Utilize these remaining days of Ramadhaan to their optimum. We do not know if we will be alive for the next Ramadhaan or not.

Nooh عليه السلام prayed for his son, Ibraaheem عليه السلام prayed for his father, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم prayed for his uncle, yet Allaah did not guide them towards Islaam. But Allaah guided us towards Islaam without we even asking for it. So, this is a great blessing and favor from Allaah.

Do not be deceived that you can repent tomorrow. No one knows what is written for him for tomorrow. Repent now and amend your ways. Turn to Allaah and establish the relationship of obedience and worship.

Today is the time for action, and on the Day of Resurrection, it will be the time for judgment and no action.

⚡Important advice upon the conclusion of this great month

🎓Shaikh al-Fawzaan غفر الله له said (paraphrased):

❝The month of Ramadhaan is about to end.

➡️Everyone should bring himself to account on what he has send forward for himself (for the Hereafter) in this great month.

➡️Whoever did righteous deeds should praise Allaah and be thankful to Him, and should end this month upon righteousness (i.e. keep doing good deeds).

➡️Those who fell short or were negligent in fulfilling their obligations should repent, for Allaah تعالى indeed accepts the repentance of His slaves and forgives their sins; and despair not of the Mercy of Allaah, {Indeed, no one despairs of relief from Allaah except the disbelieving people.} [Surah Yusuf]

➡️Whether one was righteous in this month or fell short, (all) should try to end this month upon righteousness because the rewards for the deeds are decided by the final actions (deeds). [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

➡️And be fearful that your deeds might not be accepted because Allaah تعالى mentioned in the Qur'aan: {Indeed, Allaah only accepts from the Muttaaqoon (righteous who fear Him)} [Surah al-Maaidah]

➡️Judge your intentions and analyze the purpose of your actions, and let not anyone of you be amazed with his good deeds, or think that he was able to carry out his obligations as was required from him, or that he fulfilled the rights of Allaah that was upon him. Rather, he should consider himself as some who fell short, and he should humble himself in front of Allaah.

➡️Some of the pious predecessors (Salaf al-Saaleh) used to say: "If I knew that even one deed, like the size of a mustard seed, was accepted from me by Allaah, I would wish for death (in that state)." This is because of their extreme fear of Allaah.

➡️ Allaah تعالى, while describing the characteristics of the Believers, said:

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ * أُولَـٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ

{And they who give what they give (in charity) while their hearts are full of fear, because they are sure to return to their Lord (for reckoning). It is these who race for the good deeds, and they are foremost in them}
📚 [Surah al-Mu’minoon (23): 60-61]

Umm al-Mu’mineen, `Aaishah رضي الله عنها asked the Prophet ﷺ about the meaning of these Aayaat. She said: “O Messenger of Allaah! Are they those who [commit adultery], drink Khamr, and steal [while they also fear Allaah]?” He said: ❝No, O daughter of al-Siddeeq. They are those who fast, perform Salaah, [Fast], and give charity while they fear that their Lord will not accept it from them. {It is these who hasten to do good deeds, and they are the foremost of them}❞
📚 [Sunan al-Tirmidhee (3175), Sunan Ibn Maajah (4198), Musnad Ahmad (25263, 25705) and the words within the brackets are his; and graded as “Saheeh li ghairihee” by Shaikh al-Albaanee. See al-Saheehah (162)]

➡️ So we should be fearful like them that our deeds might not be accepted, and we should not be amazed by our deeds, because irrespective of how many good deeds one does, it will always fall short in fulfilling the rights that Allaah has upon us.

➡️Indeed the rights of Allaah upon us is great (which we can never fulfill), but He سبحانه وتعالى, out of His Mercy and Favors, pardons our short-comings and elevates our deeds.

➡️And always have good thoughts about Allaah, and always hope for the good from Allaah, and keep doing righteous deeds.❞

⚡️ Know your priorities

💠 Do not behave like the one who prayed the whole night, only to miss the Fajr prayer or any other obligatory prayer in congregation.

