Debenture

Features of the debenture
1. It is a document are certificate which acknowledge that of a company.
2. It is issued under the common seal of a company

Bond like debentures is an acknowledgement of debt issued under the common seal of a company and signed by an authorised signatory example of a bonds are deep discount bond and zero coupon bond.
The bonds are divided into two main categories:

2. Corporate Bond
Features of Bonds
1. Par value refers to the value stated on the face of the bond, which shows the amount which the company or government body promises to pay at the time of maturity.
2. Coupon Rate is nothing but the fixed rate of interest payable to the bondholder.
3. Maturity Date is the date at which the bond gets matured, and the principal amount is paid to the bondholder.
4. Redemption Value is the value paid to the bondholder, at the time of expiry of the term for which bond is issued.
