I lost count of how many shows that i liked Netflix cancelled on the first season, but Kaos hurt the most.

Only reason I'm not cancelling yet is cause my girlfriend and my mother are also using netflix on the same contract and it's always been too much of a hassle switching to another service with a entire group of people, but I'm talking to then about switching to other platforms at this point. my personal list of cancelled shows that i don't get why were killed so fast:KaosThe SocietyI'm not okay with thisParanormal ParkLockwood & Co1899Shadow and BoneAgent Elvis (watched one episode before the news of it getting cancelled hit)Dead Boy DetectivesThe Brothers sun (how the fuck am i on 10 already, afaik these shows were all canceled in 2023 and 2024)[The Midnight Cluband that's about it, now how many shows i watched for the first time that got renewed? ONLY ONE, Supacell
and like i really liked supacell overall, but that show really feels much lower budget and maybe that is the reason it's alive, I'd say i am looking forward to it, but with this massacre i just described of shows getting axed, how am i to expect that if supacell gets even 10% more budget to maybe look a bit better its not getting cancelled in season 2? or maybe rushed to a ending in season 3?I have no confidence watching a show these days won't lead to a complete waste of time, so i'd wait for them to actually finish before watching, but if i do that they get axed instantly cause brother there is no patience on these executives it seens, nothing gets to grow more than a year in the garden of tree stumps

English version of boy and the heron?

I live in Canada and have a Canadian Netflix account, and noticed the boy and the heron is streaming now. Was excited to watch it and couldn't figure out how to watch the dubbed English version, Just English subtitles.Is there an English version im missing somewhere on Netflix? I know they released an English dubbed version to theaters. If not, anyone know where someone can watch the English version? Thanks in advance.

Netflix on Roku doesn’t “remember” where I pause episodes

Anyone else experience this issue? You’re watching an episode of a show on Netflix, you pause in the middle of the episode to answer a call or something. Let’s say it’s a longer call than expected. When you go back, the pausing has timed out and gone back to the prior menu for that episode but it now only registers your progress on that episode from the last time you logged into Netflix. In most cases that means you have to start the episode from the beginning again. Is there a fix for this by changing something in my Netflix or Roku settings?Device used: Roku Ultra 4K

Confused about extra screen

So, I got a new iPad for my mom and added ( and pay extra) to give her the extra screen outside the household. she lives in Italy tho and I live in Ireland, she’s here and we set it up here. When she goes back will Netflix automatically change to the Italian one? or will she b stock in the Irish one ( she can’t watch much, she has no English at all)

Crashing since dc of my subscription & adding ads

So last week I got the notice my subscription was no longer being offered and now I have to deal with ads (yes for a cheaper price) BUT ever since that change occurred Netflix keeps crashing every time I open it (firestick) I’ve done all the things- clear cache, clear data, uninstall/reinstall, restart device, unplug device. One of these will generally work for the day and next time I try to open it, it force closes again and I’m having to try all these things… again. My firestick is updated. Its only 1-2 years oldMy internet is fineNo other apps are force closing like Netflix Anyone having this?

Am I the only one who feels like I wasted a few hours of my life to watch basically exactly the same ending? Did I miss something? I get the elaborate on it a bit but it is just the same thing with different people. Still no reason. Maybe they will actually elaborate if they make a third but I don't plan on wasting time watching to find out.

Why YSK: I work for a large non-profit retailer and handle the scheduling of interviews for nearly 100 stores across the country. Every day I call ~100-150 applicants. My coworker has a similar workload. Every day we have to pass up on ~ 15 applicants each. These applicants have applied and been passed on because they don't answer their phone and don't have their voicemail set up. You may ask, "Why not just email them?" To put it simply, phone calls and voicemail result to ~40% succesful contacts + call backs. Email outreach, which uses nearly identical language to our scripts for calls, has ~3% call back.People check emails even less than answering the phone.So what happens if they don't answer after multiple attempts and we can't leave a voicemail? They get skipped. I hate that we have to do that, but it's simply a waste of time to repeatedly attempt contact with someone who likely has no idea why we're contacting them. Every position receives multiple applicants every day, which means we WILL fill that position, and I imagine this is similar for many retailers around the world. I understand that in today's world many people don't answer unknown numbers, which is fair. But, if you're expecting to hear from an employer about an application, it is in your best interest to AT LEAST ensure your voicemail works and has space to receive new messages.
