek Allaah’s protection, for He hears all things, and He is aware of all that is taking place.
📚[Tafseer al-Muyassar (7):200]
🌴🌴🌴
🎓Al-Tabaree mentioned in his Tafseer:
The root meaning of the word al-Nazgh (النزغ) is al-Fasaad (corruption). It is when Shaitaan stirs animosity and the feeling of hostility amongst the people, so that one group transgresses the rights of the other.
📚[Tafseer al-Tabaree (Jaami
🌴🌴🌴
📑Note:
Many people do not know the true meaning of the word al-Nazgh which Allaah تعالى mentioned in the Qur’aan. Here is a practical example to teach you the correct meaning, because when you ponder over the meaning, you will take better precautions. It is like putting a small scorpion and a locust in a bottle and shaking it violently. The locust and the scorpion will bump into each other. The scorpion will feel that the locust is attacking it, and the locust will feel that the scorpion wants to sting it with its stinger, but in reality, it is the one who is shaking the bottle that is stirring the problem between the two, while these creatures are unaware.
This is the same example for us, as husband and wife, inside the house, in the same room, there is someone who tries to stir problems between the two while they are unaware, and that is the Shaitaan.
The meaning of al-Nazgh is Waswasah (whisper, evil prompting). And for Allaah is the highest attribute, when He تعالى says:
{And if an evil whisper comes to you from Shaitaan then seek refuge with Allaah. Verily, He is All-Hearer, All-Knower.}
♻️You won’t be able to appreciate the importance of Allaah’s Favors till you have tasted the adversities:
{Or think you that you will enter Paradise without such (trials) as came to those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with severe poverty and ailments and were so shaken that even the Messenger and those who believed along with him said: “When (will come) the Help of Allaah?” Yes! Certainly, the Help of Allaah is near! }
📚 [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 214]
🎓Ibn al-Qayyim
❝This is from the perfection of the Lord’s Favors and Blessings that He تعالى makes His slave taste the bitterness of being broken down into fragments before making him taste the sweetness of relief and reparation. Allaah تعالى makes the person know the extent of His Favors upon him by testing him with the opposite (i.e. by taking away the Favors). Like when how He سبحانه وتعالى wished to complete for Aadam the pleasure and delight of Paradise; He تعالى made him taste the bitterness of being expelled from the Jannah, and made him suffer in this abode (earth), in which prosperity and pleasure are blended in with hardships and tribulations.
So, He تعالى does not breakdown His Believing slave except to mend him, and He تعالى does not prevent from him except to give it to him, and He تعالى does not afflict him (with sickness) except to heal him, and He تعالى does not cause him to die except to resurrect him, and He تعالى does not constrict for him the Dunya except to make him yearn more for the Hereafter, and He تعالى does not test him with people’s rudeness except to make him turn towards Him سبحانه وتعالى.❞
