Some Weird “New Device” Bug?
At /r/netflix
It only just started today but anytime I go into the app on my phone I get an email saying a new device has logged. It's says the new device is a mobile browser and I get the email within seconds of going to app on phone. I'm not worried that someone got my password or I'm being hacked. Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else.

Restaurant etiquette WHY YSK:-If your party size changed, let the host know upon arrival or sooner.-if you need a high chair or booster seat, please mention that at the time of booking.-children count as people in a reservation, for example, people will book for 4 then show up with 4 and a child. This is a problem because on a busy night, every table is booked. Your group of 4 has a table for 4, nowhere for the child to sit. If the child needs a seat and food, they count as a person. -if you require or expect a children's menu, check before going to make sure they have one, or have food that your child will enjoy.-your reservation and all reservations are scheduled for a specific amount of time depending on how many people are in the group. Typically for 2 guests 1.5 hrs. 3/4 guests 2hrs. 5/6 guests 2.5 hrs. 6 guests+ 3 hrs. If you stay beyond that time frame, your server loses out on a seating and loses money and can cause other guests reservations to be delayed. This is also a reason to call the restaurant if you're going to be late.-servers & restaurant employees are trained to course your meal for you. Meaning you give your entire order, apps & entrees. The restaurant will make sure 1st course comes 1st then 2nd course comes after. You don't need to keep your entree order a secret until you're ready for it to come to the table. If you're worried about being rushed, just politely let your server know you want to take your time. Alternatively, if you're in a hurry or have to be out for a show/event/etc, PLEASE let your server know when you SIT. This ensures the best experience for you in a timely manner. -wine tasting is to make sure wine hasn't gone bad. There is a small margin for error with the corks, they can rot, air can get into the wine causing it to go bad, there could be sediment and other reasons the wine could have turned during production/storage. You're not tasting it to see if you 'like' it. -reaching into bar garnishes is NEVER appropriate or funny. You want an olive? ASK. -Would you show up at Target an hour and a half before they open and press your face on the door saying "I just wanna buy a gift certificate!" No, you'd wait until they open. A LOT of people seem to think this is acceptable behaviorat restaurants. If the sign says closed, please come back when we are open. -please don't touch your server. -if you have food allergies, let your server know when you sit, not when your enrtree comes out and you've had 3 bites and as me "are there nuts in this pesto? I'm allergic"Your local service industry staff thanks you for your for your cooperation 🥰Fellow service industry folx- what else?

I’m looking for positive and uplifting shows that aren’t fake

I’m kind of done with the murder mysteries and cold cases, and I want to watch something more airy/breezy, something you can also watch while cooking. But I’ve noticed that the ‘feel good with the fake obsticals to overcome’ style is irritating me. For example a house make over show that pretends there is a storm coming and they don’t know if they’ll finish, while in reality there is no storm it’s just editing, that combining with a lot of dramatic and over the top editing and personalities is tiring to me.I saw a show called Motel Makeover or something that was less of what I described above so I enjoyed that very much, they didn’t pretend to have problems all there problems were pretty real and the brushed over it pretty quickly. Also I didn’t like the final table because it felt rigged at the end and too dramatic. But food related content is also up my alley!

YSK handicap parking spaces are only legally enforceable if they have a sign.

In the U.S., federal law dictates handicap spaces in parking lots. That law dictates that a handicap spot is not legal, or enforceable, unless designated by a sign at the front of the space. There are further requirements as to what is on the sign, but as far as getting towed, ticketed, or otherwise prohibited from parking in a handicap space, none of it is legal if there’s no sign. Even if there’s a painted wheelchair symbol in the space, it’s not legally considered a handicap space.WHY YSK: This in no way means that you should park in handicap spaces that don’t have a sign. That’s rude and inconsiderate of people who need them. That being said, if you ever get in trouble for parking in a handicap space that doesn’t have a sign, this information will be useful if you decide to dispute a ticket/have trouble from being towed.

ELI5: Why is there not an Imaginary Unit Equivalent for Division by 0

Both break the logic of arithmetic laws. I understand that dividing by zero demands an impossible operation to be performed to the number, you cannot divide a 4kg chunk of meat into 0 pieces, I understand but you also cannot get a number when square rooting a negative, the sqr root of a -ve simply doesn't exist. It's made up or imaginary, but why can't we do the same to 1/0 that we do to the root of -1, as in give it a label/name/unit?Thanks.

ELI5 - Why do airlines still overbook flights as it seems rather inexcusable with today’s tech?

I don’t assume that airlines are issuing quotas to agents to sell their tickets using offline systems resulting in overbooking. Everything is booked live I would assume. So why does overbooking happen? Even if a passenger doesn’t show up, the ticket has been paid for. Sure you could say that the empty seat = missed opportunity to make even more money, but it comes at a fair cost to customers negatively affected by it, the airlines reputation, and of course the manpower required to handle emotions and logistics to rebook or compensate. So why do it still? Surely the profit margin of doing so isn’t worth the hassle given the issues.

Hi, I um got a problem with Netflix, and I do not know how so solve it.So I've lately got a new card, and netflix sent me a message that I should update my payment method. But when I put all the new correct detail into it, it loads and then shows me a text saying : There appears to be a problem with the payment method you are trying to use. My subscription got cancelled and when I tried to restart it, it just showed the same text.... Is it a Netflix or my bank problem?