💠 The one who misses the obligatory prayers is sinful and will be held accountable for his negligence.

💠 The one who misses the night prayers is not sinful, but he will be missing on great rewards.

🌴 Abu Bakr Ibn Sulaimaan narrated that Umar ibn al-Khattaab did not see Sulaimaan Ibn Huthmah in the morning (Fajr) prayer. So, Umar went towards the market. The house of Sulaimaan Ibn Huthmah was between the market and the Prophet’s Masjid. Umar met al-Shifaa', Umm Sulaimaan, so he said to her: ❝I did not see Sulaimaan in the morning prayer.❞ She said: "He was awake the whole night, praying, then sleep overtook him (and he missed the Fajr prayer with congregation)." So, Umar said: ❝That I attend the morning (Fajr) prayer with congregation is more beloved to me than standing for the night prayers.❞

📗 The importance of the Qur’aan for the Believers:

♻️ The Qur’aan is the Word of Allaah سبحانه وتعالى, not created, from Him it originated and to Him it will return.

🌴 The Qur’aan is the Word of Allaah عز وجل and His revelation, which He sent down and which is heard from a reciter when he is reciting the words of Allaah عز وجل.

👉 Whoever receives the Qur’aan, has been bestowed with great honor:

1️⃣ The Qur’aan was sent through Jibreel عليه السلام, and he was made the chief of all the Angels.

2️⃣ The Qur’aan was sent in the month of Ramadhaan, and it became the chief of all the months.

3️⃣ The Qur’aan was revealed on Layl al- Qadr, and it become better than a thousand months.

4️⃣ The Qur’aan was revealed to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and he was made the Imaam (chief) of all the Prophets and Messengers.

5️⃣ The Qur’aan was sent to this nation and it became the best of nations ever raised, as an example for mankind.

6️⃣ Our honor is linked with this Qur’aan, as the Prophet ﷺ said:❝Verily, Allaah elevates some people with this Qur’aan and degrades others.❞
[Saheeh Muslim]

7️⃣ The recitation of the Qur’aan is witnessed:

﴿وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا﴾
{and recite (the Qur’aan) in the early dawn (i.e. the morning prayer). Verily, the recitation of (the Qur’aan) in the early dawn is ever witnessed}
[Surah al-Israa’ (17): 78]

8️⃣ And in its recitation there is healing and mercy:

وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
{And We send down from the Qur’aan that which is a healing and a mercy for the Believers}
[Surah al-Israa’ (17): 82]

9️⃣ Never does a Believer recites it, except that it increases him in Faith:

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ
{The believers are only those who, when Allaah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His Aayaat (of the Qur’aan) are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely}
[Surah al-Anfaal (8): 2]

🔟 No one abandons the Qur’aan except that his life will become miserable:

وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا
{But whosoever turns away from My Reminder (i.e. neither believes in this Qur’aan nor acts on its orders, etc.) verily, for him is a life of hardship}
[Sura TaHa(2o):124]

And the Prophet ﷺ will bear witness against such people:

وَقَالَ الرَّسُولُ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي اتَّخَذُوا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ مَهْجُورًا
{And the Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) will say: "O my Lord! Verily, my people deserted this Qur’aan (neither listened to it, nor acted on its teachings).}
[Surah al-Furqaan(25): 30]

💠 A message to the children and their parents;

1️⃣ TO THE CHILDREN:

If both your parents are alive, or any one of them, then don't wait for their passing away to make Duaa for them.

Rather, make Du
aa for them while they are still alive. Pray to Allaah for their forgiveness, pray to Allaah for their long life and good health upon His obedience. Pray to Allaah to keep them steadfast upon His Deen. Pray to Allaah to remove their pain and suffering. Pray to Allaah to elevate their status in this world and the Hereafter. Pray that Allaah makes them from the inheritors of the Jannah and protects them from the Hellfire.

And better still is that you become righteous and help your parents in fulfilling their duties towards Allaah. Go with your father to the Masjid. Take your parents for Umrah. Give money to your parents so that they can give charity. Feed the poor on their behalf. Help them meet Allaah with more good deeds and less bad deeds. All these things can be done while they are still alive.

