If he shortened it according to his own needs, then this means that he did the work for himself, and he is not entitled to a wage for that."

Statistics shows that in one year abortion kills more Americans than any weapon

#Crimesagainsthumanity

🌾🍀🌿

Although there are different opinions among Islamic scholars about when life begins and when abortion is permissible, most agree that the termination of a pregnancy after four months – the point at which, in Islam, a fetus is thought to become a living soul – is not permissible.

Many Islamic thinkers contend that in cases prior to four months of gestation, abortion should be permissible only in instances in which a mother’s life is in danger or in cases of rape.

Our beloved, the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, said:

“He who has an atom of pride in his heart will not enter paradise.”

And pride is nothing other than a state of mind which consists of attributing virtues to ourselves that are not ours.

So, as the author, Sheikh Abu Salih Hamdoune, says:

“He who thinks he is better than Pharaoh has shown pride” for the following reason: he does not know his future and does not have the power to judge.

Beyond his actions, let him not forget the prophetic word:

“One of you will begin to act with the actions of the inhabitants of paradise until the last breath of his life... And there his destiny will catch up with him, he will then commit the acts of the inhabitants of hell and end up in hell.

And one of you will not stop acting like the inhabitants of hell until the last breath of his life... And there, his destiny will catch up with him, he will then commit the acts of the inhabitants of paradise and he will end up in heaven." "

Imam Ali ra, to remedy this misleading feeling, used to say:

“Every time you read a verse that speaks of good, do not tell yourself that this good praises you. And when you recite a verse that speaks of blame, then tell yourself that it is intended for you."

Everything in the world of existence has an end and a goal.

The end is maturity and the goal is freedom.

For example, fruit grows on the tree until it is ripe and then falls.

The ripened fruit represents maturity, and the fallen fruit, freedom.

The final goal is returning to one’s origin.

Everything which reaches its origin has reached its goal.

A farmer sows grain in the ground and tends it.

It begins to grow,
eventually seeds, and again becomes grain.

It has returned to its original form.

The circle is complete.

Completing the circle of existence is freedom.

“My day of peace is that in which I have not disobeyed my Lord.”

These words of Fudayl ibn Ayad prove the greatness of this man's philosophy.

While some consider the day of their birth, their hiring, their wedding, their graduation or even the payment of their first salary as a day of peace and glory...

This great master of Muslim spirituality considers that in his life there is only room for joy when he has succeeded in putting a barrier between himself and disobedience to God.

Since sin causes hardness of heart, darkening our clairvoyance and our discernment, to reduce us to the animal state.

This is why God says:

“We have prepared hell for many men and jinns because they have hearts with which they do not reason, eyes with which they do not see, ears with which they do not hear. These are those who are like beasts, even worse.”

So when Man succeeds in moving away from disobedience, he wins the ultimate battle: the fight against his ego, his soul, his passions and his desires.

God says: “He who has purified his soul has succeeded” and also:

“He who fears his Lord and forbids his soul the passions will have as his reward the abode of the pleasure of his Lord.”

📝The story of the wise master.
-------------------------------------------------- ------

When Abu Yusuf was young, he was poor. His father would prevent him from attending Abu Hanifa’s lessons, ordering him to earn money. Abu Hanifa cared for him, and whenever he was absent, he would blame him.

One day, Abu Yusuf complained to Abu Hanifa about his situation with his father. So Abu Hanifa summoned Abu Yusuf’s father and asked him:

"How much does the boy earn every day?"

He said: "Two dirhams."

He said: "I will give you two dirhams daily so let him seek knowledge."

Abu Yusuf followed his master's teachings for years.

When Abu Yusuf reached the age of youth and excelled above his peers, he was struck with an illness that left him paralyzed.

Abu Hanifa visited him and was sad when he saw him. He feared that he would die.

He left while talking to himself:" Ah, Abu Yusuf. I was expecting you to take over the teachings after me !!"

Abu Hanifa dragged his steps sadly to his circle and students. Two days passed and Abu Yusuf recovered. He washed and put on his clothes to go to his master’s lesson.

Those around him asked him: "Where are you going?" He replied:" To the master’s lesson."

They stated: "Are you still seeking knowledge? You have had enough. Did you not hear what the master said about you?" He asked: "What did he say?!"

They reported that he had stated: " I was expecting you to take over the teachings after me", meaning that you have attained all the knowledge of Abu Hanifa. So if the master died today, you would sit in his place."

