netflix mobile app, download limit without any downloads?
At /r/netflix
Hey yall, i tried downloading a couple of shows/ movies since i do not have internet at home at the moment. unfortunatly I tried to download them in uni and left before checking if they actually downloaded.now i have the problem, that these episodes movies did not all download. i tried to press download again after realizing the mistake, but now netflix claims i have reached my limit of monthly downloads.I know this is not the case since i literally re-activated my account yesterday specifically to download shows to watch at home without internet. I was able to download 5 episodes and two movies, therefore i should be able to download 8 more. I think netflix is claiming the failed downloads as propers downloads. I just wanna see these shows/ movies. They are the same and they did not download yet. How can the app be so stupid? How do i contest this?

List of unique Netflix regions by catalogue
At /r/netflix
I am specifically wanting to assemble a list of countries where a movie / TV show exists and is not found anywhere else.I am aware of the site "UNOGS" and there are about 37 countries listed there based on catalogue volume. But I do not believe that the list there is inclusive of other countries such as Saudi Arabia. Does Saudi Arabia have any content that is unique to them?Take Colombia for example. They seem to have a unique catalogue and Ecuador is not on UNOGS list so it is possible that Ecuador is configured to provide some or all of a neighboring country's catalogue.Using UNOGS and ChatGPT I was able to assemble this list, but I am not sure if there are other countries missing in this list that provide unique title(s).Any information as to best do this is greatly appreciated.ArgentinaAustraliaBelgiumBrazilCanadaChileChina (Hong Kong)ColombiaCosta RicaCzech RepublicDenmarkEgyptFinlandFranceGermanyGreeceHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIsraelItalyJapanLithuaniaMalaysiaMexicoNetherlandsNew ZealandNorwayPanamaPeruPhilippinesPolandPortugalPuerto RicoRomaniaSaudi ArabiaSingaporeSlovakiaSouth AfricaSouth KoreaSpainSwedenSwitzerlandTaiwanThailandTurkeyUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesVietnam

The Perfect Couple NDA
At /r/netflix
Maybe I am too naive, but whats the problem with signing an NDA??? In my understanding they can't legally cover crimes and anything else is family business, why not just sign it? If I were part of the family and saw her throwing a tantrum about it, I'd find her sus af at the least.

ELI5: How do you steer a hot air balloon?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
I've heard people say things like they choose a wind current or something, but that sounds so imprecise and doesn't make a lot of sense... Like I've heard the wind moving in different directions at different elevations? But when you get close to whatever field you're trying to land in what happens if the wind starts blowing you a different direction?

New standard plan personalization questions
At /r/netflix
I've been put on the new standard plan. I have opted out for any personalization in Netflix. However when I open the app on my fire stick this morning it immediately shows personalization questions for ads. Does anyone know what all the questions are and why the personalization questions are displaying when I have opted out of everything? Thanks

Am I the only one who gets really upset for days on end when the writers "ruin" a show for me and I have to abandon it?
At /r/netflix
Okay so this is the reason I prefer movies sometimes. When watching a series you invest your time watching those hour long episodes, falling in love with the characters, only for them to be killed off or made to do something that doesn't make sense. It's honestly really frustrating for me, like is it normal to take it so personally and get that mad? Shows I've abandoned due to this include The 100, The Walking Dead, Prison Break, The Blacklist, New Amsterdam to name a few. Finding a good series to binge is such a great feeling that can make me lost into its world, I just have this dire need for satisfying endings I guess.

The Frog. Seriously, check it out.
At /r/netflix
Korean limited TV series. I haven’t seen TV this good in years. The writing was impeccable, the performances were stellar and the visuals were stunning (seriously, I need to visit S Korea now).Warnings though: it is tense throughout. This is not a breezy show. And the content is heavy. Admittedly, I cry pretty easily, but this show actually had me sobbing. But it has a good heart to it, which is important for me in a show. I’m baffled that this show isn’t everywhere right now. Do yourself a favour and have a look.

Like a lot of these Korean action comedies the comedy doesn't gel very well with the more serious subject matter (especially in the 2nd half) but it was surprisingly emotional and it has 2 pretty damn good fight scenes. I think it's definitely worth checking out.

YSK most European countries no longer want tourists
At /r/YouShouldKnow
Why YSK: European countries like France, the Netherlands, Greece, Italy, and Spain have been dealing with overtourism and don’t want more tourists. In the Netherlands, they are trying to ban new flights to Amsterdam Airport. Same is true with the UK and London Heathrow airport. Greece and Italy is trying to ban cruises. Tourism is extremely damaging to the environment, and many countries want an end to it

YSK that no one should enlist in the US military if they have a college degree
At /r/YouShouldKnow
Why YSK: so many people on Reddit tell people who can’t find a job to enlist in the military. Most motley recruiters also push it. That is a terrible idea. If you have a college degree and want to join, you should commission to be an officer. It doesn’t matter if you have a poor GPA or a useless major, the only requirement for education is you need a degree. Enlisted people get treated extremely poorly in the military. If you sign up as a 22 year old with a college degree, you will get bullied and hazed by 19 year olds. You will get told to wash a toilet with a tooth brush. No one wants that. You also get paid way more as an officer. An O-3 that has been in for 4 years will make more than an E-7 that has been in 20 years. It is also extremely hard to transition from being an enlisted to being an officer. Most commanders will not enlisted guys with degrees to submit an application to be an officer until their first enlistment is up.And it is just a waste in general to spend 4 years getting a degree only to get a job a 18 year old can get

Rebel Ridge isn't half bad
At /r/netflix
The initial scene is actually pretty accurate, which is rare in a movie. I've seen hundreds of bodycam videos, and it accurately represents police procedure for the most part.It also seems to be based on a real situation, where a former Marine was stopped and had a large sum of money confiscated. He was one of these morons who 'didn't trust banks' and had over eighty thousand dollars in his trunk. In this case, the cops weren't corrupt, but they did take his money believing it was related to narcotics. He later sued (and I think won). Just a little lesson in critical thinking for anyone who's interested: carrying large sums of cash on you all the time is thousands of times more risky than putting it in a bank.

I love watching detective/Serial Killer shows and have watched the iconic ones like True Detective to Mindhunter, Dahmer, and Unbelievable.I also watched Dexter but it becomes boring (same repeated scenarios) after an extent. And TBH!
