Netflix account keeps getting hacked after signing in through Microsoft Store's Netflix app
At /r/netflix
A while ago I texted my brother to send me the netflix credentials so I can login through my PC and watch a show I wanted. A few days later, someone logged in our account from the Philippines. My brother changed the password, used a unique one, and it was safe for a few months. I didn't ask for the new password since I rarely use it, and all was well. Then, few days ago, same story happened. He texted me the password through discord (could be related to discord but I think one time he entered it himself on the PC), I logged in to the app, and today we got a notification that someone from Philippines has logged in our account. Has anyone noticed similar behavior? No other accounts have been compromised, it's only Netflix.

YSK: What a sunflower lanyard means
At /r/YouShouldKnow
You should know that a sunflower lanyard is often worn by individuals with hidden disabilities or conditions, such as epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, or mental health challenges. It helps signal that the wearer might need a bit of extra understanding or accommodations without needing to explain their situation. Why YSK: Knowing this can help you better understand the purpose of the lanyard and what it represents. It’s a small way to promote awareness and inclusivity by recognising and respecting those who might have hidden disabilities.

Do Netlix games have a precedent on including more supported devices?
At /r/netflix
Hey everyone!I'm keeping it short. Civilization 6:Netflix has been out for quite some time now. My gf can download it on her iPad 9. I can't do the same on my Samsung S9 FE, because it is incompatible, although the non-Netflix edition works like a charm. Is there any news or chance on other devices being included later on?I have read that you can sideload it, but I won't download random apk-s from websites.

Gi-Hun does absolutely nothing to alter the votes in Squid Game 2, and it’s making me crazy.
At /r/netflix
The guy has 45 billions to himself. He could literally offer players to give them more money than there is in the bank.He does not even try to convince people, he’s the most passive guy ever. He could have said that even if you win, they might bring you here. That the next game may ask you to kill your allies. That the next game may be completely about luck. There is so much more he could do to try.I am so disappointed in this season. I can’t believe it took 3 years for this. The drama is not interesting, and the entire voting system makes you hate pretty much every character. The voting itself makes no sense. Isn’t the goal of the games to entertain rich people? Where’s the fun if everybody decides to go home after one game?

ELI5: How are encrypted passwords not vulnerable in a company’s database of passwords?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
If the company (or whoever has your login account) asks you to update your password, they know if your new password is too similar to the one that you're changing, and make you try again. That appears to me to mean they can read pieces/strings within your encrypted password. It also seems they must store a version of your password that can be examined one character at a time. And, the real question, why isn't this saved password vulnerable to stealing/hacking

Account protection is broken
At /r/netflix
I have two home internet connections. One with Spectrum for my home, and one with AT&T fiber for my home office. But with Netflix’s BS account protection it keeps thinking I’m in a different household even though it’s one address. I can even be signed into Netflix from the same network and it will tell me I’m outside my household. This is such a flawed system they’ve setup.

Why did Netflix remove the Download option for Desktop? How does this benefit the customer experience ?
At /r/netflix
Ok, so I haven't tried using Netflix on my laptop for a few weeks, and surprise surprise...looking to download some Christmas movies to watch at my leisure....only to discover that, the download option is no longer available for desktop, and is only for mobile devices.Like really? why ??Mobile devices typically have smaller screens than computers. It's a lot more comfortable to watch a movie on the computer. Not everyone has 24/7 internet connection, the download feature was very good. I don't understand the logic of this decision.

Squid Game S2 and cliffhanger endings.
At /r/netflix
Let’s talk about the cliffhanger. I see a lot of people crying about this. If it made you upset, good. That means it did exactly what it was supposed to do. A cliffhanger’s purpose isn’t to satisfy; it’s to provoke. It’s meant to leave you unsettled, questioning, and desperate for what comes next. If you’re angry or frustrated, it’s because you’re invested.Binge-watching culture is the real culprit behind your disappointment. When you consume an entire season in a single day, you’re not allowing the story to breathe. The anticipation, the buildup, and the time to process each episode are lost. Without that, of course, you’re going to feel dissatisfied when you don’t get an immediate conclusion. Stories aren’t always meant to be devoured all at once—they’re crafted to unfold over time, and the impact is diminished when you rush through it. I give the season a 9/10. I was thoroughly entertained. I'm glad it didn't follow the same notes of season 1. The story is progressing naturally and the last episode was effective.

All of my favorite shows are coming to an end next year. 😢😭 Any recommendations on a new series I should get into?
At /r/netflix
Stranger Things, Cobra Kai, Squid Game and possibly Outer Banks are all coming to an end with their final seasons in 2025. It’s sad because I’ve spent the last few years really being into those. I got into Stranger Things in 2018 and loved it! I got into Outer Banks and Cobra Kai in 2020 and they were both my comfort shows while I was going through a tough time, and Squid Game was a show I discovered in December 2021 through watching Mr. Beast and through my friends who watched it and I have rewatched Squid Game Season 1 at least twice every year since it came out, and I finally watched Season 2 today and Loved that as well! It’s sad because all of the shows I have listed have been shows I’ve been into for years but are now coming to an end. 😓😢😢😓Anyways, with those shows all coming to an end, does anybody have any other Netflix Originals that are good that I should check out? I’m open to any suggestions. Thank you in advance! 😃😁
