I sat down to start watching Happiness tonight and I was disappointed to see no audio options, only the native language.I tried watching it, but I could not keep up with the subtitles, to the point where I eventually just gave up.I really hope they add English audio soon.

ELI5: How do dock gantry crane operators aim containers onto truck flatbeds?

I haven't seen this explained anywhere, so I don't understand it. How do these operators, from 150 feet up, aim a container to land on the four pins on the flatbed, with about 1-2" of tolerance (before you miss and the container is misplaced), without cameras mounted on the crane arm or some such? It would seem to be nearly impossible to have that sort of accuracy, first try, from 150 feet up, every time... kind of like hitting the bullseye in darts from about 40 ft away with 100% accuracy, first time, every time.

Why wouldn't Netflix just lower the Ad-tier supported option $1 or $2 per month? Also, has Netflix ever deleted or removed any of their original shows or movies before?

Having problems downloading stuff

ELI5: Why is old stuff always under ground? Where did the ground come from?

ELI5: So I get dust and some form of layering of wind and dirt being on top of objects. But, how do entire houses end up buried completely where that is the only way we learn about ancient civilizations? Archeological finds are always buried!! Why and how?! I get large age differences like dinosaurs. What I’m more curious about is how things like Roman ruins in Britain are under feet of dirt. 2000 years seems a little small for feet of dust.

Need help remembering the name of a show

Can you help me find a show I believe I watched on Netflix? Like a year or so ago? Maybe two years? It had like six episodes and two seasons at the time. The plot was about two siblings, a girl and guy (who came out as gay to his family) who were navigating their dating lives. The show centered around their lives on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Fourth of July, etc). They were American but had a cultural background (Puerto Rican? Hispanic?) that affected their love lives and their relationships with their family. I loved it and would like to rewatch.

Part of my suicidal ideation and attempts were due to burnout from disregarding my own needs, in pursuit of reaching the next level.The advice the psychiatrists & therapists gave me regarding arrival fallacy was to enjoy the process of wherever you’re at; meet people; perform self-care activities (or lack of activity); and stay aware of the following needs in your life: sleep, socialization, relationships, diet, and exercise.I’m now in my sophomore year of university, studying psychology with the goal of becoming a therapist one day. I hope this post can help at least one person. Stay aware of this fallacy, and I wish you all the best. Did Netflix ruin Mononoke but anime fans don’t want to say anything bad about if?

I’m late to the party. Just finished the movie and looking at the comments from the main discussion thread for Mononoke the movie on r/anime I see so many “I liked it, but…”. So many ‘buts’ that it seems like viewers were careful not to say anything bad about it. imo, the movie is not good on its own and even worse if it’s compared to the series. The series was more coherent and had better stories as well as the right level of on-screen colors where each scene could be a portrait on its own. The movie editing is overdone, too many scenes showing up with each sentence, too many colors that it hurts the eyes, moving too quickly and round and round that it’s no surprise that many reviewers felt it’s fast paced despite being an hour and a half movie.Even the medicine seller felt like a NPC until he forced his way in the details. Makes me think this was meant to be a different movie but someone thought they can make it part of the Mononoke world to build on the series success.I also disliked the stereotyping of characters in a Disney-like-mode where the evil characters are either old or overweight and beauty means blond. A blond during Edo era was either a foreigner or a mixed breed, which was frowned upon and impossible to be placed in a high command post. Even a few characters looked like they were drawn for a Disney movie!I loved the series and was hoping for more from this movie. It had a lot of potential, but Netflix, or whoever got involved, ruined it.

Since start of 2025 Netflix stopped working in 4K / 2160p on my Chrome Browser on PC

Netflix suddenly stopped working being in 4K for me on my Chrome browser from one day to the other. Maybe since start of the new year? I noticed it yesterday, while I still watched stuff on there in 4K right before the end of the year.Everything only has the HD tag there now, so that's confirmation, but in the Edge browser, 4K things still have the 4K tag, so an issue with Chrome? Should I Worry about “New Sign In” from Netflix email

I was worried when I got an legit email from Netflix saying there was a new sign in on iPhone Safari - Mobile Browser from Michigan. This was a few days ago. Then I try to go into my account settings on my app, which does bring me into a browser submenu, then I got the same email but from Texas. I did this the same thing and still got the same email. I think it thinks going into the account settings is a new sign in.What I did notice is that time was from Michigan but this time was Texas. Is this anything I should be worried about?
