YSK: Test LED Christmas lights with button battery

YSK you can use a pair of metal pliers and a 3V button battery to test individual LED bulbs on a strand of lights. Start at the end of a dead section and remove bulbs one at a time. Use metal pliers to form a circuit between the bulb leads and both sides of the battery. If the bulb doesn't light up, try flipping the battery as LEDs only conduct in one direction. Return working bulbs to the strand, and replace dead bulbs.Why YSK: This is faster than replacing each bulb, and it can help identify if multiple bulbs are burnt out. Audio and Subtitles changing when in another country

I’m currently in Peru, although i came from australia just for holidays. I’m trying to watch the mob psycho anime, but before coming here, i’ve it downloaded in english. However now that i’m in Peru, the audio and subtitles have changed and my downloads also have changed to only the spanish, japanese and portuguese options with no English audio or subtitles available anymore. I’ve put the profiles and everything on english but the language for the dub and subtitles are only either in japanese, spanish or portuguese still! Idk if it’s the same situation for anyone else but it is something that’s been driving me insane.I’m on the third season and things have been getting really good and I love Reigens VA int eh english dub so I don’t wanna lose that! Please help!!!TL:DR: My audio and subsidies have changed for the anime i’m watching and i can’t change it back despite setting everything to english primarily.

ELI5: Why the AC-DC-AC power conversion for electric locomotives' motors and not AC-AC?

I do know they first lower the overhead line voltage to an ideal one for the electric motors, but why the conversion to DC only to then get back to AC power?I'm strictly referring to powering the AC motors alone, not the smaller DC-required circuitry of the locomotive's control panels.

What’s the name of this show?

Used to have a subscription to Netflix years ago (10+). I remember there was this survival show based on true events. Specifically there was this one episode about a man surviving a bear attack in the woods. It got pretty gruesome at some points. The show was apart of my childhood and I’ve been trying to find it again and have had no luck.

How does account share work?

Is this something you can turn on/off - at will? My friend and I share streaming accounts, (don't live together) and have the plan to match, but I'm intermittently running into the issue where it says my account isn't in the same home and needs to be added. Seems to always happen conveniently after friend gets into their feels. Looking to see if this is a common Netflix issue (as I thought the higher tiered plan eliminated this issue) or if this is user-input changes.

Some posts I’ve seen recently, a cockroach in spinach and Advil molding, many, many people suggest suing the company, but the best way to get free compensation about it is to just contact the company it’s from about it.Why YSK: You can get free stuff, for free. Suing is a bit overkill and expensive. If the problem is rare like the Advil molding, the company could ask you more information about the bottle to help improve their food safety. Often these companies will compensate you, and worst case scenario they ghost you or you learn about the amount of cockroaches that can be legally in your spinach.

ELI5: Why are commercial banks in Hong Kong and Scotland able to issue banknotes?

In Scotland, banknotes are issued by RBS, Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale, while in Hong Kong, HKD notes are issued by HSBC, Standard Chartered bank and BOCHK.Why do they still get to issue banknotes instead of a public agency like HK monetary authoritydoing it? (I know that HK government issues 10HKD notes but why is it limited to that?)Who pays for the printing cost?And how do government ensure that these private entities do not print more banknotes than the number of banknotes that they actually destroy?