🌴🌴🌴

2️⃣ TO THE PARENTS:

From the actions that benefit the dead after their death, the Prophet ﷺ did not say: "the child who supplicates for him."

He ﷺ actually said: ❝ The PIOUS child who supplicates for him.❞

That one word ❝Pious /Righteous❞ makes a world of a difference.

Don't raise your children with the sole purpose that they will be your support in your old age. Raise them to become the obedient slaves of Allaah. Those who are obedient to Allaah will be obedient to you in the real sense.

Don't plant a tree only for its shade. Rather, plant a tree to benefit from its shade and as well as from its fruits.

Remember, Allaah تعالى said to Nooh عليه السلام about Nooh's own disobedient son:

{He (Allaah) said: "O Nooh, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge.}
📚 [Surah Hood (11):46]

💠 Objective of Fasting

🔥 Do not let your days in which you Fast and in which you don't Fast be the same.

🔊 Shaikh Muhammad Al-Malki حفظه الله (paraphrased and summarized):

1️⃣ "Taraaweeh", "Tahajjud", and "Qiyaam al-Layl" are the names of the same optional prayers that are offered in the night, after Ishaa and before Fajr prayer.

2️⃣ The word Taraaweeh is plural of the word (ترويحة) which means resting. The Salaf used to offer long prayers and used to take a break and rest after every few Tasleem.

3️⃣ The word Tahajjud is derived from the word (هجود) which means deep sleeping. So, Tajjud refers to the time (night) in which this prayer is offered after waking up from sleep.

4️⃣ Whenever the Prophet ﷺ used to offer the night prayers alone, he used to elongate it so much that his feet would get swollen, as reported the Hadeeth of Aaishah

5️⃣ Nowadays, people are impatient when it comes to the recitation of the Qur’aan. They get irritated and complain if the Imaam elongates the recitation and shortens the Du
aa.

The Prophet ﷺ used to love to hear the recitation of the Qur’aan. Once he ﷺ asked Ibn Masood to recite for him the Qur’aan, and when Ibn Masood reached the Aayah:

فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَىٰ هَٰؤُلَاءِ شَهِيدًا ‎

{So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and we bring you, [O Muhammad] against these [people] as a witness?}
📚 [Surah al-Nisaa (4):41]

He saw that tears were falling from the Prophet’s eyes.

6️⃣ Some people prefer Masaajid where the Imaam makes longer Duaa, inviting others, saying: "Come to such-and-such Masjid, the Imaam there makes nice Duaa."

7️⃣ In some Masaajid, the Imaams make longer Duaa and shorten the recitation, which is opposite of the way of the salaf.

8️⃣ Elongation of the Du
aa is not proven from the act of the pious predecessors (Salaf), rather, it is something which some of the Imaams of the Masaajid are imitating one another as mentioned by Shaikh Bakr Abu Zaid in his book Bida'ul-Qurra.

9️⃣ Nowadays, people are affected and brought to tears by Imaam's Du`aa more than his recitation of the Qur’aan. This is the opposite of what Allaah تعالى described the Believers in the Qur’aan:

إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَإِذَا تُلِيَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُهُ زَادَتْهُمْ إِيمَانًا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ

{The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely}

🚫 Aadam عليه السلام And The Apple:

⚡️Is there any benefit in learning about the fruit that Aadam عليه السلام ate?

The tree - that Allaah سبحانه وتعالى forbade Aadam and his wive عليهما السلام to eat from, but they still ate from it - no scholar has confirmed what tree it was, and there is nothing in the Book of Allaah or the authentic Sunnah of His Messenger ﷺ to point to a specific tree or fruit.

Whatever has been mentioned about a specific type of tree or fruit, then that has been narrated by some of the Taabi`een (students of the Companions), and most of them are based on Texts from the people of the Book (Jews and Christians). Some of them said it is the fig tree, and some said it is the grapevine, and some said it is wheat, and others said it is barely. But what is more commonly known with the vast majority of the people is that it was the apple. But there is no basis for this.

