Just wanted to say I salute those of yall who HODLed or bought the dip 🫡
Welcome to the volatily of crypto (esp to the newer ones who just entered the space)
You’ve rode up BTC/ETH to new heights.
You’ve held through drawdowns in your PF that normies wouldn’t even experience.
It takes a kind of mental fortitude to be faced with a 10-25% drawdown and still be unfazed.
Sharing some wise words from a man I respect 🫡
Constantly evaluate the risk levels of your positions
- De-risk sufficiently if over-leveraged: Can your portfolio withstand 20% de-leveraging drawdowns?
- Wars are won over time: Capital must be preserved rather than wastefully expended in short term impulsive moves
Wise words from GCR
If you've been sidelined, believe this is a good opportunity to scale into high conviction tokens
If you're fully invested, just survive, hold your spot positions and do not capitulate
Someone once said, liquidations are a forced transfer of wealth from traders who need leverage to wealthy spot buyers
I was enjoying retirement from social media, but don't want to see my brothers get shaken out when the future is still so bright
Some personal thoughts
- PLEASE don't risk more then you can afford to lose.
- ETH = 10k, BTC = 100k will eventually happen. Chill in spot.
- Don't overtrade. Sometimes the best thing to do is to hold spot and build your wealth, and DCA.
- Please don't use leverage if you don't know what you're doing. Sure, you can make $ quickly with leverage, but you can lose it just as easily.
- I honestly believe if you'd holding long term spot bags (BTC/ETH), there is nothing to worry about
- Don't capitulate. There will be a time to sell, now is not that time.
- Sometimes we can be too emotionally involved in the crypto space. Take some breaks, go out, take a walk, travel, live life a little.
