How many times can you select the “I’m Traveling” option?
At /r/netflix
I heard that it will log you out after a month of using the traveling option. If I’m traveling for more than a month, will I be able to select that option again from the same location? Can I do that an infinite number of times or will it cut me off after an arbitrary amount of months? I can’t find a solid answer about this, so any insight into how it works would be helpful. Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit for Netflix help, but it seemed like it after reading the rules. Thanks.

I can't find what I've been watching and the profiles are changed.
At /r/netflix
There seem to be an issue with my netflix that I don't know how to fix. Basically I was watching on my laptop and then decided I want to watch on a bigger screen so I went to the TV to see my account profile pic changed to default and then I get to my profile and there is no sight of the shhow I was JUST watching 2 minutes ago and others I've had on the continue watching list. When I searched for the show, it's like it doesn't exist on Netflix. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

ELI5: NFL Field Goals
At /r/explainlikeimfive
Long-time football fan here. One thing I've never understood is, how is it that on a Kickoff, the kicker can easily make it go 80 yards, but then on a Field Goal, the max is usually 65ish yards? Is there a limit on how many steps back a kicker can step on a FG? Or is it that if they stepped back too far on a FG it would likely be blocked? Someone clarify for me please.

Looking for a show
At /r/netflix
Hey everyone!I hope you can help me. I am looking for a show I saw years ago on Netflix. There was a family of brothers in it who were living in the UK (maybe London) they were pakistani or maybe Indian? One of the brothers was a little bit slow and very sweet and he died at the end. They also had a teenage sister that they were raising together. They were involved in some kind of mob/mafia business which is also why or how their brother died.Thank you so much in advance!

Which movie ending left you speechless?
At /r/netflix
Incendies(2010) is one of those movies. When I first watched it after being recommended by a movie channel on instagram, I thought it would be a typical terrorism based film with lots of killing and moments of sympathy. However, after watching it for the first time, I was completely flabbergasted. The unraveling of Nawal's story, her incredible resilience, and the gut-punch of a final revelation made it one of the most gripping and intense cinematic experiences I've had in a long time. What really stuck with me was the way Denis Villeneuve captured the intersection of personal tragedy and broader historical conflict, making it feel both intimate and epic at the same time. It's not an easy watch, but Incendies is one of those films that stays with you long after the credits roll, forcing you to reflect on the complexities of human nature and the devastating consequences of hatred. Some other movies that surprised me includes, Children of Men(2006), The Hateful Eight(2015), Tumbbad(2018), The Village(2004).Share your experiences.

ELI5: If the Sun emits light in all frequencies, why isn't radar drowned out? Why couldn't it just use the reflected light from the Sun?
At /r/explainlikeimfive
I read recently that the Cassini spacecraft mapped Titan's surface with radar. I immediately had a few questions. The Sun puts out light in all frequencies (please correct me if I'm wrong here), and radar operates on frequencies of light we can't see (again, correct me if I'm wrong). If the frequencies of light Cassini used could penetrate the thick atmosphere of Titan, then surely the light from the Sun in those frequencies would do the same. Why couldn't the Cassini spacecraft just look for these frequencies instead of emitting them? This may also be my lack of understanding on the subject, but how could the light from a (comparatively) small spacecraft be powerful enough to pick it up again after it was reflected and scattered by Titan's surface/atmosphere?EDIT: The Sun does emit those frequencies but in far lower concentrations than visible light. The Sun's light peaks around visible light.

Which movie or tv-show thumbnail has misled you for the better or worse?
At /r/netflix
More than often, I've come upon a movie or tv-show title with a thumbnail that paints this picture for me, only to discover that it was something entirely different. For example: I've just watched Ordinary Angels (1000% a great movie). I zapped along the movie titles, came upon Ordinary Angels and based on the premise and the thumbnail showing an happy woman designed like an Hallmark movie poster, I decided to watch it. Expecting a sappy romantic down-on-your-luck movie, it was a wholly different movie, it was drama, a bit indie-like filmed. It was a great movie and I forgot my disappointment that quickly because I was hooked within 15 mins due to Hilary Swank's great acting. Another movie (can't remember the name) thumbnail was a Mariner in uniform arriving on the street all happy. Premise suggested that it was a boy returns to his girlfriend and romcom happy blah blah. I discovered that it was a war movie the whole time and the thumbnail was basically the last 10 seconds of it. Which was yours?

Has anyone deciphered the code of netflix bitrate selection on windows 11?

As the title says. Netflix will randomly select an arbitrary bitrate number for different shows for no good reason. Some shows will play at 14000+kbps, and others will play at 2600kbps or less. I meet all the requirements: hevc, 4k, edge, updated drivers.

KAOS deserves more seasons
At /r/netflix
Netflix has become a last-choice option in our house. It's the app we turn to when we can't find anything else to watch, or rewatch, and it was in one of those searches that I chanced upon KAOS. Top cast, fine directing, and a story that's 3,000 years old, told so many different ways that even if you were aware of the tale you wouldn't know what was going to happen next. And they cancelled it. They cancel anything and everything that doesn't match the criteria, which I assume matches the criteria Costco requires for a brand to sit on it's shelf. It wasn't perfect, but KAOS was enjoyable, and better than 99% of what has been released in-house.

Crime Drama where the cops/detectives aren't hindered by bureaucracy
At /r/netflix
Looking for shows which do not have trope of the detective not being allowed to investigate a certain case, or are constantly threatened to be pulled off, or caught in some institutional bureaucracy roadblock as side plots. These are becoming too tiresome dull as a side plot to me and I'm sick of it.I just want to see the protagonist/s allowed to investigate the crimes with the full backing of the department and just are able to get right to it. This doesn't necessarily mean corrupt cops/detectives at all. I just want to see them focus entirely on the nitty gritty of the investigation.
