eli5: How do other animals produce more than 1 baby at a time?

This is a pretty broad question so let me explain: I obviously know how human babies are made, sperm goes into the egg and develops into a baby. Sometimes more than one baby can come out of the egg splits after fertilization or if two seperate eggs are fertilized at the same time. How do other animals produce more than one baby (like cats, rodents, etc)? Is it the same process?

Cancelled after 16 years

Idk if the mods will remove this for soapboxing but I just feel the need to rant. We've been customers of Netflix for 16 years. We have been disappointed with declining content for years but today was the last strawWe got moved to an ad supported plan. Fine. I mean not fine, we hate it but we were prepared to deal with it. But ad supported plans don't support casting. Why? There can't be a legitimate reason for this. Our older TV can't download apps so the only way to watch Netflix is to cast. Now it's useless to us. Such a shame

I am not sure what status it has, I thought it was part of Iraq, but in Millennium Dawn game it is independent (early 2000s, before 2003 Iraq War). So basically, what status does Iraqi Kurdistan have? Is it separatist republic which declared secession from Iraq and is de facto independent but internationally unrecognized? Or is it very autonomous federal or confederal subject? Or maybe something else? If it is autonomous subject, what rights does it have?

Why does a years old insect bite sometimes flare up?Years ago my leg was bitten by some unknown insect (England). It caused massive swelling around the leg, it was difficult to get my trousers on for a time. Dr gave me some antibiotics and eventually it went down/ pain went. Since then, I’ve had a tiny bump where the bite was and occasionally it will flare up in size (very small) and cause a very minor discomfort. It will just go again without intervention. Why / how does this happen?

(I’m a language learner myself, so please take this as a helpful “guide” and not as someone trying to make you feel bad). For the context of this YSK, I am a native American-English speaker. You were probably taught that “an” should be used before words that start with a vowel. This is generally correct, but not always. This is because it is the sound that dictates if you should use “a” or “an,” not the actual letter. “European,” even though it starts with “E,” requires the article “a.” The sound created by the “eu” in “European” (as well as in “Europe,” “euro,” and “eukaryote”) is a consonant sound. This is opposed to the “E” in words like “egg” or “elephant” that have a vowel sound.A European, a euro, a eukaryote; an egg, an elephant. A university; an umbrella. A one; an obstacle. This is also true for acronyms, but pay attention to how you say them! If you say the letters instead of reading the acronym as a word: An FBI agent; an NSA agent, an EU country, a UK constituent country, etc. Or, if you read the acronym as a word: A NASA employee; a NATO member; a scuba diver. Disclaimer: some words are correct with either “a” or “an,” such as the word “herb.” However, this still comes down to the sound and how you pronounce it. YSK When you turn your generator off also turn the gas off.

Why YSK: That when you turn your generator off, turn the gas off first to be sure the carburetor float doesn't stick or even leak and fill the cylinder with gas. It can happen in a short period of time. Ideally, turn the fuel tank petcock off and let the engine run out of gas, then turn the switch off if it is being shut down for the night. IMHO. To turn off the generator:Turn the AC circuit breaker off.Turn the fuel off.Turn the generator switch off.Check that the generator switch is off so as not to kill the battery. (if it is electric start)

ELI5: It takes much longer to stir cacao powder to dissolve in water than it does for other substances such as sugar. Why is it so hard to dissolve cocoa powder in water?

From what I remember they get to the pregnant daughter in law conclusion by basically exhausting every other option. The main proof they have is tallow on the hair shaft. But tallow is very common even in the US. If u eat steak and touch ur hair while hands are still greasy then boom tallow on hair. she lied about her husband being in bed but like the other Officer says that could be because of Shame.There is no evidence.I don't think she'll be persecuted