Abu Yusuf himself was impressed. He went to the mosque and saw Abu Hanifa’s circle in one side, so he sat in the other side and began studying and giving advice.

Abu Hanifa turned to the new circle and asked: "Whose circle is this?" They answered: "This is Abu Yusuf's."

He asked: "Did He recover from his illness?!" They said: "Yes." He continued: "Why didn't he come to our lesson?!" They noted: "He heard what you said about him replacing you. So he started teaching his own students"

Abu Hanifa thought about a gentle solution and told one of his students:

"Go to the master Abu Yusuf, and tell him: "Master, I have a question." He will be happy. So ask him:

"A man gave his tunique to a tailor to have it shortened. When he came to him after a few days wanting his tunique, the tailor denied that he had taken a tunique from him. So the man went to the police and complained about him, so they came and took the tunique from the store.

The question is:"Is the tailor entitled to receive a fee for shortening the tunique or not?" If he answers:" He is entitled", then tell him: "You made a mistake." And if he says:" He is not entitled", then tell him: "You made a mistake.""

The student liked this problematic issue. He went to Abu Yusuf and said: " Master, I have a question." He asked:"What is your question?"

He explained: "A man gave a dress to a tailor..." Abu Yusuf answered immediately: "Yes, he deserves the wage as long as he has completed the work."

The questioner said:" You made a mistake." Abu Yusuf was astonished, pondered the issue further and said:"No, he is not worthy of the fee."

The questioner said: "You made a mistake." Abu Yusuf asked him: "By God, who sent you?"

He pointed "Abu Hanifa the master sent me." So Abu Yusuf got up from his meetingand went on until he stood in Abu Hanifa's circle and said: "O master... a question."

Abu Hanifa did not pay attention to him. Abu Yusuf approached until he knelt down in front of the master and said humbly: "Master... a matter."

He asked:" What is your question?" He said: "You know it." He said: "The issue of the tailor and the tunique?"

He replied: "Yes." He continued: "Go and answer. Aren't you a master?" He confessed: "Master, you are."

Abu Hanifa said: "We look at how much the tailor shortened the garment. If his shortening was to the man’s size, that means that he did the work completely. Then he seemed to deny the garment. So he did the work for the man. So he is entitled to the wage.

“Pride begins with just thinking about you…”

In a hadith quodsi, Allah lets us know, using a parable, that:

“Pride is my cloak and greatness My robe, and he who competes with Me in respect of either of them I shall cast into Hell-fire."

It was related by Abu Dawud (also by Ibn Majah and Ahmad) with sound chains of authority. This Hadith also appears in Muslim in another version.

Man can be deeply inhabited by this pathology (pride), without it necessarily showing up in the visible world.

So humility is the only way out for the servant. Humility comes down to being aware that you cannot be the object of any glory because everything is only divine emanation.

“Whatever good is in you is the work of your Lord.”

Thus, as Ibn Ata Allah said:

“Do not rejoice in a good deed because you have done it, but rejoice because your Lord has chosen you to make you the mirror that reflects His work.”

A touching story about tolerance and national unity:

In 1889, a Christian dwarf and a blind Muslim lived in the city of Damascus, and they embodied the most wonderful examples of tolerance and national unity despite the differences in religions. Photographic snapshots were taken of these two men, and they reflected the love and brotherhood that binded them.

The paralyzed Christian dwarf named "Samir" was carried on the back the blind Muslim "Muhammad".

The accounts about the paralyzed Christian and the blind Muslim add that the two were orphans, shared the same poor dwelling, and always lived together.

Without the light of Samir’s eyes, Muhammad had no way to get around the labyrinthine streets of ancient Damascus on his own, while the paralyzed Samir couldn’t get anywhere without Muhammad’s feet.

Samir relied on Muhammad who carried him to move around the streets of Damascus, and Muhammad also relied on Samir to guide him and warn him of obstacles and potholes. They complemented each other, one seeing and the other just walking.
Their extraordinary friendship literally completed them.

They lived in one room and worked in the same place. Samir was working as a storyteller in one of the old Damascus cafés, while Muhammad was selling items in front of the same café and listening to Samir’s stories.

Despite life's difficulties, they refused to be dissuaded and challenged by circumstances.

The Christian dwarf Samir died and Muhammad remained crying for a whole week in his room, as he could not believe that his best friend had left him alone.

He cried for 1 week until they discovered that he had passed away overwhelmed by grief.

