⚡️ In France, Culture Minister Rachida Dati has proposed criminalizing "attacks" on paintings

The minister's statement came after an incident involving the environmental movement "Riposte Alimentaire," where an activist pasted a poster on Claude Monet's painting "Poppies" at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris and then glued herself to the wall.

“This defacement of art by criminals cannot be justified in any way. It must be put an end to! I have appealed to the minister [of justice] to have criminalization adapted to this new form of criminality that attacks the most noble component of our unity: culture!” she said.
