🇺🇸Billionaire Elon Musk has been living in Trump's residence since the US presidential election, The New York Times writes, citing sources.
According to the newspaper's sources, Musk is staying in a cottage on the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, located not far from the main house. This allows him to easily visit the president-elect and attend meetings.
The cottage, called Banyan, is located a few hundred feet from the main building, another NYT source noted. That allows Musk to visit the president-elect. The NYT reports that Musk recently attended a meeting between Trump and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
The newspaper notes that Musk is not the only member of Trump's inner circle who has stayed at his residence. For example, Vice President-elect J.D. Vance stayed at one of the cottages in Mar-a-Lago, a source familiar with his stay told the NYT. According to the newspaper, Trump's friends and associates have stayed at the Banyan cottage for many years.
The NYT reports that Trump himself has bragged to people that Musk, the world's richest man, is "renting" a cottage at Mar-a-Lago. The cottage is renting for at least $2,000 a night, according to a source familiar with the prices, though it's unclear how much Musk will end up paying, since Trump could lower the price or not charge at all.
