Picture Quality Issue on Netflix

Hi all,I'm getting an annoying issue on Netflix, either on Chrome, Edge or the PC app. TV shows and series are nice and sharp in HD, but movies are grainy, pixelated and blurry. Would attach screengrabs, but the rules say I can't! LOL. I was getting this before, but I would download them and then watch, but with the removal of this function, can't watch movies anymore. Last week I went to, cough, streaming site, to watch cocaine bear because it was grainy on Netflix.Checked the bitrate quality - streaming Superstore its 1920x1080, streaming Cocaine bear it's 960x540.Anyone know why? Is this is a buffering thing? I can't watch movies on Netflix because of this. Pls help!

Laptop screen does whatever this is when I turn on a show

So I was trying to watch netflix on my laptop and i got this weird static screen. if I alt+f4 out of the browser, the screen goes back to normal. so far, i’ve:run a RAM diagnostic - no problems downloaded netflix app instead of browser, still same problem. I also updated my graphics drivers.what do i do!!

Account problems

I'm trying to log into my account but it just says 'complete your subscription' even though I should have a valid subscription and I have charges on my bank account from Netflix. I tried to sign in and out again but that didn't work. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I'd like to contact Netflix customer support directly to resolve the issue, but I can't see how? There are no contact details on the website. Any help would be appreciated.

Trick to use 1 account in multiple households

I apologize if this is common knowledge already but I recently realized that if you use an Apple TV device to sign into Netflix, it does not prompt you to enter a code or “change households”. I believe Apple TV does not provide Netflix the IP Address associated with it, so Netflix can’t determine if the device is in the same or different household. Sucks that you need to purchase an Apple TV to share an account, but at $17.99/mo for a standard no-ad subscription, you’ll recoup the money you spent on the Apple TV box in less than a year.

Has Renee Zellweger always been such a poor actress? This movie is unwatchable to me. Between her godawful accent and cheekbones practically reaching her squinty eyes, it's hard to focus on much else. The lousy script certainly does not help.

I never really understood the point of constitutional monarchy. To my understanding, the monarch is just a figurehead with little to no sway in political affairs. Said affairs are handled by the government, usually the head of said government (i.e. the prime minister).So why continue a tradition such as this?

Can we remove the games section? Or at least hide it?

I'm willing to bet over 99% of users don't gaf about the games section. It's just bs cash farm mobile games, nothing actually fun. Netflix is for movies and shows. If someone wants to play a bs mobile game, they'll play it on mobile. If someone wants to play a real game worth playing, they'll play it on Steam. No one wants this section. It's dumb af. Remove it or allow users to at least hide it. I'm considering just dropping netflix entirely at this point the way they've been going recently. This is like adding local weather to pr0nhub. makes no f***ing sense

ELI5: Why does more modern coding require more resources to run?

Take the old game "Baldur's Gate". It was released in 1998. It required a minimum CPU speed of 166MHz single core and 16MB of RAM.Now take the very same game but the enhanced edition that was released in 2013. It requires at minimum 1GHz of CPU speed at 2 cores and 1GB of RAM.Of course, the more modern specs are low for this day and age, however if you multiply the specs from the old ones, they are quite substantial, and I simply wonder why this is.Naturally, this would make sense if the graphics have been improved, but in this particular example, they have not. The graphics are sprite based upon digitally drawn backgrounds, and neither of those has changed in fidelity between the releases.The UI is changed, but none of the other graphics are. The enhancements comes from being able to run it on newer computers, and some UI elements being changed and of course modernizing of the code itself, bug fixing and so on. One of the only changes to the game that I can imagine would raise the specs is that they removed loading screens of the game entirely. But on a modern computer the loading screen on the old game was already a split second, so in my mind I don't see why this would cause such a bump in specs.And of course, this is just an example.I figured that modernizing source code from the 1990s would actually make it perform faster, not slower, because computers reads the code in the same way now as they did back then do they not? But this is obviously not the case.If someone can explain this to me I would really appreciate it.

ELI5: Why is predictive text still so bad? It doesn't seem to have advanced overtime whatsoever

I'm so sick of words on my phone having jumbled letters or autocorrecting to something completely different from what Inwas writing, not even making sense in the sentence. Predictive and autocorrect is my bugbear. Even writing this felt like a slog. My cousin once quipped 'smart phone canne that smart otherwise they would be so bad at autocorrect' or something along those lines.Yet we have tech that can simulate authors, write essays and all sorts of other things.(The 'Inwas' above is a good example of a standard typo. How can predictive text not acknowledge that isn't a word and doesn't fit within the context of the sentence?)
