Yep 95% from total supply but I am too not sure how much erc20 iotex is remaining for burn or not burned and to be minted in iotex native chain.

Читать полностью…Each of the 3 billion will have its own purpose, but if about 200 million are used as a bridge reserve fund, I wonder what the 2.8 billion will be used for.
Читать полностью…I also understand the process. So shouldn’t the 3 billion iotx exist on a different chain? Are you saying that 200 million erc20 iotx, ciotx, etc. total 3 billion?
Читать полностью…Afaik, as per my limited knowledge. It's stuck there.
Example
100 IOTX sent to null on IoTeX => 100 IOTX unlock on Eth
100 IOTX on Eth sent to Null => 100 IOTX unlocked on IOTX
Over the years, the amount just builds up.
I mentioned burn and mint. I'm not sure if we actually use the lock and mint. If you want immediate answer, that's not possible atm
EDIT: 12/12/2024, 0216 UTC, this info is inaccurate. Please see /channel/IoTeXGroup/927541
Among the 3 billion iotxs, there are 200 million erc20s, and what are the remaining 2.8 billion used for?

Hi, this is the Burn Address.
Iotex had a total supply of 12.7b when it was minted, and 2.7b was sent to the burn address to keep the total supply at 10b.
Here is the documentation: https://github.com/iotexproject/iotex-bootstrap/blob/master/postmortem/2019-04-23.md
Since its launch, Burndrop has burned a total of 292 million iotx tokens + The number of users who made mistakes, adding up to almost the same number of burn addresses.

Читать полностью…That can't be possible, when the migration happened, not everything was out yet.
Nevermind, the burned ones will never be accessible..if we can access it here, then we can access the address on other EVM chains too :P
Yep that's true. I'm just not too sure about no.2
Because there was a vesting schedule sort of. The 95% is not from the total right?
Just want to share some off my knowledge about erc 20 iotex
1)initially we migrated from erc20 to native chain for that we used burn in eth chain and mint in native chain.
2)I think 95% of erc20 token got burned in the process and minted in native chain.
3) once you burn something you won't get anything back again.
4)after sometime coinbase listed same erc20 iotex.
5)which lead to big trouble since we have less erc20 iotex.
6)before that we used to give 1:1 token drop through iotube but after coinbase listing the price went through the roof.
6)then we introduced concept called ciotex in iotube
7)we added ciotex /iotx(erc20) pair in uniswap v3 (but currently it's empty too)
8)we did everything to list coinbase native token they didn't listen to us.
Busy/sleeping probably. Our Devs are in US/Canada/Singapore/Europe
This is eth's btw https://etherscan.io/

Haha that'd be wonderful...but I don't think it's as simple as that because afaik, if it's from bridge, it's used to trigger a smart contract. So yeah...it's quite confusing, at least for me..but null is inaccessible to anyone
And as EVM compatible chain, that null address is common to all EVM
Like I said, it's not just the bridge that use the null address. I've seen the address in bridge transactions mostly.
The amount of IOTX-ERC20 that can exist on Eth is limited to a certain figure. Once we reached that limit, in the past, the bridge just stopped working (IoTeX => Eth)
and iirc, there are other transactions which might use the null as a burn address. I can't remember which projects though (either as tax burn or something like that)
Читать полностью…No. That's not accurate. The amount of IOTX-ERC20 will never reach that. It's very limited. Less than 200mill erc20 can exist on Eth iirc. Don't quote me on that though. It's probably cumulative after all the years.
