Help needed: Loading circle appears, audio plays but no video (Firestick)

I’ve searched Netflix help articles to no avail. Some (not all, but a lot) of shows is doing this strange behaviour where I click on an episode, the loading circle appears, the audio plays, but no video appears (loading circle remains). When I click back the video appears for about half a second before going back to the menu.This is on a Firestick.I’ve tried removing and re-installing an app. It’s super frustrating. Is anyone experiencing the same or know a solution?Many thanks in advance.

Thoughts on the Recent Netflix Content? I am Disappointed

I feel like there are thousands of Superhero and Murder / Crime movies, but other than these the content is drying up. I am into the dramas, and the recent content of the dramas is a bit weak as of recent. I feel like Netflix is losing its well-roundedness and merely catering disproportionately to whatever is in vogue. What are your thoughts on this?

Wondering if Anthony Jeselnik’s new Netflix special comes out at midnight; it’s announced to release on November 26 (tomorrow), does that mean that as soon as the clock hits 00:00 it’s out, or does it come out sometime during the day tomorrow? I was looking at my dog and that made me wonder how come dogs and cats can have yellow eyes while people can only have shades of brown, green, and blue. Also what's up with those frogs that have red eyes? Does the colour give them some evolutionary advantage?

Netflix announced a promising new medical drama way back in February called Pulse. It supposedly wrapped filming in July. Anyone have any idea on when it may come out? I haven’t been able to find an update on it. The cast is great I’ve only been able to see that it may arrive early 2025. Not sure if that’s true or not

This was an excellent show! Highly recommended.The writer does an amazing job of giving the viewer a glimpse into the journeys of the various characters by displaying their histories, dreams, aspirations, desires, and hopes, feelings, etc. This allows the view to resonate and identify with the various characters; however, the writer also depicts both the violence and flaws of the characters and also the multiple forms of violence that these characters are subjected to and struggle against.The beautiful humanization of those who are neglected, marginalized, and societally abandoned depicted by the series really allows the viewer to feel the full weight of the tragic and horrific final massacre.Netflix needs to continue employing such great writers and needs to keep producing content that grapples with such important and heavy themes.

ELI5: Why are expiration dates checked by liquor stores, airports, towing companies, etc?

Why does the liquor store insist that the driver's license I show to prove my age must be unexpired? It's not like my birthdate will change when I get a new license. Same when flying, or voting.
Also why do some apartments and HOAs insist that your license plate not be expired?What do they gain by checking the expiration dates?

ELI5: In a motor or generator, why is a coil of wires any different from a big copper wire in a single loop?

When I see coiled wires in a motor, my mind has never been able to get past that all the coil loops are touching each other, and I'm picturing any of the current freely moving across the loops.We know that densely wound coils make for higher torque, but if we take that to the extreme and make a perfectly dense coil, how is that different from a single solid piece of conductor?

Captain Fall - i am so angry

I just finished watching the animated comedy-not-so-comic Captain Fall and found myself so angry when, hunting down every possible hint of a second season in the making, i found out that not only it will never be renewed for such, but that it's been cancelled mid first season. What the fuck, why all the good shows get cancelled and never get a decent, decorous end? It might be one of my new favorite cartoons and realizing that i will never get to know what happens to Jonathan or how to the things that happened in the last episode that has aired will be sorted out. That's horrible

Okay so full disclosure - I really don’t know very much about cars in general. I’ve noticed in the last few years that more and more cars are turning off while sitting at a red light then starting up again before driving. Is this really better than the car just staying on for the two minute wait? If so, why is it better? Is it to save gas or the environment somehow? Or is it specific to hybrid and electric cars?
