A suspected rit¥alist, Taiwo Yemitan, has been arrested by the operatives of the Ogun State Police Command for being in possession of fresh h¥man h+ad and dismembered bod¥ parts of a female victim in Lafenwa area of Abeokuta.
This was contained in a statement made available by the Command’s Police PRO, SP Omolola Odutola, to newsmen in Abeokuta,on Sunday.
The PPRO said the suspect, a 45 year old was arrested at 1:40a.m on Sunday in his home behind Atinsola petrol station, Sanni in Abeokuta.
She disclosed that the police acted on a tip off from the state local security outfits, the Agbekoya & the vigilante operatives before the suspect was arrested.
“The suspect admitted to knowing the deceased identified as Darasimi who he lured to his residence with the intent to k+ll her.
He confessed to the murder, naming 2 other individuals, Kehinde Yemitan & one Kazeem, second name unknown as accomplice in the criminal act.
Their intention was to sell the victims head & other bod¥ parts,” he said.

Usyk Defeats Fury in Heavyweight Championship Rematch.
In a thrilling rematch, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury with a unanimous decision, earning scores of 116-112 from all three judges.
The victory handed Fury his second consecutive loss, following their previous bout in May. Usyk, who was relentless with his left hook and controlled the pace of the fight, extends his perfect record to 23-0 with 14 knockouts.
The 37-year-old Ukrainian, already an undisputed cruiserweight champion and Olympic gold medalist, had previously made history by becoming the first four-belt heavyweight champion in May.
This time, only the WBA, WBO, and WBC titles were on the line, as Usyk relinquished his IBF belt to avoid facing challenger Daniel Dubois. Usyk spoke highly of Fury, calling him a “great fighter” and a tough opponent who “makes me strong.”
Fury, now 34-2-1, was clearly disappointed stating that he felt he won both of their fights. He refused to discuss his future plans, leaving the question of retirement open.

NDLEA arrests IJGB businessman at Kano airport for body-packing 256 wraps of c+caine.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), have arrested a businessman identified Olisaka Chibuzo Calistus at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, MAKIA, Kano, as he attempts smuggle 256 wraps of c+caine weighing 6 kilograms.
This was revealed in a signed statement by the agency’s Director, Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
The seizure, which is the single largest interception of c+caune at the Kano airport since the creation of MAKIA Command of NDLEA in 2006 was made on Sunday 15th December 2024 during the inward clearance of passengers on Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 941 from Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Olisaka who claims to be into import and export business was subjected to body screening during which he was found to have packed hundreds of c+caine pellets in his body.
