Bad Netflix quality in Edge help
At /r/netflix
I changed to edge, because opera doesn't support the full quality. Right now I got the cheapest subscription (1080p). Hardware acceleration is off and Netflix quality is set to high.Still I get 480p quality in some movies not in all of em especially in long movies like longer than 1 1/2 hours. I can't take this no more

What exactly is NF's DV5 codec?
At /r/netflix
As we can see the information of the currently running stream on netflix's tv app by click on information option, i've seen a few 4K movies have their video codec mentioned as DV5 and few others are HEVC, AV1. The latter ones are quite popular but there is not much info about DV5 on internet.Is it a proprietary codec developed by netflix? Does anybody else use this? Is it a completely new one or a modified form of HEVC? And why nothing about it on the internet?AI apps say DV5 is dolby vision, No you dumbo, it was an SDR movie.

ELI5: How does remotely hacking a computer system work?

I'm trying to write an adventure for my TTRPG group in a sci fi setting. Long story short, remotely hacking an abandoned amusement park space station's computer system would be a key part of the heist in the story.Problem is: I have no idea what so ever about how hacking works. I know not to download or click shit I don't 100% know the origin of. That's it.But how would one, in generalities, go about hacking a computer system if duping and employee in to downloading a Trojan virus is not an option?

ELI5: Why do the Dalits (The Untouchable Class) of India's caste system still get treated poorly, even outside India's borders?

I think to say the Dalit's are treated "poorly" might be the understatement of the year, considering they're viewed as untouchable just from the moment that they're born, no matter how much potential they have, due to India's caste system.While I can understand that thousands of years of a rigid caste system are basically impossible to break from, why do the Dalit's still get treated like subhumans even outside of India, at least when they run into other Indians that are a different caste.I highly doubt that non-Indians would care if an Indian were Dalit or Sundra. But a Sundra would still view a Dalit as an untouchable if they were in Michigan instead of Mumbai.

Netflix isn't good for download
At /r/netflix
I have downloaded 2 spider man movies for the weekend that are both over 2 hours long, watched one of the movies halfway and then got hit with a blank screen and text saying I can't continue watching the movie because of the download limit and that I need internet to continue watching. Anyone know how to fix or is this un-fixable?

That was the inmate's own request, he wanted a quick death.To my understanding, the squad aims at the heart, not the head. I can imagine that, when you are shot through the heart, you still experience the pain, because you still have O2 and sugared blood in your brain so it is still functioning. Is a shot through the head not a better option if you look for an instant death? Will that shot instantly destroy the brain so you won't experience anything?