🎓 Imaam Ibn Jareer رحمه الله, after mentioning the above different opinions, said in his Tafseer of Surah al-Baqarah:

❝The correct opinion is to say: "From among the many trees in Jannah, Allaah تعالى forbade Aadam and his wife from eating from one specific tree. But they both disobeyed in what Allaah تعالى had prohibited for them, and they ate as Allaah تعالى had mentioned in His Book. And we do not know which specific tree it was, because Allaah تعالى did not leave any clue for His slaves, neither in His Book nor in the authentic Sunnah. So, from where did the people come to this conclusion (that it was an apple, or wheat, etc.)?

Some said it was from barely, and some said it was from grapevine, while others said it was from the fig tree. It could be one of them (but we do not know for sure). This is part of knowledge, which, if one came to know about it, it would not benefit him. And if an ignorant remains ignorant about it, his ignorance about this would not harm him."❞
📚 [Tafseer al-Tabaree]

There are many lessons to learn from the story of Aadam عليه السلام, and learning about the fruit or tree is not one of them.

💠Rulings on Fasting the 6 Days of Shawwaal
🔊By Shaikh Abdul Salaam Ibn Abdullaah al-Sulaimaan
🎓[Member of the Council of Senior Scholars (of Saudi Arabia) and member of Lajna)

📖The Prophet ﷺ said:
❝Whoever Fasts during the month of Ramadhaan and then follows it with six days of Shawwaal will be (rewarded) as if he has Fasted perpetually.❞
📚[Saheeh Muslim and others]

Meaning: Like Fasting a complete year.

A deed is rewarded 10 times the like of it.

So, Fasting in Ramadhaan is like Fasting for 10 months (30 days X 10 = 300)

And 6 days in Shawwaal is like Fasting 2 months (6 days X 10 = 60)

So it is highly recommended to Fast the 6 days of Shawwaal, for the deed is small but the merit (reward) is big.

1️⃣ Whoever has to make for the missed Fasts of Ramadhaan, it is not permissible for him/her to begin the Fasting of 6 days of Shawwaal till they make up for missed Fasts of Ramadhaan. For he has not completed the Fast of Ramadhaan (and the wording of the Hadeeth is clear, to complete the Fast of Ramadhaan first).

2️⃣ The Fasting of the 6 days of Shawwaal cannot be given precedence over the Fasting which one has to complete as expiation (for an oath) or a vow (Nadhr, i.e. when you oblige yourself to Fast because of something that you want to happen), because the Fasting 6 days of Shawwaal is optional whereas fulfilling a vow or expiation is obligatory. An obligatory act is always given precedence over optional act. And an act of expiation has to be fulfilled immediately.

3️⃣ Making up for the missed Fast of Ramadhaan is obligatory, and it is freeing oneself of the responsibility, and a person will be questioned about them. And in the Hadeeth Qudsee it is said: ❝And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me is what I have enjoined upon him (i.e. the obligatory deeds).❞ [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

4️⃣ It is not permissible to combine the intentions of Fasting for the missed days of Ramadhaan with the Fasting for the 6 days of Shawwaal (because the condition is to complete the Fast of Ramadhaan first and then to Fast for Shawwaal).

5️⃣ It is permissible to continuously Fast the 6 days of Shawwaal together or to Fast them separately (with breaks in between), but it is better to Fast continuously. And for those who want to have gap between the days, it is permissible for them to Fast on the days which have merits to Fast in them, like Mondays and Thursdays, and the 13th, 14th & 15th of each month (Ayyaam al-Beedh).

6️⃣ It has not been legislated to make up for the missed days of Shawwaal, because it a Sunnah which (is bounded by time and) one has missed out on the opportunity, irrespective of if one has missed them because of a valid excuse or not.

