Do you remember the name of this series?
At /r/netflix
I need your help in finding an older medieval tv series. I can't remember the name of it and all my searches have come up short. It was on Netflix for awhile, still could be. It had a number/year for the name. It was a medieval/kings/magic type show. Here come some spoilers, so if you have watched it then you know - It is a story about 3 friends. 2 are dating, and the other was adopted by a king. Long story short - as I remember the three of the them come up with a plan. The female in the couple agree to "fake" marry the friend to save the kingdom or something... there is a battle - she thinks her boyfriend is dead, so she and new hubby really start looking at each other as husband and wife - then find out bro isn't dead... there is a big battle at the end of the series - chick finds out she is preggers with bro's baby....What was that series called?Thank you!!

ELI5: How are footprints in a lake bed from 22,000 years ago still visible today?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
This is in response to seeing an earlier post where a woman from 22,000 years ago left footprints in a lake bed. Wouldn’t water from the lake or weather have cleared the prints? How did they dry so quickly to become permanent?

ELI5: Why don't cars have a cold start oil priming delay/sequence to reduce wear?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
So, I've seen quotes of Mobil 1's research that say something along the lines of "90% of engine wear occurs during cold starts" with the implication that the damage is occurring from metal on metal damage as a result of the oiling system not being completely primed (e.g. it's all drained to the bottom of the tank).Given that, why don't manufacturers build in a oil pressure prime delay? I know when I open my car door after in the morning I can hear the fuel pump prime - seems like it wouldn't be difficult to add an electronic priming motor to the oiling system.I get that engines today last 200K miles, so maybe it's just that it's already "good enough"?Note: Link to most recent video I watched that references the 90% of damage quote - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3eC5FFoCq4s

Constant video issues
At /r/netflix
I recently contacted Netflix as every title I watch freezes up at some point. The sound continues, but the video never resumes and eventually the title closes and won't open again. Due to having no issues with multiple other streaming services on my smart TV, it is definitely Netflix. According to Netflix this is due to the device 'storing too much data from Netflix', and I was instructed go turn my device off and on again, however, although this solves the issue short term, it happens again later with other titles. Surely turning my device off and on again cannot be a long term solution to this? It is very frustrating and in a few occasions I have simply found the title on another platform and watched it there instead.

Why did my downloads disappear
At /r/netflix
I’m traveling and is going to spend 11 hours on the plane..I downloaded some movies to watch but when I opened them on my first flight (thankfully only 3 hours) it didn’t work and said that there was no internet connection even though I downloaded it beforehand and had literally some of it already. Then when I got off the plane I checked my downloads and everything is gone, I tried to redownload it but it didn’t let me as my plan is 15 downloads per month…Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Hacked and account got reset?
At /r/netflix
So was on my computer and suddenly i'm getting some emails from Netflix, subjects like account details being changed. I try to read them but also panicking at the same time because I only have access to the account then those emails are deleted from my inbox within seconds. Great now my email account has also been hacked too so I change my email password and do a recent login check and I can see lots of unsuccessful attempts to log in from lots of different countries but only one attempt that's successful is mine. So email account sorted hopefully now onto Netflix. I try logging in but password is changed so I do a password reset. Upon logging in, my plan is no longer active (last paid on the 4th Jan). I resub and now I can access Netflix again however somethings different. My list has nothing in it and there have been no past payments made other than today's (i've been renewing plan for several months) like as if the account is completely fresh. Hopefully that's the end of it. What i've done is changed my email password, changed my Netflix password, changed the email linked with Netflix to another email, linked my mobile phone to Netflix account, went through Paypal to refund the subscription I lost. Anything else I should do to stop future hacks? Should I tell Netflix about this?

YSK: Freezing fresh herbs in olive oil can help them last much longer and stay fresh
At /r/YouShouldKnow
Why YSK: If you have fresh herbs that go bad before you can use them, freezing them in olive oil is a good way to keep them fresh. Just chop up your herbs (like basil, rosemary, or thyme), put them in an ice cube tray, cover them with olive oil, and then freeze. When you need some, just pop out a cube and add it to your dish. It keeps the herbs fresh and avoids them drying out. It’s really an easy way to save herbs that might otherwise go to waste. Here's a more in-depth guide on how to do it: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/23/realestate/frozen-herbs-garden-cooking.html

ELI5: Why can't our brain always pinpoint the exact source of pain even if the body "knows" where it's delivered from?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
That's what always left me wondering. Our body has an advanced nervous system that can deliver the pain signal from basically every part of our body. But when it comes to actually saying where the pain comes from exactly, and what is wrong with us it's like the brain is telling "Yeah, somewhere around your stomach - go figure what it is yourself". From what I understand the body has the capacity to send the distress signal (often even "knowing" exactly what is the issue), and the nervous system has the full capacity to deliver it. But why is that when it comes about the brain it's more about just guessing where the pain is?

YSK Always wear/arrange a outfit at home, that you can go out in as per the season.
At /r/YouShouldKnow
Why YSK: I used to have minimal or no clothes on when at home(its an apartment), until my literal next door neighbor (rest in peace) committed s**cide using a toxic chemical gas, they were not discovered for a week. Office colleagues, relatives came to do a wellness check and discovered their note posted on the room door, which mentioned the toxic chemical. Naturally they called 911. I did not get to know all this until the next day.The FD evacuated the whole building, and i was almost dragged out of my apartment by two fire fighters (in hazmat, screaming theres toxic gas, you need to get out) wearing only my underwear, in 4°c outside. Bless the paramedic who gave me a mylar blanket, and the cafe owner who let me sit in their back office. Call it a trauma reaction but now i wear a tshirt/hoodie and a pajama or shorts atleast.Edit: people might call my story fake, dont understand how panic works. Alsoi did not answer the door, my partner did. Lets see eye to eye when 2 fire fighters come in and tell you to get out asap.

If I was a squid game writer and we created the games yearly
At /r/netflix
1st season of squid games, we got a Korean gambler betting his life to play kids games.Season 2 same Korean guy gets roped back into the games with vows to bring it down.Season 3 Korean guy realizes it's bigger than he could've imagined and world wide.Season 4, 5, idk we get the very first squid games and maybe flashbacks of others. We see the American squid games with, dodge ball, kickball, telephone (where the team has to have the correct phrase said by the last person) where team is killed, and King of the hill where the players have to fight for a spot on the platform or be eliminated when the buzzer sounds (platform gets smaller as more are eliminated) like that scene in "The Platform 2" with the kids, and duck duck goose, with no rules on tripping lol. Maybe a look at

ELI5 Why do people snore only when asleep?

ELI5: What happens if your insurance company declares bankruptcy?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
A question I’ve had on my mind since the LA wildfires started is, what’s gonna happen if one or more of the home insurance companies in the area goes bankrupt because of this? I mean this is a freak accident that’s created a multibillion dollar loss. It’s not unreasonable too assume that some insurance companies could become insolvent because of this event. If that happens, are the people who are owed a payout just sol?

Will Sandman season 2 ever see the light of the day?
At /r/netflix
Is it just me or most of Sci-fi shows take forever to get the 2nd season if they get it at all? Taking Sandman for example it was renewed 2 years ago and it spent 6 weeks in top 10 shows and we still did not get the sequel. It’s kinda frustrating. There were a lot of other good fantasy shows we never got to see, or that sizzled off after season 2 just because they had insane waiting time between seasons.
