By the way, I'd encourage to add sustitles in every film where Danila Kozlovsky plays. He tends to whisper something undistinguashable in his performance.

It makes sense - it's much easier to read in your native language :) I ment English subtitles. Because I think that the subtitles should help to understand what the actors are actually saying. It leads to better understanding of the speech itself.

Yeah, it's the only way for me to watch movies, but it kinda ruins the experience.. Because instead of watching how actors are acting I'm just reading a text :)

Don’t know what my goal is now honestly
I learned English by my self and from time to time
Now it’s my new inspirational wave 😅 if I can say so
Just love it
When I understand what I hear or write it’s calm my mind, thoughts just flow more constructive
Something like that

Well early i remembered that I just enjoyed and now want to understand more

And of course movies
It’s just another experience watch it in original form (translation not good often)

Agree. During the holidays I watched 2 movies: "Gangs of New York", without any subtitles, and "The Young and Prodigious T.S. Spivet", in which the lead character was using so many schientific terms that I had to switched on the subtitles. It's all too easy to lose the train of thought when you don't understand 90 percent of the words in a sentence.

Never have I thought watching how they're performing and reading subtitles might be mutually exclusive. I didn't use to like subtitles back in my teens. But once I sat to watch "The Clockwork Orange" by Stanley Kubrick, who insisted that his films must not be dubbed. I made a cup of tea, turned on the DVD... and snapped back to reality a couple of hours later. I realized that it'd got dark in the room and my tea had cooled down. That was my first time to hear actors' real voices and I loved the experience, even given that the subtitles were in Russian.

I agree - it's a great ability to watch movies without translation! But for me it's yet too complicated. I can watch youtube videos, but not movies.