A Quick Guide To Zakaah Al-Fitr:

Shaikh Saaleh al-Fawzaan:
1. Allaah تعالى has legislated that at the end of this noble month of Ramadhaan to give Zakaah al-Fitr.
2. As a source of purification for them from useless and unnecessary speech and minor sins.
3. The Prophet ﷺ has legislated that it be given on behalf of young and the old, male and female, free and enslave.
4. It a Zakaah for the body, food for the poor, and a consolation for the needy.
5. A Muslim person gives it on behalf of himself and those under his care, like his wife and children.
6. It is preferred to give Zakaah al-Fitr on behalf of the fetus as well.
7. Place: It should be given in the city/country he is residing.
8. Time: It should be given out after the sunset on the night of Eid and before the Eid prayer.
9. And it is permissible to give it out a day or two before Eid.
10. The best is delay it and give out before the Eid prayer.
11. If he delays it - without any legal excuse - and gives it after Eid prayer, then he is sinful, and he must give it out during the rest of the day.
12. If he does not give it out on the day of Eid, then he it will be pending on him to make up for it.
13. The people who are eligible to receive Zakaah al-Fitr are the one who are eligible to receive the Zakaah on wealth, (i.e., the eight categories mention in Surah al-Tawbah (9): 60)
14. The quantity: A Saa` (four handfuls) (approx. 3 Kilos) of grain or barley or dates or raisins or cheese, or whatever is similar to these things, as long as it is a staple food of the land.
15. It is not permissible to pay its equivalent in cash, because these goes against the Text.

Final Thoughts Before The Conclusion Of The Month Of Ramadhaan:

The month of Ramadhaan is departing, but do not be sad upon its departure. Rather, praise Allaah that He has allowed you to reach this blessed month. Be happy and declare the greatness of your Lord that He has guided you to Fast in it and offer the night prayers.

The month of Ramadhaan is departing, but don't let these good deeds depart with it. Do not bid farewell to these good deeds. Take them and continue with them - not only till the end of the year - but rather till the end of your lives.

Ramadhaan is not merely a month. Rather, it is a way of life, and a beginning of a change towards good.

Remember, Salaah does not end with Ramadhaan, neither does Fasting end with Ramadhaan, nor does the recitation of the Qur'aan end with Ramadhaan.

Remember, the Lord of Ramadhaan is also the Lord of Shawwaal, Dhul-Qa`dah, and other months.

So, do not abandon Fasting in other months (i.e., Fast a few days every month).

And do not abandon the recitation of the Qur’aan in other months.

And do not abandon the Masaajid in other months.

{And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e. death)}
📚 [Surah al-Hijr (15):99]

May Allaah accept our good deeds and allow us to continue doing them even after Ramadhaan.

One of the signs that a parent loves his child is that he makes sure that his child is getting proper education. So, he enrolls him in school/college, pays for his tuition fees, and provides for him with every amenity to make his life easier. But what does the son do? He squanders, wastes precious time and resources, and misses out on the opportunities that he received to excel in life.

And to Allaah belongs the highest examples.

The sign that Allaah loves us and cares for us is that He تعالى guided us towards Islaam, and He تعالى provided all the good things, like Salaah, Zakaah, Siyaam, Hajj, for our benefit in this life.

Now, it is up to us to use this opportunity and be successful in this world by being obedient to Him and worshiping Him alone, so that we get to the Jannah, or we squander this opportunity and suffer miserably in Hell.

🌴🌴🌴

Remember, if we fail, we still get opportunities in life to make amends. But when death approaches, then all the opportunities are gone. That is a regret that will not benefit. And when they see the suffering that awaits them, they will all be unable to express the full depth of their remorse. Rather, the people of Hell will try to conceal their regrets from each other.

{And each of them will conceal their own regrets (for disobeying Allaah during this worldly life)}

❝Know, may Allaah have mercy on us and you, O Ahl al-Qur’aan [1], and O people of knowledge, and O people of Sunnah and narrations, and O group of people whom Allaah تعالى has given the understanding of the Deen by giving the knowledge of al-Halaal and al-Haraam, if all of you were to ponder over al-Qur’aan, as Allaah تعالى commanded you to do, you would know that Allaah تعالى has made it obligatory upon the Believers – after having accepted faith in Allaah and His Messengers – to do good deeds.

