Sri Lanka 🇱🇰, Ambuluvava

The Temple of the four religions of Ambuluwawa (Ambuluwawa Temple). Built in 2006, the complex leaves no one indifferent – climbing to the top of the tower, you will be able to appreciate the grandeur of the mountains that surround it from all sides.

Ambuluwawa Temple stands on the mountain of the same name with a height of 900 meters, let's add the height of the tower itself 48 meters – the views from here are simply impressive! The ascent to the top is very specific – it is such a spiral staircase, most of which passes outside, and not inside the structure.

Another nuance is that the staircase, like the tower itself, narrows upwards, and at the end of the way, two people who meet there will hardly be able to disperse. The railings there are quite low, which will help to fully experience the extremity of such a climb!

Spain 🇪🇸, Cathedral Beach

The beach of the Cathedrals is located in the vicinity of the town of Ribadeo, in the north-west of Spain. Its second name is the Holy Water Beach. This is a unique combination of sharp rocks and ledges with the sea and a sandy area that opens to visitors only at low tide. The place is one of the favorites among tourists of all ages visiting Galicia.

Holy Water Beach is a wild place, there are no cafes, sun beds and umbrellas familiar to tourists. This is due to the unstable functioning of the beach — only at low tide. When the water arrives, almost the entire sandy strip disappears, leaving only a small island of land near the stairs specially equipped for descent. All the infrastructure is available above — at the entrance to the beach. Parking, tables and benches create a resort atmosphere here on sunny days.

Czech Republic 🇨🇿, Moravia

Moravia is one of the three historical Czech lands, the other two are Bohemia and Silesia. These regions no longer exist as administrative units, but are mentioned in the Czech Constitution, and their symbols are present on the Czech coat of arms. Moravia is the second largest and most populous of these regions, it borders Poland, Slovakia and Austria.

The second unofficial name of the region is "Czech Tuscany", because of the smooth lines of the fields, reminiscent of the hills of Tuscany and the foothills of the Austrian Alps.

Here you will find fantastic landscapes, rich local folklore and famous hills covered with dense forests and numerous vineyards, colorful and smoothly outlined fields, neat houses and ancient gardens, picturesque meadows and ascents.

Surprisingly, these landscapes resemble a woven carpet, and not the work of Mother Nature.

The landscapes of South Moravia in the spring are one of the most beautiful and photogenic places in the Czech Republic.

Armenia 🇦🇲, natural monument "Symphony of Stones"

Not far from Yerevan there is a unique natural monument "Symphony of Stones". This attraction is located on one of the most popular tourist routes, but because of the bad road, guides often avoid it.

The object is a gorge, the rocks of which consist of huge basalt pillars hanging above the ground at a height of about 50 meters. Their special shape in the form of hexagons and vertical arrangement are very similar to the pipes of the organ, in connection with which the monument has received several names — "Stone Organ", "Basalt organ", but is better known as "Symphony of Stones". Also, some tourists compare poles with pencils.

The main version of the origin of the "Symphony of Stones" is volcanic activity. Scientists agree that the unusual shape of basalt pillars was formed during natural processes and subsequent rock collapses.

Mexico🇲🇽 , Rio Lagartos

The Rio Lagartos Nature Reserve on the Yucatan Peninsula is one of the most striking natural attractions of the Caribbean coast of Mexico.

Here are the pink lakes of Las Coloradas. The water in them is really pink. Lakes are artificial reservoirs used for salt extraction. The color of the water is determined by the high concentration of salt and microorganisms living in this water.

You can't swim in lakes and even wet your feet, because the extracted salt is used for food purposes. And the lakes themselves are surrounded by a moat in many places, so it is not always possible to get close to the water. In the same place where you can approach the water, you will have to pay 50 MXN per person for entering the territory of the salt-producing plant.

The lakes got their name thanks to the pink-tinged water. The snow-white shore bordering the reservoirs and the blue azure of the sky complete the stunning picture.

Australia🇦🇺 , Christmas Island

Christmas Island is a real paradise for diving enthusiasts. Tropical reefs overgrown with unusually beautiful corals that go into the abyss. The underwater landscape is a magnificent sight that defies description.

If we talk about fishing, then we can safely say that such a large number of huge fish can not be seen everywhere. The ocean current often brings large shoals of tuna to the coast. You can watch how these fish catch their food almost on the very surface for hours, because the weight of each fish is more than a hundred kilograms.

Tourism on Christmas Island is very poorly developed due to the fact that there are few beaches, the coast is mostly rocky, but there are a small number of picturesque coves that are located in colorful and secluded places. Therefore, people come to the island, tired of the hustle and bustle and eager for solitude and contemplation of the amazing flora and fauna of the island, almost untouched by man nature.

Hungary🇭🇺, Budapest, Fisherman's Bastion

The Fisherman's Bastion is one of the most popular and recognizable sights of Budapest. It is located on a hilltop in Buda and is visible from almost anywhere in the city.

This is a favorite place of tourists for several reasons at once: firstly, a stunningly picturesque view opens from the bastion. The main bridges of the capital of Hungary, spanning the Danube River, appear before you in the palm of your hand, immediately behind them the Basilica of St. Stephen, as if descended from souvenir postcards, and the rest of the historic district of Pest, and a little to the left stretches Orsaghaz — the Hungarian Parliament building.

Secondly, the place itself seems unusual and fabulous: towers, terraces, balustrades resemble the scenery for a historical film. Walking along the walls of the bastion, it seems that even time stopped here several hundred years ago.

Today it is unknown what kind of material the dome of the Pantheon is made of. In its center is the so-called "Eye of the Pantheon", which is a round-shaped hole measuring 9 meters.

Australia🇦🇺, Christmas Island, crab migration

Christmas Island is a relatively small (135 sq. km) island of volcanic origin in the Indian Ocean, belonging to Australia.

The main attraction of the island is the annual migration of 100 million red crabs (Gecarcoidea natalis), during the mating season, which takes place around mid-October to January, setting off on a multi-day journey from the rain forests to the shores of the ocean, while covering everything that comes in the way with an orange-red carpet: roads, playgrounds, courtyards, buildings.

It is difficult to accurately predict the date of migration, it all depends on when the wet season begins. In order to reach the shore, the crabs need about 18 days. One of the most impressive natural migrations is taking place – the synchronous movement of tens of millions of crabs for several kilometers.

The ground red crab is a species of crustacean that lives only on Christmas Island.

Australia 🇦🇺, Uluru Rock

Uluru can be considered a geographical miracle only because of its size. The monolith of red sandstone protrudes above the plain by an average of 348 m, and its highest point is at 869 m above sea level.

Uluru Rock is formed by almost vertical layers of extremely durable sandstone, the surface of which has turned red as a result of oxidation. From the north-western and north-eastern sides, erosion has cut deep channels in the rock, from where water gushes during rains - this is how spectacular, but short-lived waterfalls are obtained.

Most tourists try to climb to the top, although the locals would prefer that this not be done. Every year someone is sure to die, and others have to be saved. From the plateau at the top of the cliff there are wonderful views, it is interesting to explore the top, but the ascent is very difficult.