Healing/ Surah Falaq

A mother talks about her experience about the virtue of reciting Surat Al-Falaq:

“One day my daughter wjo wqw very hungry was eating with one of our relatives who said to me,

‘Your daughter has eaten everything on the plate. Should I add more for her? Your daughter loves this food very much.’

Then my daughter abstained from eating any food for three months after that, and she lived on juices, dairy, and liquids. Consequently my daughter became very weak, and I took her to doctors who prescribed various medications for her, and I continued to recite the morning and evening adhkar (supplications) and pray for her until her appetite returned.

But I became afraid to feed her in front of anyone until I heard about the virtue of repeating Surah Al-Falaq and Al-Nas to protect against envy, and indeed my daughter ate in front of this relative, so I went into the kitchen and repeated Surat Al-Falaq and Al-Nas three times.

After that, my daughter did not abstain from eating, and I no longer feared envy for her, thanks to God Almighty, as long as I sought help from Him, Glory be to Him, and what He commanded us to do, and that was my experience with Surat Al-Falaq.”

Sufism is known for its inclusive nature.

All living creatures are essentially manifestations of one being, one reality, and therefore the entire cosmos is in essence one and the same thing—a reflection of the divine.

One who experiences the unity of being will embrace all of humanity and all living things with the utmost feelings of empathy.

It is in the spirit of such altruism that Kharaqani placed a sign at the entrance of his khaniqah with the following message:

“Whoever comes here should be given food without being asked about their creed and religion.”

“Sufism is the science of realities and states of experience.

A Sufi is that person who purifi es himself from everything which distracts him from the remembrance of Allah.

[The Sufi ] is so filled with knowledge of the heart and knowledge of the mind, that the value of gold and stones will be equal to him.

Sufism safeguards the precious meaning and leaves behind the call of fame and vanity to reach the state of truthfulness.

The best of humans after the prophets pbut are the truthful ones, as Allah mentioned them in the Quran,

‘All who obey Allah and the Messenger are in the company of those on whom is grace of Allah: the prophets, the sincere lovers of truth (siddiqin) , the martyrs and the righteous. Ah! What a beautiful fellowship ‘ [4:69] ...

[Sufis] strive to be obedient to Allah. Among them you will find the foremost in nearness by virtue of their striving and some of them are among the People of the Right Hand.

Discretion

One day, I was in a supermarket, and after I finished selecting my things in the cart, I went to the checkout area. Before me in line was a woman with two young girls, followed by a young man, and then me.

I noticed that the store’s cashier said to the woman:

“Your account is 145 riyals.”

Then, she reached into her bag, looking here and there, and collected 100 riyals, and the rest was coins. She saw both her daughters collecting the riyals they had with them until the amount reached 125 riyals, and the mother’s confusion appeared.

She tried to return some of the items. In order to reduce the bill, one of the girls told her: “Oh, mother, we don’t need this, it’s not important!”

Then, I noticed the young man standing behind them throwing on the floor a 50-riyal bill next to the woman, very lightly, quickly, and directly, addressing her with the utmost calm and politeness:

“Mother, be careful, this fell from your bag.”

He bent down in front of her and took the fifty riyals from the ground and gave it to her.

The woman thanked him, took the amount, completed the account, and left.

After he finished his account, he moved quickly without looking back, so I quickly followed him and told him:

“Wait, brother, I want to ask you a question.”

I asked him,

"For God’s sake, how did you come up with the idea so quickly and implement it with such perfection?"

Of course, at first he tried to deny it, but after I told him that I had seen him and reassured him that I was not a resident of Mecca and that I was performing Umrah and returning to my city, most likely I would never him again.

He said to me:

" In fact, my brother, I was confused when I saw the mother and her daughters collecting money to complete the amount of monry requested, but Lord Almighty inspired me to do this so that I would not embarrass the mother in front of her daughters, without the slightest trick on my part.”

I said to him: “My brother, I hope that God will vount you among those about whom He said,

‘As for the one who is charitable, mindful ˹of Allah˺,and ˹firmly˺ believes in the finest reward,We will facilitate for them the Way of Ease.” (S92 v5-7)

His eyes filled with tears, and he excused himself and quickly walked to his car. I ask God to reward him and make us and him among those about whom God said

{And who do whatever ˹good˺ they do with their hearts fearful, ˹knowing˺ that they will return to their Lord}. (S23 v 60)

I ask God to make us among those who spend in His cause while seeking His satisfaction..!
