🇪🇺🇺🇦The EU court has banned Ukraine from using the trademark "Russian warship, go f*ck yourself!" Sky News reports.
The Ukrainian Border Service has been fighting to register this phrase as a trademark for over two years; the corresponding application was filed with the EU Intellectual Property Office back in 2022.
However, European officials have repeatedly refused registration.
The EU's General Court today upheld the ruling, saying the phrase "fails to fulfil the essential functions of a trade mark" and is "merely a political slogan".

🇷🇺🇺🇦 Ukrainian troops are "ready to retreat" from Kurakhovo, "but there is no order from above yet," one of the Ukrainian artillery commanders told the Financial Times.

The Times writes about this with reference to a document prepared for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
The author of the report is Oleksiy Yezhak, head of the department of the National Institute of Strategic Studies under the National Security and Defense Council.
He writes that the country could quickly create a basic plutonium device with technology similar to the Fat Man bomb dropped on Nagasaki in 1945.
"Building a simple atomic bomb, as the United States did in the Manhattan Project, would not have been a difficult task 80 years later," the report said.
It also notes that, without the time to build and operate the large facilities needed to enrich uranium, during a war Ukraine could instead rely on using plutonium extracted from spent fuel rods taken from Ukraine's nuclear reactors.
“The weight of reactor plutonium available to Ukraine can be estimated at seven tons… A significant arsenal of nuclear weapons would require much less material… the amount of material is sufficient for hundreds of warheads with a tactical yield of several kilotons,” the document says.
It notes that such a bomb would be sufficient to destroy a Russian airbase."
The Ministry of Defense also notes that “the violation of the memorandum by the Russian Federation, which possesses nuclear weapons, provides formal grounds for withdrawal from the NPT and moral reasons for revising the non-nuclear choice made at the beginning of 1994.”
At the same time, Western experts believe that Ukraine will need at least five years to develop nuclear weapons and a suitable carrier. But Ukrainian expert Valentin Badrak insists that Ukraine will create its own ballistic missiles in less than a year.
“In six months, Ukraine will be able to show that it has the ability to create long-range ballistic missiles: we will have missiles with a range of 1,000 km,” Badrak said.
At the same time, Ukrainian nuclear technology experts say that Ukraine will not be able to create nuclear weapons.
