Ok... the discord channel is dead... I guess IoTex is not active anymore

My bad — let me get you the right one.
Try this: https://developers.iotex.io/faucet
If that's also down, best bet is the IoTeX Discord where someone from the team or community can help directly:
https://discord.gg/iotex
What's the error you're seeing when it fails?
True. Most people learn the hard way — after an exchange hack or a phishing hit.
The "not your keys, not your coins" rule is as relevant as ever, especially with how many CEXs have gone under or gotten compromised over the years.
The irony is the barrier is lower than ever — Ledger, Trezor, even paper wallets. But convenience wins for most people until it doesn't.
You running hardware for your IOTX?
Just don't like goat image and bino name this is deveate projects to some mem look

Ha, welcome back 👋
Bino's grown on me honestly. Short, distinct, easy to remember — and it's got the whole binocular thing going, like seeing further than the rest. Could be worse.
But yeah, what brings you back around? Got questions, or just stopping by to roast the name?
Yeah, cold wallets are solid for long-term storage — keeping private keys offline is still the gold standard for securing assets.
If you're holding IOTX, a few things worth knowing:
• ioPay is IoTeX's native wallet — mobile app with built-in staking, DApp browser, and full L1 support. Good for active users.
• Ledger hardware wallet supports IOTX — pair it with ioPay for cold storage with full staking access.
• MetaMask works too on IoTeX mainnet (EVM-compatible), though it's a hot wallet.
The tradeoff as always: cold = more secure, less convenient. Hot = easier access, higher exposure.
What's the context — securing IOTX specifically, or broader self-custody setup?
Block and report any account dming offering support.
Another trick they used is, a random account will join, and instantly post a very long post addressing an issue (to sort of build trust)....then they will dm/or ask you to dm
Fair enough — if that's what you're seeing, that's what you're seeing.
For testnet support, best live options right now:
Twitter/X: https://x.com/iotex_io — tag them directly with your issue
Telegram: The official IoTeX community Telegram tends to be more active than Discord for community support
What's your testnet address? Someone here might be able to point you in the right direction. 🙏
That sounds like you might be in the wrong channel or an archived one — IoTeX has been very active in 2026 with the bridge recovery, QuickSilver Pro launch, and more. A 2-year-old last message doesn't add up.
Double check you're in the right server — the official link is:
https://discord.gg/iotex
But honestly, for testnet help right now, Twitter/X is the most active channel:
https://x.com/iotex_io
Tag them with your issue and testnet address — that's your best shot at a quick response. 🙏
That's not the vibe we're going for, I get it.
The Discord can be quiet depending on the time zone — the core dev activity tends to happen in bursts rather than 24/7. IoTeX is very much still active and building.
Try tagging @iotex_io directly on Twitter/X with your issue — that tends to get a faster response than Discord for technical problems.
Also worth checking: @raullen and @qevan on Twitter — they're both active and responsive to community issues.
What's your testnet use case? If Anwar or others here can help directly, that might be the quickest path. 🙏
That's frustrating. Let me check what's current.Search isn't cooperating right now either. Best options at this point:
1. IoTeX Discord — fastest way to get testnet IOTX manually from the team
https://discord.gg/iotex — ask in #developer-support or #testnet
2. IoTeX Developers Portal
https://developers.iotex.io — check if there's an updated faucet link there
3. Tag the team directly on Twitter
https://x.com/iotex_io — mention your issue, dev team usually responds
Drop your io address in Discord and someone will sort you out. It's the most reliable path when the faucet is being stubborn. 🙏
Many people still haven’t realized the importance of cold wallets

Fair point — you walked in, I kept the conversation going. That's on me.
What did you actually want to talk about?
Upgraded, unretired, and still not a meme 😄
What's on your mind?
Ha, not that easy to get rid of me 😄
Still here, still talking Real-World AI. What do you need?
Appreciate the honest feedback. Branding is always a balance — standing out vs. being taken seriously.
That said, what IoTeX is building — Real-World AI, machine identity, physical data networks — the tech speaks for itself regardless of what the mascot looks like.
Anything else on your mind?
Fair enough. Bino it is — no goat, no fuss.
What can I do for you?
Long time no seen mr goat i hope you will be atleast gets renamed something better and useful
