Hi everyone! I’m currently working on my master’s thesis and I’m exploring English dubbing - its quality, cultural impact, how it’s perceived by audiences. I’d love to hear your thoughts!- What do you think of English dubbing in general? (e.g., films, TV shows, anime, etc.)- Are there any specific examples (good or bad) that stand out to you?- Have you watched "Dark" or " Money Heist " in English? Tv show reccomendations

I’m on the hunt for a new TV show to completely obsess over! I absolutely LOVE romantic TV shows, so if it’s got a swoon-worthy love story, I’m in. Whether it’s light and feel-good, dramatic and steamy, or filled with heartache and longing, I’m open to anything as long as romance is at the center of it. Bonus points if it has great chemistry between the leads, compelling storylines, or unforgettable moments that will have me rewatching scenes over and over again.Help me expand my watchlist—I want something I can binge and completely fall in love with. Netflix sign-in problem??

Since yesterday Netflix signed out from all of our devices. My phone, TV, laptop, and all of my other family devices. So we thought it was a password reset problem so we reseted the password turns out we needed to pay the “new” subscription plan and created an account but under the same account that we had previously. I don’t know if Netflix deactivated our old account?? But now with our “new plan” which we selected the standard plan. The TV sign-in worked and my other device worked but my phone won’t sign-in and it says “something went wrong” is this my problem or did Netflix changed the policy??

Weird color saturation

So I was watching Stranger Things tonight and in the middle of an episode the color saturation went wild. Scenes will switch being looking completely normal to being colored green to colored red, to the point it’s hard to see in darkly lit scenes. On the Netflix menu everything is colored normally. In fact, my entire TV looks totally normal, and I went through my color settings and everything was fine. Has anyone else had this problem ever? Any possible fixes?

In the series “baby” what happens at the club?

I have so many questions from the pilot. When chiara and ludo go to club. There are two guys who say “those two will make me a lot of money” but in the second episode it doesn’t mention what happens after that. It time jumps to the next day instead. Did those guys drug them or did they get away? Also I’m so upset for chiara ignoring ludo in front of her friends..

ELI5: Why don’t we retest all DNA from cold case files with today’s technology and database?

If a case went cold from 5-20 years ago, and we have the new technology and records now.. why don’t we test it all?My question is less about technology, but more about additional records on file and accessable in something like a national database. Example: someone left DNA for a 2006 crime, but there was no other DNA sample to test/compare to. In 2011 they get locked up for another unrelated crime and they collect the DNA and put it in a notational database. Why don’t they compare old DNA samples that couldn’t be compared, to everyone ever convicted for a crime?

Just finished KAOS. Thought it was unique, creative, and incredibly well done. Its obviously been cancelled. As was archive 81, lockwood & co, Mindhunter, CAOS (sabrina), midnight club, the society, 1899..... all this suspenseful and engaging shows that I've LOVED. Suggestions for series with at least 2 seasons and that have a proper conclusion/ending?

ELI5: how DO insurance companies get away with what they do?

After hearing the news about that CEO today, I’m wondering how nobody has found a way to make insurance…not predatory? Is that dumb? This doesn’t just go for healthcare either, insuring cars, homes, and paying so much money. I genuinely don’t understand why “it is the way it is” when millions of people are negatively affected by lack of coverage and clearly, someone’s upset enough to start taking heads over it.. I know this might be a stupid question sorry
