Australia, Lucky Bay Beach

Lucky Bay is the same beach in Australia where most of the photos with kangaroos are taken. In addition, it is believed that here is the whitest sand in the World. And although there are no tropical beauties of Queensland, this is certainly one of the best beaches in Australia.

The sandy coating on Lucky Bay Beach consists of the smallest grains of quartz without impurities - hence its milky color. It is not surprising that bonfires are not allowed on this beach.

Sheltered from the winds, Lucky Bay is ideal for swimming, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, launching small boats, as well as whale watching.

South Africa 🇿🇦

Boulders Beach is the famous penguin beach in South Africa, at a distance of about 40 km from Cape Town by road.

African penguins have been living on the warm coast since 1982. It all started with two breeding pairs, and over the years this colony has managed to increase to almost 3,000 individuals.

Favorable conditions for exotic birds were created when commercial trawling of fish in False Bay stopped: the number of sardines and anchovies, which form part of the penguins' diet, gradually increased in the waters.

By doing this, they miss the opportunity to see hundreds of other fields where there is not a soul.

You can buy a train ticket 100 kilometers from Amsterdam and rent a bike to visit private farm fields. There are several regions in the Netherlands where tulips are grown: in the north, northeast and south.

Maldives 🇲🇻

Why is the Maldives such a clear and blue sea?

Firstly, it is the purity of the water, because here it really is. The advantage of the Maldives is that they are located far enough away from trade routes, and therefore the water here remains clean and not poisoned. No oil fields, no heavy trucks.

Secondly, it is white sand because of the large amount of coral crumbs in it. Coral, as you understand, is also white. The rays of the sun, falling on the white bottom, are beaten off and create additional illumination of the water from below.

Mongolia 🇲🇳,

Namegetu is a hollow surrounded by three mountains: in the north — Namegt uul and Altan uul, in the south — Toast uul. But more this area is known as the "valley of dinosaurs".

It is assumed that a global catastrophe occurred at the boundary of the Cretaceous and Tertiary periods in the evolution of the Earth, which caused the death of everything on Earth. Just here, in the "dead layer" of the Gobi Desert, the burials of Mesoic dinosaurs were discovered.

In 1946, a paleontological expedition from the USSR discovered here the richest location of these ancient giant animals, not inferior in scale to the famous African location of Tendaguru.

In addition, there is a stunning sight of a lifeless "lunar" landscape with steep cliffs and baked earth.

From January to April, they chose shallow lagoons, bays and bays on the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula – sharks and killer whales that pose a danger to cubs do not swim here.

In the 70s of the last century, local fishermen noticed that gray whales willingly swim up to the boats. One of them stroked the whale on the head — in response, the marine animal began to flirt peacefully with the boat. Since then, the hobby of watching gray whales has gained popularity among conscious travelers and has become on a par with photo safari and birdwatching.

The Umngot River (or Dauki) is an amazing miracle of nature, because the water in it is completely transparent in the period from November to February.

In April 2021, the provincial government decided to build a dam on the river due to a shortage of electricity. The project was a 210 MW hydroelectric power plant.

It caused a negative reaction from local residents who feared that its construction would undermine tourism. In the end, the project was curtailed and the locals defended such beauty.

Clean rivers are very rare in India, very often people use rivers for their needs without caring about nature.

Morning Glory Lake – geothermal spring in Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park

The reservoir got its name in honor of the flower "Morning Glow" because of the identical sapphire color.

The popular ritual of tourists – to throw a coin as a keepsake – eventually turned into a real disaster for the lake. The water temperature dropped from 100 ° C to 75-50 ° C, which caused the reproduction of all kinds of bacteria.

Organisms painted the lake in various colors: cyanobacteria living at a water temperature of 73 ° C – yellow, protozoa unicellular (66 ° C) – orange, fungi and algae (60 ° C) – yellow / green, mosses (50 ° C) – brown.
