Hehe, sounds familiar. Over the last three months, I’ve conducted almost 50 interviews, with more than a half of the candidates claiming to be a “middle/senior”. And an overall impression is really frustrating.

Most of the candidates are familiar with a ton of fancy frameworks and libraries, but that’s usually all they’re good at.

After many months of unfortunate interviews, we had finally hired four devs. By now, they’ve been working for a month, and.. we’re about to fire two of them. They were pretty good at interview, but an interview was very different from how they actually work.

And it’s not even about the code.

A common opinion is that entry-level devs have little to no chances to get a good job. Even the experienced devs have the tough times.
