Also tried playing around with cloning and compatibility options. Even in emulator environments I couldn't get the clones to work :/

Same. I've tried different phone models from A11 to A14. Couldn't solve that issue for apps that bundle apks. Adb install using the min sdk bypass flag also did not work for the generated clones
