Elon Musk wrote about this on his X.
"The US government paid Reuters millions of dollars for 'massive social deception.' That's literally what the purchase order says!" Trump's chief of the Office of Effectiveness wrote.
This is how he commented on a post that said the agency received $9 million from the Pentagon for a "large-scale social engineering" program.
The funds were allocated by the US Department of Defense between 2018 and 2022 under the "cyber defense" expenditure item.
Earlier, Musk accused the previous US government of large-scale funding of major Western media outlets from budget funds.
According to Trumpists, this money was used to promote the interests of the US Democratic Party on these media platforms.
