Sometimes it seems like people would show burning eyes during trial, but then after its completion the extinguisher comes out of their laziness and unwillingness to learn 🫠

Very few messages from the recruiters over the past year, compared to the previous years. People on Reddit confirm that the market is in its worst state these days, be it EU or USA.
A common opinion is that entry-level devs have little to no chances to get a good job. Even the experienced devs have the tough times.
You would have a fast-track :)
You're an admin of the group where people know how to get stuff done in the right way
I have joined a new company. I'm trying to build a team in London, and well, that's a hell of a job.
I've conducted more than 10 interviews, and the overall quality of candidates is kinda sad. The soft skills are amazing, the hards are horrible. It seems to be quite challenging to find a great ninja-candidate as well

After many months of unfortunate interviews, we had finally hired four devs. By now, they’ve been working for a month, and.. we’re about to fire two of them. They were pretty good at interview, but an interview was very different from how they actually work.
And it’s not even about the code.
Well, not an easy question.
The more I travel the more troubles I have to choose a hometown. Somewhere in the EU. Actually, I loved Hungary very much, even though that's kinda not-so-rich country
Haha, right.
During the interview I thought we were on the same page with candidates, but once we hired and started working... All of a sudden I understand that we've got "an architecture austranaunt".
Instead of getting the job done he's rationalizing about DDD and "clean models" kind of stuff 😔
Well. The compensation rates have declined. Much less contacts from recruiters. It's not that easy anymore.
