Error code d7307-1105
At /r/netflix
I've been having this issue for the past 3 or so months. When it happens it makes shows borderline unwatchable because every 5ish minutes it will buffer for a long time and then this error code will pop up. I googled it but can't find any answers; it looks like Netflix is still investigating it? But I was hoping someone else was having the same problem and had maybe figured out the cause or a solution. Thanks!(What I've tried so far: Restarting computer, clearing cache, using a different browser. Tried all multiple times and none have helped. My internet is stable so I know it isn't that.)

Foreign subtitles on English text when watching in English

I've got the weirdest problem and an hour on google & reddit hasn't helped. When I'm watching shows in English any text on screen in English, signs, text messages etc, has subtitles in a foreign language. I don't know why this has started and can't find any way to turn it off. I've checked every device I use Netflix on and they're all set to audio English and subtitles off. Can't be the only one who has had this, how do I make it stop?

It baffles me how Netflix never improves the inaccurate subtitles for a lot of their foreign content at all.

I just saw my mother watching some foreign nonsense called The Sea Beyond earlier today. Not sure what it's all about, didn't really give a dang to find out. All I know about it was that it's another random foreign show Netflix has in its catalog, and it is one with horrid translation issues. And with this one, it's the worst I've ever seen with any of them as the subtitles were on as she watched it and literally NOTHING was matching what the actors, or rathe yet the DUBBED actors, were reciting or saying AT ALL!That's been a major issue I've had with Neflix for years now when it comes to how they handle captions and subtitles for foreign shows and here, it's far more worse than any other one I've seen. I don't know why they never fixed that issue, but when it comes to the hard of hearing, it really does them a disservice more when they don't realize what they're reading doesn't match of to what they're watching.Especially when they're charging nearly thirty bucks a month for the bloody thing. With all that they could've been able afford to improve their subtitle tech. Use AI on that for improved accuracies or something , if they want.

ELI5 Is there a point at which increasing the size of a computer will not make it more powerful and if so, why?

I'm just curious if you could theoretically always add components in the proper ratio to a computer to make it faster or if that would either stop working altogether or you would see rapid decreases in marginal efficiency. If constraints outside of pure economics exist, what are they? Edit: Like if you could just Minecraft creative mode style spawn from the ether any kind or quantity of computer component as long as it is currently in existence and had no limit to how big you were allowed to build it would it just get more and more powerful as you add to it

Compared to its general seasonal climate and the challenges that creates it seems like the northern interior eastern states in the us have a large number of well known theme parks per capita: Kings Island, cedar point, Hershey park, kennywood, etc etc This climate is quite seasonal compared to the southern and western us but it seems that the park numbers are high despite the challenge. ESP compared to more favorable climate areas of the US.

ELI5: Why is it called Developmental Delay if so many DD people never catch up?

I work with people with intellectual disabilities and "developmentally delayed" is the usual accepted terminology where I am, but when I thought about it, the literal meaning behind it bothered me. If you're talking about someone with a developmental delay who took longer to learn skills like walking, talking, self-feeding, that makes sense. A delay means that something is running late, but will still happen. Like, if your train is delayed you will still be boarding a train to go to your destination at some point. But there's sooooo many people with a developmental delay diagnosis who never learn to walk, talk, self-feed, etc. Is it termed developmental delay to be more polite and hopeful that the people might one day learn these skills? It just feels inaccurate and dishonest in many cases.

ELI5 How does my dog "make" himself heavy when he doesn't want to be picked up?

So my boy is just shy of 50 lbs and is normally fairly easy to pick up. But when he doesn't want to move it seems as if he increases his weight 10 fold. I know that's not actually happening so what mechanism makes him so much harder to pick up when he does that

YSK: iPhone users, press the “:” in between the numbers when setting an alarm. This bypasses scrolling and now you just have to type in the number values.

Why YSK: Saves you some time and allows you to instantly set the alarm time you want, rather than having to scroll meticulously for numbers. For example, if you want to set your alarm for 6:27, just hit the space where it separates hour and minute and then a menu will pop up where you simply press 6,2, and 7. Bam, you’re good to go.
