Carry-On on Netflix: Die Hard at the Airport... or Paul Blart in First Class?

Just finished Carry-On on Netflix, and I gotta say, it felt like they were aiming for Die Hard at the airport but ended up with Die Hard meets Paul Blart: Mall Cop.Taron Egerton killed it in Kingsman, but here? He gave it his best shot, but pulling off a Bruce Willis vibe is not as easy as it looks. As for Jason Bateman as the bad guy? I love the guy, but he felt more like he was about to launch into an awkward Ozark-style monologue than actually terrorize anyone.And then there’s Theo Rossi. The guy has “creepy dude” locked down—it’s like he’s always one ominous head tilt away from asking if you’ve seen his missing ferret. At least he stayed consistent. Anyone else get the feeling this movie was just one overly ambitious TSA officer away from becoming a full-blown comedy? What’d you guys think?

ELI5: Why does a crowd singing at a concert sound good?

I thought about it and with that many people singing at around the same note but not exactly the same, it should sound awful, shouldn't it?If I simultaniously played 10 notes that are close to each other but not the same on the piano or some saxophones or something it'd be so damn dissonant. So why is it that when a crowd sings that isn't the case?

My husband and I recently created a free online version of this called Cinema Circuit, and I wanted to share it here in case you'd would like to try it out. I want to mark a show as watched or disliked, either way, don't show me the show again.

We watch shows, we either like them or hated them, but either way, we are done with the show and don't want to see the show again. This could be done by setting a "Hide" flag attached to the entire show, it would apply to all shows in the series. For example, we watched all of "Monk", so we could set the "Hide" flag and we'd never see "Monk" again in any search, except a search for "Hidden" shows. The thumbs up and down would indicate why the show was hidden.There are other shows that we start watching and do not like, will never like, and don't watch to be bothered with ever again. Usually, these are Hallmark movies, but could be anything for anybody. We would mark these as thumbs down and Hidden. Then we are never bothered again with the show. Again, if we change our minds, we can go to the "Hidden Shows" page and unhide anything we want.On Netflix's side, this is more data to evaluate user preferences. It will also reduce network data by reducing the results of any report, so should be cost savings after implentation.

As an extra precaution when working with electricity, engineers wear rubber soled boots to make sure they are not grounded so if there is a surge of electricity then they should be unharmed.This is because rubber is a great insulator and electricity cannot pass through itHowever let's say the engineer is working on a fuse box while they are 100% protected by rubber soles and there is a surge of electricity, how is the engineer not killed anyway by the electricity flowing through them and getting stopped by the rubber? How is that different to the electricity continuing the path?Or how does it know from the fuse box that it's not a path to ground through the engineer? Does the first load manage to relay a message to the rest that it's not a viable path?

I may not be asking my question properly.I purchased the top plan, ($22.99) for use by 2 elderly relatives.I very rarely watch anything on Netflix, they love it. They each have a Roku that I set up and logged them in to Netflix.My question is this, if I switch to the basic plan, (ads, only 2 devices), will that switch require a new login on each device?

ELI5: When looking up the biggest fish caught on rod and reel, you get fish in the thousands-of-pounds range. By my understanding of physics, when a heavy animal and a much lighter animal pull on each other, the heavier animal should win, so how is this possible?

I’m curious how humans managed to survive thousands of years ago as life was so so much harder than today. How did they build shelters or homes that were strong enough to protect them from rain etc and wild animalsHow did they keep predators like tigers bears or wolves from attacking them especially since BABIES cry loudly and all the time… seems like they would attract predators ? Back then there was just empty land and especially in UK with cold wet rain all the time, how did they even survive? Can’t build a fire when there is rain, and how were they able to stay alive and build houses / cut down trees when there wasn’t much calories around nor tools?Can someone explain in simple terms how our ancestors pulled this off..
