From an anon who is working as a poll worker in a swing state:
1) Don’t drink a lot of liquids before voting. Most people will *not* hold your place in line if they are strangers. Other option - bring a buddy. Avoid needing to use the bathroom, unless your health situation demands it. Bring mints to prevent dry throat. If you go to pee, then assume you will be at the back of the line. Bang Energy drink might seem like a good idea just before going to stand in line — but it has to come out eventually!
2) Don’t wear Trump swag. Election officers could decide to take their break when they see that, holding up line even more. They aren’t breaking rules. But curious how they save going on break when Trump t shirts in line, leaving less election officers to get voters signed in. The Dems have snitches everywhere.
3) Bring a rollator-walker, even if you don’t need one. Borrow your grandmas and make sure she voted. They have built-in seats, in case the line is for more than an hour. I saw a perfectly healthy 30 year old use one, just to avoid her feet getting tired. Easier than carrying a folding chair. You can stand and sit for hours on those things. *Brilliant!*
4) Bring your portable cell phone battery and cord. If the line is long, at least you can keep yourself entertained. Or a copy of Bulletproof Book!
5) Bring earplugs. If your line up is outside, you will hear people honking horns, and you may be in line with a purple haired they/them whose conversations with Kamala creatures will annoy you.
6) Do not engage with people in line. Smile if they look at you, but that is it. Assume the worst of people. Avoid confrontation.
7) be super nice to the election officers. Yes, they are probably crooked Kamala lovers, but they will decide to make your voting easy, or hard. Just be nice, say “thank you for your hard work today,” and other lies to flatter them.
8) leave the video recording of long lines or skulduggery to those who have already voted. Don’t risk getting pulled out of line, and missing your chance to vote for President Trump.
9) avoid reading election news. I have seen a few people leave the line because they were demoralized by suppression polls. Bring your airpods and watch your favorite shows in line, or read something that won’t piss you off.
10) if your state requires ID, check what types are accepted, and have them all ready. Don’t lose your chance to vote.
And of course, dress for the weather in your town. Bring umbrellas, etc