And Allaah تعالى did not praise the Believers – that He is pleased with them, and that they are pleased with Him, and He rewarded them for that by admitting them into Jannah and protecting them from the Hellfire – except for their Imaan (Faith) and righteous deeds. He تعالى paired Faith with righteous deeds.

A person will not enter Paradise by Faith alone, except when he combines it with good deeds - towards which they were instructed. So, Faith is not completed for anyone (i.e., no one will have complete Faith) till he is truthful with his heart, and articulates it with his tongue, and acts upon it with his limbs. This is not hidden from anyone who ponders over the Qur’aan, except that he will find what I mentioned.

Know, may Allaah تعالى have mercy on us and you, I browsed through the Qur’aan and found what I mentioned in fifty-six places in the Book of Allaah عز وجل, that Allaah تعالى did not make the Believers enter the Paradise based on their Faith alone. Rather, He تعالى admitted them to Paradise by His divine Mercy, and because of their Faith in Allaah - that which He guided them towards, and their righteous deeds.

And this is the refutation of those who say that Imaan (Faith) is: “(Merely) knowing about Allaah”. And this is the refutation of these who say that it is: “Knowledge and Statement (only)”, even if a person does not act upon it. We seek Allaah’s refuge from everyone who says this.

Allaah تعالى said in Surah al-Baqarah (2): 25:

{And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds, that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). Every time they will be provided with a fruit therefrom, they will say: "This is what we were provided with before," and they will be given things in resemblance (i.e., in the same form but better in taste) and they shall have therein Azwaajun Mutahharah (purified mates or wives), and they will abide therein forever.}❞

📑 Notes:
[1] Ahl-Qur’aan: Those who have memorized the Book of Allaah, recite it during the hours of the day and night, and act upon it.

Anas Ibn Maalik رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: ❝Allaah has His own people among mankind.❞ They said: “O Messenger of Allaah, who are they?” He ﷺ said: ❝The people of the Qur’aan - the people of Allaah and the closest to Him.❞
📚[Sunan Ibn Maajah (215) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

And not to be confused with the deviant group who call themselves, “ahl al-Qur’aan”, but have nothing to do with it. By hijacking the name “ahl-al-Qur’aan” will not benefit them with Allaah anything, because they neither follow the Qur’aan, nor understand its meaning, and they refuse to follow the Sunnah.

⚡Be careful how you respond!

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported: The Prophet ﷺ said:
❝A man utters a word pleasing to Allaah without considering it of any significance for which Allaah exalts his ranks (in Jannah); another one speaks a word displeasing to Allaah without considering it of any importance, and for this reason, he will sink into Hell.❞
[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

Iblees committed a sin and Aadam عليه السلام committed a sin.

And each of them was asked a question.

Iblees was asked: “Why did you not prostrate?”

And Aadam عليه السلام was asked: “Why did you eat from the tree that was made forbidden for you?”

Both of them were asked a question!

There was no immediate judgment or retribution.

Each one of them was asked a question!

The problem lies in your actions, behavior, and assumptions. Your haphazard response to a question is where the problem begins. How you choose to answer the question determines the outcome.

Iblees said: “I am better than him!” So, he was expelled from the Jannah and was cursed.

Iblees was not immediately expelled from the Jannah because he refused to prostrate, rather, his response to the question, with arrogance and denial, was what sealed his fate.

As for Aadam عليه السلام, when he was asked: “Why did you eat from the tree that was made forbidden for you?” What was his response?

He did not say: “I forgot!”, and he did not lie nor make excuses, rather, he عليه السلام did not respond. He remained silent! So, Allaah taught Him words of repentance.

So, Aadam عليه السلام humbled himself and acknowledged his mistake, saying: “Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves.”

And he repented, saying: “If You do not forgive us, and have Mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”

The connection that broke due to disobedience, Aadam عليه السلام tried to reestablish that link with His Lord through an admission of guilt and humility.

So, Aadam عليه السلام was made Khaleefah on earth, while Iblees was debased, humiliated, and expelled.
