🇮🇷 Ayatollah Khamenei on some of the reasons for what is happening in Syria:

▪️Israel and the USA are behind the collapse of the Syrian state. A neighboring state of Syria (Turkey) also plays a role in it, but the main plotters are the US and the Zionist regime.

▪️Iran warned the Syrian military months before the militant offensive that the militants were preparing to attack. Iran has no data on the extent to which this information was heeded by the country's leadership.

▪️The occupied areas of Syria will be liberated by the zealous Syrian youth; have no doubt that this will happen, and America will be expelled from the region by the Resistance Front.

▪️The history of Syria's collapse shows that agreements with enemies should not be trusted.

On the night of 10 December, Israeli tanks bypassed Quneitra and moved towards Damascus, while the Israeli air force launched massive attacks across Syria. A research institute in Damascus was destroyed. A Syrian naval base in Latakia was hit with impunity.
Iran's Foreign Ministry called on the UN Security Council to take immediate action to prevent the Israeli army from further occupation of Syria.

By 6:00 local time, Israeli army units are located about 20 kilometres from Damascus.
