A man in China broke his hip due to a fit of violent coughing — his bones “softened” due to sweet sodas
At first, the 35-year-old man felt pain in his leg due to severe coughing, but dismissed it as a normal cramp. When the pain began to interfere with walking, he went to the hospital, the result killed ...
X-rays showed that he had a broken femur, which is considered the hardest bone in the human body, although there were no preconditions for a fracture - the guy did not suffer from bone diseases.
Doctors conducted general tests and found out that the man had an acute calcium deficiency due to excessive consumption of sodas: orthophosphoric acid from drinks strongly impairs the absorption of calcium from food.

In the United States, a man attended a court hearing regarding the revocation of his driver's license while driving a car
The judicial spectacle occurred in Michigan a few days ago. The situation deteriorated from the start when the defendant joined the Zoom call and asked the judge to wait while he parked his car.
The judge, visibly shocked, asked the defense attorney about the intended motion. Upon hearing the request to postpone the hearing for a month, the judge remarked that he didn't seem to understand the situation, as the driver before him should not have been behind the wheel.
Realizing his predicament, the driver attempted to salvage the situation, but it was too late. The judge revoked his bail and ordered him to report to jail that same day. The defendant, stunned, could only mutter, "Oh, my God..."

Dangerous “monster ticks” are attacking resorts in Europe, reports The Sun
The Hyalomma lusitanicum insects, which are four times larger than ordinary ticks, can transmit the acute viral infectious disease Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever. While most people will not have symptoms from the bites, the disease can progress over time and affect the brain or central nervous system, potentially leading to death, which has already occurred.
Initially, these aggressive giant ticks lived in the tropics, but they have adapted to other climates. They are especially common in Spain, the Balearic Islands, and Italy. They have also been found in the UK, Portugal, Sardinia, Malta, and recently in Germany and Sweden.

Politico: The situation in Europe has similarities to the outbreak of World War I
According to Politico columnist Jamie Dettmer, the current situation in Europe shows alarming similarities to the period leading up to World War I. These include the rise of political factions, violent movements, and aggressive nationalist sentiments. Dettmer pointed to the assassination attempt on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico as a significant indicator that should serve as a "wake-up call."
He concluded that historians may soon view this assassination attempt as another intermediate stage on the path to Europe's "alarming slide into absolute political hostility."

Scientists discover previously unknown traces of civilization in Australia — Ancient Origins
Australian scientists have found evidence that the first people settled in the territories of modern Australia 65,000 years ago. These early inhabitants were part of the first wave of immigrants who traveled east from Africa, through Eurasia, and eventually to Australia and New Guinea.
The analysis of sediments in Lila suggests that people arrived in these territories through deliberate and large-scale colonization. This is evident from the earliest traces of settlement, which include hearths, dense clusters of stone artifacts, and remnants of a diet rich in fish and shellfish.
