Netflix is unwatchable. When I click on series, it says “Remind me”. Anyone has the same problem?

Any solutions guys? Almost 80% of series are unwatchable. If it’s a region problem, I shouldn’t be able to search and click on them. And they are even recommended to me as “Your next watch” etc. It was fine up until today. Did this happen to you guys before?

Why ysk: I'm thinking that people believe that the microchip alone is enough to identify their pet. It isn't.I was at the vet this morning, and a woman came in with a neglected little dog. She asked if maybe it could be tracked via a chip or something. The vet staff scanned the dog, and they found a chip. I thought it was a Festivus miracle, until the staff searched the database, And saw that the dog's owner had never completed the process.Don't ask me questions about the process, because all I know is what they said at the vet's office today, but it's the pet owner's responsibility to go online and register the chip so it can be matched up when a missing pet is found.If you value your pet enough to get them microchipped, complete the process.

I have always wondered this, I'll even include a personal example, I just finished playing the 2013 game Tomb Raider, the game aligns with my interests of exploration and adventure and even visually the game was very appealing. And despite the traumatic events Lara was going through, I couldn't help but fantasize if I was in that situation.
Now obviously, I in no way WANT to be in that situation, it was a traumatic event and very life-threatening for Lara, but I couldn't help but look past that and instead looked to the adventurous side. And the game aside, so often people fantasize about bad things happening to them, why is that? Is it a trauma response? A need for more? What is it?

This will be obvious to many of you, but I have noticed that there is a common misconception about what a "reference" is.During a job application, one of the first pages will ask you to list you to list employment history, with dates of employment and contact numbers for supervisors/managers to confirm employment. Entering that information means that the job you're applying to may call your past employers to verify if/when you worked there. Most modern medium-to-large employers hire out an agency to do this. An application asking for 2-5 references, and how you know them (and how long you have known them, and their title) are for character references. Listing a reference in this section means that you are listing people that you trust to give you a good review; expect that they will be contacted by future employers to verify you're good to work with and good employee. This is why many applications often require at least 1-2 references to be a former manager. [The reference will be asked about your reliability, level of motivation, if you can work in a team, etc].Important take-away - references can be asked to speak about your character, they will be asked questions about who you are as a person. Emails and phone-numbers of past managers are that you provide for employment verification can overlap as a reference - but that does not make them the same.Why YSK: I made this post because it appears some people believe that personal references can't legally give you a bad review - they ABSOLUTELY CAN. This is why you need to pick and choose who you list as a character reference.Please do not list people as references unless you worked well with them, asked them first, and are certain they will give you glowing reviews to potential employers.

Help, my mom is subjecting me to this garbage. But for real, was it made to be bad? I hate it so much. I also hate how rationality does not exist in movies. If the scarf is keeping him alive, he can take it off, turn into an ice sculpture, then everyone will see that he's a snowman like he says. ELI5: Is the “whitest white” not just a mirror?

I’ve seen people talk about the “blackest black” which would be something that theoretically reflects 0% of visible light. So its opposite would be something that reflects 100% of light, right? Isn’t that just a mirror, or some other highly reflective surface? I first heard someone talk about a “the whitest white” when referring to paints, like an equivalent to Vanta Black, or Black 2.0. Would it be different in that context? Would the whitest white paint be a paint that simply has no pigment? Then which would truly be the whitest white?

This is definitely one of my favorite childhood comfort movies. I feel like it’s a bit lesser known, it’s a delightful medieval fairytale adventure with an extremely charming Anne Hathaway, and Cary Elwes villain! The campy humor of medieval anachronisms like wooden escalators and Crockery Barn wedding registries reminds me a lot of the humor in Shrek. Plus, it’s a quick hour and a half movie which is a genre I feel is harder to find these days. Highly recommend as a comforting holiday watch!
