Honestly, no, the ship has not sunked.... its just a ridiculous wait. Very silly long wait. However, a wait that will bring something to the table. Everyone who knows has given up trying to convince everyone else. When the time comes, the payoff will be good. Just have to wait for, what feels like, a very unreasonably long time
