5. Restrictive Fed policy needs more time to work
6. It will likely take longer to "regain confidence" on inflation

GOLD IS HEADED FOR $3,000, SAYS CITI
The price of gold will hit $3,000 a troy ounce in the next six to 18 months, according Citigroup analysts.
Gold's recent run has been remarkable, overcoming the headwinds of rising interest rates and a strengthening U.S. dollar. It has also continued despite a notable lack of buying in visible financial and physical markets, leading several Wall Street analysts to speculate about a "mystery buyer."
Gold's rally has been boosted by geopolitical risk, imports into China and India and what appears to be flight from traditional government-backed currencies such as the U.S. dollar, said Citi's analysts.
A roughly 20%-25% growth in global debt to $315 trillion has, they wrote, sparked demand for gold from retail buyers, family offices and ultra-high-net-worth investors.

ABC Flat vs Double ZigZag
Even though the market sentiment is pretty negative, we still need to work with what we have. Let me help everyone out on whether we are creating another low or not. You can use these two scenarios to your personal thesis. There are two ways to see the current move to the downside as I have organized: the flat or zigzag.
👉 The pro to the ABC flat scenario is that we can give ourselves some breathing room for the possible 5th wave to the downside to complete into the 1-1.618 zone for A:C fib relationship. The con to it is that the move down for wave A of the flat is most likely a 3-wave move and not a motive 5-wave move, which puts wave B as a forced part of a flat structure, which only hit the minimum 90% retracement (uncommon but still possible).
👉 The pro to the WXY double ZigZag scenario is that it hit the 1:1 perfectly. The con to it is that the bottom doesn't seem to be in, so you ideally want the low to be in tact. We also don't know the current style of pattern being created for a 1-2.
