For those that can't watch Netflix in 4K and Dolby Vision in their Windows PCs

This is an informative post and update for those that watch Netflix on their Windows PCs. I'm writing this update since I've saw there were few other people experiencing this.Precisely two weeks ago I discovered, out of the blue, that I wasn't able to watch Netflix in 4K/Dolby Vision anymore but only in 1080p SDR at max. After a lot of tampering and reinstalling drivers, apps and extensions (DV would always work outside of netflix) I've finally found the culprit: the current versions of Microsoft Edge.Strangely enough, DV/4K streaming are broken and don't seem to work in my system when using the normal version of Edge or the Netflix app (which is not a standalone app anymore but a wrapped version of the Netflix page in the browser).Using Edge Dev (which is a stable development version) everything works as intended. So for the time being, I'd suggest to download that version and watch Netflix there. The Netflix app can only use the normal one but it's a workaround in the meantime that it will be updated. I hope this post of mine can help someone, ofc I dunno if my case can be applied to anyone but it's something at least, especially considering that Netflix/Microsoft customer supports were not useful to say the least. YSK: If you tap on the top of a soda can before opening, it reduces the chances of it fizzing over.

Why YSK: Before opening a shaken or dropped soda can, tap lightly on the top of it a few times. This helps dislodge bubbles that have built up on the sides, making it less likely for the drink to fizz over and spill. A simple trick to avoid a mess!

How are elephants not overpopulating? Okay, this encompasses all super large animals like elephants, hippos, giraffes, moose, rhinos etc. How are they not overpopulating if they have very few to no natural predators? Maybe a moose and a giraffe is more understandable, since a bear or a lion family (respectively) can hunt them. But other than humans and disease, who can possibly control the population of elephants and rhinos and why aren’t they overpopulating?If the answer is humans, then that’s fair enough but we didn’t do it to control their population so let’s assume we hadn’t driven some species to the brink of extinction: would these animals be a problem like deer are becoming in the US?

YSK that if you have issues with an Amazon order, it's resolved much faster if you call customer support than use the chatbot

Why YSK: Just got off the phone after a package which supposedly arrived Monday was never delivered. The website and app now no longer list a phone number for customer service and instead reroute you to "Help Articles" or an AI chatbot, both of which come with predetermined responses designed to stonewall you into giving up, saying wait X days and try again.I had to search for their number externally and happened to find it in a 7-year-old forum. Even when I called, it went to a voiced AI with the same questions as the app chatbot. I had to explicitly request talking to a human colleague before it patched me through, after which I was refunded for the missing items.Turns out the delivery guy got the wrong place, they took the items and denied receiving them when Amazon went to get them back. TL;DR don't bother with AI customer support, go straight to a human operative if you really need help. The numbers for your regions are usually available elsewhere online.

YSK: if your FedEx or UPS packages are frequently delivered to the wrong house(s), Google may have your address at the wrong location

Why YSK: This came up on social site when people were complaining of misdelivered packages and people having to swap packages for the right ones. Someone noticed her address in Google pointed to a spot where her packages often ended up, even if the house number didn't match.So check Google map of your address. If the marker is not right on your house, make the necessary correction. UPS and FedEx relies on Google map to make the route and with hundreds package per driver per day, the drivers often won't have the time to check the house number or the street name matches the package. They go by what the programmed route states.I have no idea if Amazon does the same so check anyway if your package keeps getting delivered to the wrong house.

I am so disgusted with Netflix right now. I primarily watch K dramas but lately there are only "new" J dramas. Beautiful Life 2000, The Black Swindler 2006, Bayside Shakedown 1997 snd Tokyo Love Story 1991. And the tiny screens are so nostalgic. Seriously? I am just about ready to break up. Anyone else? Fully expecting to get blocked but i do not care

XO Kitty Season 2, this just keeps getting worse

Is it just me or like every character in XO kitty S2 is just so weird, no character development and to be honest very tedius to watch... The only reason I kept watching cuz I just wanted to know how they even end it but alas I failed, it's just bad...like the plot just doesn't make any more sense and they kind of just keep adding more weak plot twists that do not make any difference. Also what is happening in that school?? could they have not shown a few classes atleast happening like just for a second or two, the school in this series is more useless than the school in the Riverdale series and we all know that was just bad. I just wanna know am I the only one who feels this way and also those who watched the season 2 completely, can you guys just lemme know what happens in the end?????

ELI5: If the power company in your area is your only option for electricity, how is that not a monopoly?

In the US, we have antitrust laws in place to keep companies from forming monopolies and promote competition. However, in my area, at least, I only have one power company to choose from. They set their rates, and if they hike them then I have no one else I can switch to. Does this not make the power company a monopoly? If so, how is this allowed, and if not, why not?
