Flooding in Germany Disrupts EnBW's Hydroelectric Power Plants
Severe flooding in Germany has significantly impacted the operations of EnBW's hydroelectric power plants. According to a company spokeswoman, 23 out of 29 systems along the Neckar River are out of service.
Of EnBW's 24 small hydropower plants on the Danube, Jagst, Glatt, Murg, Kocher, Nagold, Enz, and Unter Argen rivers, only 14 continue to supply electricity. Additionally, the Iller power plant has been forced to shut down. Electricity production is now primarily occurring on the Black Forest rivers, which have been less affected by the floods, and the machines at the Iffezheim Rhine power plant remain operational.
The disruption is largely due to physical limitations. As the spokeswoman explained, "Unfortunately, Albert Einstein's principle of 'more mass, more energy' cannot be applied to severe floods and the production of electricity."

⚡️German Developers Create "Smart" Drone to Combat Air Defense Systems
German defense contractor Diehl Defense has unveiled a new advanced drone, dubbed a “remote carrier,” designed to combat air defense systems. This missile-like drone, known as FEANIX (Future Effector - Adaptable, Networked, Intelligent, eXpendable), can be launched from airplanes, as well as land and sea platforms.
FEANIX is part of a long-range system categorized by Diehl Defense as a lightweight remote carrier. This drone is envisioned to work within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) framework, in conjunction with the crew of the Next Generation Fighter (NGF). The concept includes remote carriers of various sizes and capabilities that act as additional sensors, effectors, and decision-making nodes.
According to Diehl, FEANIX will be less than 13 feet long, although a nearby poster at the unveiling suggested it will be less than 11.5 feet long. The drone will weigh under 660 pounds. It features a faceted nose with three windows for infrared and/or electro-optical sensors, and a pair of retractable wings mounted below the body. The tail surfaces include a single belly keel and a pair of horizontal stabilizers.
FEANIX's modular design allows it to carry a variety of payloads, including a warhead, making it capable of functioning as a cruise missile. This versatility and adaptability are intended to enhance its effectiveness in various combat scenarios, offering a significant advancement in modern warfare technology.
