Is there a way to rate ads or change what kind of ad content gets targeted to a profile? I keep seeing the creepy af Uzumaki advertisement during every TV show or movie. I've not watched any anime on the profile so I'm not sure where it's coming from.

ELI5: How does a Radar-Warning-System (RWR) identify whether a bandit has successfully gained a radar lock?

I understand how you'd detect lasing but not radar lock, especially at the distances and intensities involved (like I'm familiar with how an NMR machine works but I cannot correlate it with RWR).MAWS also make sense - you're scanning with radar or laser or IR and use doppler effects to notice something is moving towards you.

ELI5 Why is range of EVs so affected by the environment they’re in, compared to cars on gas?

I see and hear about a random EV that has X range in 20 degree (Celsius) weather, steady speed of 110 km/h, but Y range (significant difference) if it’s 130 km/h. Even more of a difference if it’s 0 degrees.If it needs to pull a trailer with 500kg it loses, i don’t know, 25% of the range?There are probably other examples. I’m not talking these specific examples, i just mean in general.Nobody ever talks about that when it comes to cars that run on gas or diesel, i assume because it doesnt affect them as much. Why?

Did no one else find this show unfocused and weird as shit?We move from seeing a wolf to some mid-teen crisis to a bear who lives harmoniously with her to a hippie environmentalist to 3 semi-religious/queer boys who are so politically correct they can barely speak a sentence to pretending a wedding night? Idk. Sos. I’m in too deep to not finish the series.

Low bitrate on Microsoft Edge/Windows 11?

I'm streaming Netflix on Microsoft Edge, and even though when I hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D and it says I'm streaming at 1440p, the image still looks super blocky.Has anyone experience this? For the record, my dl speed is 440 Mbps, and I'm using a wired connection.

[Edit: How do people know what 2D shapes go together to make certain 3D shapes when *making patterns.]I know if someone wanted to sew a cube, they would cut 6 squares and sew them together. If they wanted to sew a pyramid, they would cut 1 square and 4 triangles.But what about weird shapes like with stuffed animals? If someone had never seen a sewing pattern for a teddy bear in their entire life, how would they know what shapes to cut and sew to make the teddy bear?(It seems simple in concept, but it's hard to imagine how certain shapes would come together to create something like a humanoid doll.)

I recognize that the Menendez brothers may gain from this show, but considering their criticisms of the producer and their claims of blatant, unproven lies, doesn’t it seem like Netflix has done a disservice to the truth and the families involved by labeling it “based on a true story”? The reality is that these brothers’ narratives will be shaped by Netflix’s portrayal, and few people will bother to fact-check every detail. They aren’t compensated for this, and Netflix seems focused on creating the most dramatic series possible, often at the expense of real families and authentic stories.

Why YSK: I have seen friends and family members prescribed benzodiazepines without being informed that it can be habit forming and that withdrawal can have side effects that range from uncomfortable to excruciating. Additionally, long term use is associated with cognitive impairment symptoms including memory issues, reduced attention span, slower processing speed, and an increased risk of dementia. I feel people are often prescribed benzodiazepines without an end date or taper plan and may become dependent on them before they realize. Please be informed and ask questions. If I can stop anyone from experiencing the pain I have seen one of my loved ones go through during withdrawal, it would mean so much. Netflix just forced their add plan on me. Now it wants my birthday, personal info to customize adds

Info to customize adds that I don’t want and won’t watch. I will not give them this info. Anyway to bypass this stupid screen? Also curious if many cut their subscription due to this forced change in plans. No matter how early they’ve announced etc it doesn’t change this horrible experience with them. For other services with adds I knew upfront what I subscribed for, so no issues there. Netflix downgraded its most loyal customers, that is never ok and the slight reduction in fees doesn’t help with angry customers. I was going to still give it a try to see if I can handle the adds and if their library is the same. But if they want more personal data on top of their sh..ty move that is the last straw. Please no comments that this was public news, etc. comment only if you are venting, contributing and answering the questions above please. Thanks
