ELI5: If the universe expands by space itself "stretching" uniformly in all directions, why doesn't matter stretch too? Why don't streets get longer or our planet bigger? Objects are mostly empty space right?

Are the forces of attraction and such between atoms strong enough to compensate and they "pull back" the object? Does the expansion of space act as a force that tries to pull atoms apart? If the expansion of the universe is accelerating, can it at one point overpower the attraction between atoms and disintegrate objects?

Pantheon is a great!

It’s like a William Gibson novel set in the contemporary if not slight future. Just binged the season. The animation is neither bad nor nothing to write home about. The main draw is for sure the plot. Would give it a strong 8.5/10If you liked ghost in the shell, ergo proxy, irobot, akira, cyberpunk edge runners, scavengers reign, there’s probably aspects of this show you’ll enjoy.

ELI5: Why doesn’t kidney stone pain get worse with hydration?

From what I understand, kidney stones cause the amount of pain they do because urine is blocked and causes the kidney to swell. But not only is drinking a large amount of water encouraged, it apparently alleviates pain. But shouldn’t more water make more swelling and more pain?

Ad-supported tier also limits content

We recently downgraded to the ad-supported tier to save money. I understood that this meant I would have ads and could only stream on one device at a time. What I didn’t realize is that some content would now be locked. My kids went to watch Captain Underpants Hack-O-Ween and Boss Baby Back In The Crib, only to find they were locked with a message saying they are not available on the ad-supported plan due to licensing issues. I feel like they were not transparent about this when changing plans. I went on the Netflix customer service chat to complain about this. The response I got was, “I suggest you to please upgrade the plan.”If it wasn’t for my kids I would absolutely cancel Netflix.
